It was a great tour. We had adults and children--the children were a little restless after an hour of tour; but engaged in the furniture, story of the lives of the Stanley's, and guessing what various things were. The adults thoroughly enjoyed the tour and interesting facts.

Beautiful history
Thank you, Teri, for a wonderful tour! As a part time Estes resident for 35 years, I had been inside the beautiful Stanley summer home twice before, but this was my first time with such an in depth view of the Stanleys and the home. The historical society has put great care into restoring the home to historical accuracy and Teri was extremely knowledgeable and her love for the Stanleys and their history was very evident. Would recommend for anyone who loves history and would like a more personal view of the history behind the Stanley hotel. My 7 and 9 year old daughters enjoyed the tour as well!

A wonderful tour of the house highlighting the family who gave so much to the creation of Estes Park. Our guide was so informative and answered questions of the family and their working life fully and with ease. If anyone wants to know of the history and foundation of Estes Park, this is the tour to take.

Let me tell you, Sherry our tour guide was absolutely amazing. As my family had just went to the Stanley Hotel tour a few days before, and after reading most of a book by Rebecca Pitman. Sherry gave a amazing tour and history on the house and the hotel. Each room represented the Stanley's culture and time period. It is way far better than the stanley hotel tour and provides a better historical view on who they were and how they impacted estes park!

1000/10 would do this all over! Teri did an amazing job! She was extremely knowledgeable and truly has a love for the Stanley’s. This tour is up close and personal. There aren’t any barriers holding you back from exploring the rooms and truly experiencing this home. You definitely get to know the Stanleys and appreciate their contributions to Estes Park and Colorado in general. This is a nonprofit endeavor and the people running it have a unique love for the history of the property. Go online to get tickets and don’t hesitate to go!

Unexpected lesson in history
This was a totallly unexpected visit to the area and to the museum. It’s Father’s Day and I’m away from home looking for something to do. I pull into their lot to take a call from one of my kids and get approached by someone from the museum asking me if I wanted to take a tour. At that point, having nothing really planned for the day, I say yes. It ended up being a really nice day spent learning about someone I didn’t give two thoughts about before but now glad I did. The home is beautiful in the areas that are finished and other parts are in the process of being finished. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend anyone looking for something different to check the place out if you’re into that sort of thing.

We enjoyed the short video and the tour of the Stanley Home. The tour guide was well informed. Also just seeing the views from the rooms in the Stanley Home is worth it.
