I personally have trapped cats In needand taken up to the sanctuary. Linda is absolutely amazing. The work she is doing is so beneficial for our community. I highly recommend her services and if you can donate to her. In the past, I’ve donated through Amazon shipping her cat food to help with her cause.
We showed up announced on a rainy day and the friendly staff came out and showed us all around. As imagined, the staff were sweet and caring, teaching us about the kitties they care for. There’s no doubt that these people have the biggest hearts on the island. Worth a trip and a donation to the great work they do for these animals in need.
I accidentally booked a flight to Maui instead of Lanai when we meant to see the cat sanctuary. A day before I got there and realized my mistake, Jenny came through and saved our trip. She was able to squeeze in my group of 3 and make our day. We spent the afternoon getting to know the kitties and the staff (both are amazing!!) and it was a perfect day. I cannot recommend this place enough. The experience was one of a kind and something we won't forget anytime soon.
This is one of the best first rate cat rescue centers I’ve seen, and I’ve seen a lot of of them being a vet, tech, specializing and spay and neutering coming from a huge ranch. Their knowledge of the care protection, sacred serenity out of mindfulness of these babies are evident when you first drive up there it’s well worth visiting donating adopting fostering doing anything that you can do to help out For priceless pets. I give back so much love. There’s no words that could describe the feeling you get when you drive there and see the cats tears stream down your face as they come up and hug you and if you lost a cat due to age or some unforeseeable reason, you can’t help her cry these pets Have all been saved because of the sanctuary and I know it’s difficult in our times now with a crunch on money, but even $10 goes towards something to help there so don’t feel embarrassed if you can only donate $10 or $20 but if you could just think about donating something when you visitit helps you earn your wings in life Mahalo
Stopped by to make a donation to the homeless cat sanctuary here in Haiku, Maui, as our phone calls were not returned, or we were unable to leave a message. Friendly dog, and delivery in progress, but no one answered the door...didn't feel comfortable just leaving a cash donation here in the open, so will instead donate to the Cat Sanctuary in Lanai, as we are cat lovers and support homeless and abandoned cats...support local...
Not a great experience

Loved visiting this cat rescue! So happy that these cats have somewhere safe to go to receive food, shelter, and care. Linda and her husband are doing amazing work by providing such an amazing space for these cats. All the cats seemed happy and well cared for. We really enjoyed talking to the volunteers as well, the two ladies were from France and were volunteering for a month. They seemed to really enjoy their time with cats, and were enjoying the opportunity to visit Maui. Highly recommend!
A must for all cat lovers on Maui
We were initially disappointed that it looked like there were any available appointments, but we went up anyway and wow, what an experience. This is a truly amazing place that provides a wonderful experience of interacting well fed, happy and healthy animals, while providing a wonderful service to protect native wildlife and To house cats who are also victims of the Lahaina fires. We would highly recommend this to all cat lovers. We were taken around by two passionate and delightful volunteers, both students from Paris, who are very knowledgeable about not just the mission of the facility, but the individual characteristics and personalities of the cats.We wish we could give it more than five stars.
Kurt is great and the cats are even better!!! If you get seasick or don’t want to pay for the ferry to see some feline friends this is the spot! He clearly loves the kitties and it was nice to spend an hour just petting them. We stopped by Foodlands to get treats beforehand and they were all over us. Donations are recommended to reserve your slot and they accept Venmo and we look forward to coming back whenever we visit Maui. Highly recommend!
I love what they do! Thank you so much for your hospitality and love for animals ❤️ I really enjoyed my time with this beautiful people and see closer what this means for them and all the ones who fight and love animals that need a 2nd chance and love.
I really RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE! so grateful to have the opportunity to meet Linda, her husband and the team that makes this possible with all the sacrifice that they put into this beautiful cause, please support them ! Many ways as volunteering and donations if you have the chance to go to Maui please make a short stop and you can see closer what they do for all those animals that live happy , this wonderful place!🐱❤️🩹💖
Rude caretaker manager sucked
I appreciate the surf cat ranch for giving the cats a place to pass peacefully and live out the rest of their lives. Yet the experience wasn’t very aloha considering the manager REGAN ruined our experience, she was leading our tour seemed to have no aloha spirit she was short and came off rude also witnessed her interaction with other people there for the tour and other workers like they were lesser than herself. Not sure if she too young to know how to talk to people or has no customer experience maybe the younger generation lacks that type of communication. I’m assuming she isn’t from the islands whatsoever. I hope they consider my experience as valid and find a local to lead the organization.
Sooooo amazing! Man, am I going to miss this place for sure lol. My family and I came for a vacation here in Maui & surprisingly enough I heard about this sanctuary through an add on our hotel map!! Cats are cute, I'm hella allergic but my allergies didn't even trigger that day! Also, the woman in charge is very friendly and is educational and knowledgeable about her business/the cats' personalities. She even took us to see her bull & female cow on the tour! 10/10 recommend will visit again in the future next time we are in Maui. Also, her german shepherd is cute. They have lots of space to play and roam. She has volunteers to help her out and has a medical staff for the cats too. It is free to visit, just make an appointment with her call ahead. Although it is free and nonprofit, you should donate to her venmo at the very least because all those proceeds go towards the cats and their wellbeing :) Love it! Miss the cats already lol. Who knows, maybe I'll fly to Hawaii from California just to adopt a cute kitty? lol.
The Surf Cat Ranch is awesome. People extremely friendly there, had a great tour. The care that they give to the cats is amazing and the cats themselves have tons of personality. If I lived on Maui, I would definitely be adopting a cat from this place. They deserve everyone’s support. Please be sure to call and make a reservation for a tour.
