Blue Lanka Tours (BLT) were one of three companies that we contacted prior to our trip to Sri Lanka. BLT were very quick to respond and eager to help us build an itinerary that we were happy with. Nimesha and Dinesh both contacted us via Whatsapp to ask if we had any questions and to ensure that the tour was tailored exactly how we wanted it to be. A few days prior to our trip, we also received an email from Carol who summarised our itinerary and informed us of what documents we needed to get together pre-travel. This was very helpful as we all know how complicated it can be to travel internationally nowadays! Once we arrived in Colombo, we were greeted by our Tour Guide, Dilshan and our Driver Isuru who wished my wife a very happy birthday and had a surprise for us in the van. They had organised balloons and a birthday cake which was an incredibly nice touch and very much appreciated. Nimesha was also able to organise a bespoke tasting menu that evening and this is an incredible way to celebrate the birthday. We were with Dilshan for around 6 days in total which included 2/3 hours of driving for most days and early starts to ensure we made the most of our days. Dilshan was very knowledgeable and spoke great English. He was always very happy to answer any questions we had and we became good friends with him by the end of our trip. One way that Dilshan was able to add great value to our excursions was through the contacts he had at all the main tourist sites to give us a personal guide. At Sigiriya, Dambulla Caves, Kandy Temple etc we had a specialist talk us through the significance of these sites which was very helpful and made our experience all that more enjoyable. We also heard from Carol on most days, who called us to check-in and make sure that everything was good on our end. I really couldn't recommend Blue Lanka Tours enough and would like to thank them for their top customer service during our travels around Sri Lanka. Until next time!

Blue Lanka yours EXCEEDED my expectations! The tour was professionally set out for us and our tour was so memorable! Our tour guide was incredible and we actually because friends . Roshan treated us more like family and that was what we loved ! Nothing we wanted was a problem and the tour was adapted to what we wanted to do . I have fallen in love with Sri Lanka mainly because of the amazing care, thoughtfulness and attention to detail from Blue Lanka tours. Everyone that works for this company is truly a blessing to meet and learn from. Our five day tour we had with Blue Lanka could not have been more perfect. When we were not able to take the train ride we had planned, our guide quickly solved our problem by instead having us enjoying a Tea Plantation tour. All of the people in the office were so patient with all the changes we made to our tour and the suggestions they had for our tour was also perfect in giving us a great taste and experience of this lovely country. I will be coming back to Sri Lanka and the first thing I will do is call up Blue Lanka Tours to once again lead the way in introducing me to more of this breath taking country. Wonderful Experience!My husband and I had a great experience with the BLT. Firstly, the tour consultant Reshani, understood our needs very quickly and made very good suggestions about the itinerary. We went from Colombo to Trincomalee, stopping at several places on the way, our guide Shan was extremely professional. He received us very well throughout the trip, providing great information and teaching us about the cities and places we visited. He was a very friendly travel companion, always polite and in a good mood. The car we used was very safe and comfortable. The hotels were very good in general. Especially Lake Lodge in Colombo. I didn't get used to camping in Yala, although we knew we were going to stay at a campsite, when we got there it was very hot, and I preferred to go to a hotel. BLT were very quickly making the arrangement and in less than an hour we had taken it to a very good hotel. Carol, the operations manager, was very attentive and checked on us every day to make sure we were enjoying the trip and that we were okay with the services. We highly recommend Blue Lanka Tours and their entire team!

Everything about Bluelanka is fantastic! Planning a trip with 3 young kids (aged 10,12 and 14) is not an easy task but the way their travel consultant catered to our ever changing wish-list was exemplary. A big thanks to Reshani!! Before the travel, Carol ensured that we are updated on the latest Covid related travel requirements. She was always available and responded within minutes! During the entire trip, Carol kept in touch with us almost on daily basis which was comforting. Icing on the cake was our tour guide Roshan (Shan) and driver - Isuru. They were always on time, very pleasant, informative and caring. Their recommendations of restaurants and sites catered to our taste. I highly recommend Blue Lanka and will surely plan my next trip to Srilanka with them.

We have just had a 16 day tour of Sri Lanka organised by Blue Lanka Tours. From the initial enquiry last year, everything has been organised incredibly professionally, and Blue Lanka went over and above to make it a stress free and incredible holiday. Reshani and Carol were both attentive to what we were looking for and nothing was too much trouble. The itinerary was perfect, we travelled from the far north to the south and everything in between! We saw historical places, beautiful beaches, mountain forests, wildlife in abundance and ate so much amazing food. The hotels were beautiful, and the experiences were perfect. They organised guides at every historical site, which really helped our understanding of the history of this amazing country. The variety of experiences was just right. Please do not be put off coming to this island by the recent news stories. Sri Lankans are lovely people, proud of their country and eager to please. The hotels and locals worked so hard to make sure that we were not impacted in any way. You will have a fantastic time. Finally a big thank you to Shan, our wonderful tour guide. What an amazing man. Helpful, kind and energetic, he told us so much about where we were going and what we were seeing along the way. His knowledge of Sri Lanka is so impressive and nothing was too much trouble. He made us laugh, bought us local food and taught us so much about Sri Lanka. He made sure that every day was a great day. Without him we wouldn’t have got so much from our trip. We will miss him. My wife and I booked a 10 day trip in the southern half of Sri Lanka, which was organized by Blue Lanka Tours and which was truly amazing. We usually travel independently but for our trip to Sri Lanka we decided to contact Blue Lanka Tours. They were very quick to answer to all our questions and to accommodate all our requests. Our main contact person were Reshani and Carol, who did a terrific job and constantly checked that our trip goes as planned. Every other day we were contacted by Carol, who wanted to make sure that everything ”was not just ok, but really really good” :) We greatly appreciated the fact that they managed to balance our schedule and to come up with an itinerary which allowed us to cover all the sites which were on our list and in the same time provided us with a fair dose of free time. Our driver-guide, Kalinga, was simply amazing! He was extremely friendly and helpful and provided us with a lot of information and details about the Sri Lankan culture. He is truly a special person whom we are happy to have met. We cannot but highly recommend travelling with Blue Lanka Tours!

We choose to book a tour of the key sights in Sri Lanka with Blue Lanka Tours and requested Prakash after my sister visited a few months before. We had high expectations after the glowing review, and they definitely didn’t disappoint! We initially emailed Reshani with the things we wanted to see and the style of accommodation we preferred and she put an itinerary together for us and included extras that we may not have known, such as a cookery class in Ella and visiting a temple in the most central point of the island. She also made us aware of the documentation we needed to complete before entering Sri Lanka which helped.Carol was also really helpful with confirming any details and called us during our trip to check everything was going well. Prakash was the best guide we could ask for! He was very knowledgeable, friendly and happy. My husband enjoyed talking about cricket with him. He was a smooth driver which helped with the windy roads. He knew lots of people over the island so we knew we were in safe hands. He gave us lots of tips, such as the best quality places to visit and key viewpoints and made us feel comfortable. I know some tourists that hire a different driver between each place so may not have as good experience as us. We were really sad when our tour came to an end as we saw Prakash as a friend. It’s one of our favourite holidays! I would highly recommend visiting Sri Lanka as it has gorgeous scenery, lots of wildlife, beautiful beaches, lovely people and delicious food! It felt great to be able to travel again and support a beautiful country after it’s been closed for so long. If you are considering visiting Sri Lanka, book Blue Lanka tours for the best experience.

I have traveled much of my life and to quite a few destinations around the planet. When I travel, I usually like to plan my own adventures rather than letting a travel agency do so for me. Needing a long overdue vacation and a break from work, I made the decision to let go of control and let somebody else create my trip for me. I took a leap of faith and decided to let Blue Lanka Tours take the lead regarding sharing their country with me. This was absolutely the right decision!! My first contact with Blue Lanka Tours was with Carol - she's pretty much the go to for anything Blue Lanka, as well as quality control for the services they offer. When I initially inquired about Blue Lanka Tours, Carol did not try to sell me anything, however, she did answer all my questions promptly and in depth. This dialogue went back and forth for dozens of emails, and she never got tired of my endless questions!! Carol provided guidance, recommendations, and personal opinions while allowing me to create my own Sri Lanka travel itinerary, something that I very much appreciated. After I committed to my travel itinerary in Sri Lanka, Carol remained present and helpful with all things Sri Lanka related such as VISA requirements, COVID-19 regulations, etc. As the time neared for my trip to Sri Lanka, Carol reached out to let me know that my guide was going to be a man name Mr. Sarath...and this is where my journey began. Sarath picked me up at the airport in Negombo at 4:30am. Personally, I would have been grouchy having to wait for someone this early in the morning, but not Sarath. He was wide awake, friendly, and prepared to start my Sri Lanka tour. Spending 12 days with a person, you get to know them quite well, and I learned a lot about Sarath who soon became more like a friend than a tour guide. Sarath is ALWAYS on time! I pride myself on being on time in order to be respectful to others, however Sarath takes timeliness to the next level: He is very organized and always on time, but he never rushed me if I was running late in the morning and is very patient if I wanted to spend more time somewhere. Being born, raised, and living his entire life in Sri Lanka, he knows his country and its history in and out, through and through. I learned so much about Sri Lanka from Sarath, and not just information related to the content of the tour. My experience with Sarath was one of visiting a friend in another country and getting the "inside" vantage point and experience that is difficult to come by if you don't know someone at the destination that you are visiting. Also, Sarath had to tolerate ME for 12 days!!! He never became impatient with my endless questions about his country and was tolerant of my personal quirks. Sarath is the blueprint of what a tour guide should be: Involved while also providing space; passionate about his country and being a representative of his country; and being flexible with the needs of his client so the tour doesn't become too regimented. Sri Lanka is a must visit destination because this country has everything: Deep rooted culture; pleasant people; really good food; amazing wildlife; history/archeology (multiple UNESCO sites); and the ocean. It is definitely a return destination country as well. I want to thank Sarath and Carol for their professionalism, enthusiasm, respect, and demeanor - all of which greatly contributed to making my Sri Lanka experience quite memorable.
