Absolute trash. They auto renewed a warranty that I didn’t even k ow we signed up for when we purchased our daughter’s laptop. A year later we get a bill for $179 in our credit card. I have spent multiple attempts trying to get it handled and canceled with rude service and one agent hanging up on me after spending 35 minutes on the phone with him. I have been trying to cx and get a refund for two plus months. Now they are telling me I’m past the 2 month cancellation for a full refund and will only give me a partial credit. I will absolutely NEVER buy anything from Best Buy or recommend Geek Squad service.
Went in to get battery replaced on iPhone 12pro. Battery has been bad for awhile and I got a gift card for Best Buy so I figured I’d use it for the battery. When I got in they started the diagnoses on my phone, whee doing it the person asked if she could show my phone to the tech. Of course since they be working on it. They looked at the camera lenses in the back of the phone and one is cracked and another is gone since it cracked a long time ago and I peeled the broken glass off. They said they can’t replace the battery as moisture would get in through the camera and they recommend a completely new phone. I asked why and they said apple’s policy says that. I walked out and called apple and told the girl on the phone what had happened and asked her and she said they don’t have any such policy and that didn’t make sense for moisture to get in through the camera, and if I wanted to spend my money to replace the battery that’s my prerogative. She said it seems like they did t want to repair it. I have an appointment set up for the Apple Store for tomorrow where they will happily take my money and fix me phone.
Takes way too long to get anything fixed. Even when you buy the protection plan, it's 90 dollars to just send it out. Then they will tell you how much to fix it which is twice as high as other places.
My computer was returned without its OS and stopped working shortly after and I have to pay the 90 again to send it back...? Terrible experience. Go anywhere else.
Dustin... what a guy, he made jokes with his coworkers about my disabled wife. His B.O. was INTENSE. I couldn’t stand near the desk for more than a few moments without having to hold back a gag. My wife took the kids to look at the new apple products because of the insensitivity and stench. When they left he made another joke to an obviously uncomfortable co worker and pointed at my wife’s wheelchair. It took all of my might to not punch dustin right then and there. He ignored me when telling him the problem with my laptop, and talked over me when asking any questions, never letting me speak. Overall would hate to encounter that man again. I would give not just geek squad, but dustin 0 stars if i could.
They don’t have anything in stock ever to help and just expect a customer to go without their phones/devices for 3-7 days. Staff was not helpful, rude, and seemed inconvenienced by any questions asked. I’ve been to this Best Buy a few times and they always find a way to screw me over or waste my time. 0/10
