So I walk into this store to buy fabric. They tell me sport the cutting counter is closed. Said no problem I'll buy the whole roll don't care about cost. So I grab roll and take it to counter to pay. Guy tells me it needs a ticket to measure it. Said you got a tape let's measure it. He calls back to lady she don't answer the call. So I walk back and ask her if she could measure it so I can buy it. She states cutting counter is closed. I said I don't need it cut I just want to buy the whole roll. Granit it's 10 times the amount I need but needed to finish a project. She then states sorry sir they measure at that counter. I said surely you know how to read a tape measure and if not I'm a licensed general contractor and can help you if not. Sorry sir you will have to come back tomorrow.
All I can say is wow. It's in the name of the store "Joanne Fabrics" yet you can't buy the fabric lol. What happened to the good old days where people actually knew how to do their jobs and capable of doing more then stock or sit on their phones. I bet Joanne is rolling over in her grave right now lol
I had made an online purchase. I had my email showing that I had made the purchase. When I picked up my items, there was no receipt attached to it. I Went to take them back due to circumstances, and I had my picture of my bank draft and a picture of the text message showing that I had purchased the products there. The young kid that waited on me said he was going to put it back on the store credit because I didn’t have a receipt. I said I have the text message here showing that I purchased here. I also have my bank draft showing that I purchased and it comes back to the same amount. He got extremely upset gave me my cash back after me arguing with him and slammed the door to the register shut , which was obvious he was mad. It is not acceptable behavior to treat customers that way. I was taught the customer is always right. They really need to train your employees to be a little more public friendly.
It's hit or miss if you get a polite and civil employee. There's always an issue with dirty floors around the cutting counter and registers and stack outs in the walkways that don't leave enough room to walk by with a cart. The front entryway is filthy. It's a shame that this is what fabric and craft stores have come to. When going into a store that is supposed to "inspire" your hobby or passion it should do that and the company that owns them should support that.
Still the same. Have had better experiences in the past. Tonight some employees polite, but the woman that cut my fabric was complaining and cut my fabric crooked. You can tell the company is in a bad way, but it starts at the top and works it's way down.
