Avoid. Sloppy workmamship, poor attitude and will come up with every dodgy excuse as to why their work isn't the issue (when newsflash, it is!) then said repairs are rushed and to a poor standard. Avoid my mistake. Spend your money engaging a proper qualified tiler rather than wasting your money here. Take the other low reviews about poor workmamship and follow up to issues seriously. They weren't there when I hired them.

Do not use this company. When Mike first did this job in 2020 I gave him a 5 star review. He seemed polite and efficient. It all seemed to be done well. I was not there watching him the whole time. We had paid him to remove the old silicone and replace it. Also to remove the grout in the shower area and re do it. Giving an old bathroom a freshen up. Especially to remove the mouldy silicone. But a few months later I noticed near the bathroom sink it was lifting up. 6 months later I found mould was growing underneath the silicone in a few places in the shower area. I should have rang Mike then and complained but it was the pandemic and with lock downs and home orders I just let it go. But really should have demanded a refund. With the pandemic and things going on life got busy. This week I decided to remove the silicone and redo it myself and found Mike never removed all the old silicone - he cut a thin layer off the old mouldy stuff we had paid him to remove and just covered it with a thin new layer which is why 6 months in it starting lifting up in a couple of spots and also mould started growing underneath. It could not stick to the old dirty silicone. Honestly what I found under his “new” silicone layer was disgusting. I spent a whole day using a Stanley knife to cut it all out and even found a pocked of old stale water between his layer and the old layer. I feel like we paid him $1100 to superficially pretend to do a job. Would not be recommending his services be warned. It might look good on the surface but he never did the job properly to start. He either needs to spend more time removing it properly. No way would we ever pay someone to only cut some off the mouldy silicone out to replace it on top with a thin layer. Like who would pay for that! It won’t last! And it didn’t! You just need to read the product data sheets to know the new silicone will never stick to old well especially if the old has mould on it. I won’t ever be hiring this guy and frankly lost trust with tradespeople who work in this shower seal industry. I now have a plumber I trust and he recommends Nico from Shower Master. I just spoke to Nico and he said this issue is one he comes across all the time in this industry and he does not do that. He even charges a bit less than Mike. So if you are looking for someone to do this job I recommend starting there. We will next time for sure.

We’re really sorry to hear about your experience. If we had been made aware of these issues at the time, we would have absolutely returned to inspect and rectify anything that wasn’t performing as expected.

Each situation can be a little different, and in some cases we do trim back stretches of existing silicone before reapplying, however care is always taken to ensure any mould is removed beforehand.

We always aim to deliver work that lasts, and on the rare occasion something doesn’t hold up, we genuinely welcome the opportunity to make it right.

We understand a lot was happening during that period, but we do wish we’d had the chance to address this for you directly.
