I am from the Lansing area and I recently completed a corrective program with the Lansing location that consisted of 20 visits. I came to them because I have been having major discomfort with my lower back and hips for years and I wanted to try something new. I have been to more chiropractors than I can count and have been told different things from each one. I came to ASP because when I talked with the doctor, she really made me believe she could help fix my issues. She sat down with me and laid out exactly what it would cost me. It was a lot of money, but I was ok with making the gamble and paying it because I was so tired of being in pain. Fast forward a month, I am about 8 appointments into the treatment, and I noticed something strange with the traction and the exercises I have been doing. I asked my physical therapist as to why I am doing exercises to pull my spine and neck to the right, when the traction table is pulling me in the complete opposite direction to the left? She stated it raised a good point, and that she would the doctor about it. The doctor then discovered that they have been pulling me in the incorrect direction (according to my x-rays) the whole time. I was extremely frustrated as to how that could even happen, and I was worried that what they were doing could have made my condition even worse. I asked to speak with the doctor one on one so I could explain my concerns. She was very apologetic, and explained that there was miscommunication between her and the physical therapists. I decided to let it go and continue the therapy because I still believed that they could help me. Fast forward to the end of my therapy. All 20 appointments are done, and I still am in the same amount of pain. Since the conclusion of my therapy, I have gone to see a rheumatologist who have explained to me the likelihood of having something called Ankylosing Spondylitis. I have terrible morning/evening stiffness, pain increases with sitting/inactivity and decreases with activity. I have been prescribed a medication which has been helping. All of those symptoms I explained to the workers at ASP and nobody even thought of looking into the possibility of me having this condition. I have even showed other doctors my X-rays, and they explained to me that my spine does not look anything out of the ordinary. I also thought the chiropractic work here was very subpar. It's the same thing every time (the typical neck crack and push down on the spine...then that little clicking gun that taps around on your joints). When I came to ASP, they made me believe that my issues were stemming from spine misalignment, and if I did their treatment plan they could correct my issues. However, things did not work out as expected for me. Not saying you won't have a better experience, I just thought I'd share some of the issues with mine. The people there are very nice, but I needed pain relief and unfortunately I didn't get that here.

Very tentative to my program to get the best outcome. Everyone is kind, helpful and fun! They treat you like family!

I came to Advanced spine after being permantly disabled by my doctor for over a year. I spent about 4-5 months seeing a traditional Chiropractor which reduced my pain level from a 10 plus to a 6-7. It was liveable but barely. The loss of sleep and cognitive function was not getting better. I wanted my life back or at least as much as I could get. I called Advanced spine. After my intake and acessment I was put on a regimine unlike the traditional snap crackle pop. They really care about you as a person as well as a patient. My pain is gone!!!!! I have the other half of my regimine to go. I cannot express how grateful I am. Special shout out to Amanda and the whole staff Aaron

The Doctors and staff are wonderful!! They take the time to listen to you so that you receive the best possible care. My neck pain and stiffness are gone and are maintaining my spine health.

Advanced Spine and Posture is great. Their staff is very professional, friendly and most importantly they focus really hard at getting you better. I would highly recommend them as their approach is superior to other Chiropractic Office's. They offer PT, Adjustments, Traction and Trigger Point therapy.

I have always been in some type of discomfort with my back for nearly 40 years. However in the past 6 months I have been going to Advance Spine and Posture and I am more limber, and most importantly pain free. The whole staff is amazing, you walk in and you just simply feel welcomed.

Dr. Ryan and Dr. Monica Have built a wonderful practice. Friendly,knowledgable staff assist in patient care with great detail and kindness in everything they do. I have had many life changing events through the years and they always adapted my care to personal needs and goals. In their journey to raise a healthy family they share new healthy lifestyle changes so we are more informed on how we too can improve our own health through healthier choices physically and mentally. I highly recommend this practice to anyone trying to find an alternative to pain relief beyond another pill.

I have been a patient at Total Health Spine and Nutrition for several years. The first time I received treatment for my aching back from Dr. Ryan, Dr. Monica, and Dr. Ian, I knew right away they were not your ordinary Chiropractors. They put together a treatment plan to correct my chronic back issues and strengthen my spine, rather them just providing a temporary fix. At the end of my treatments plan, I was able to workout and perform other physical activities that I wasn’t able to do prior to receiving the treatments. I am truly thankful for the Doctors and all of the staff members at Total Health Spine and Nutrition for their dedication and determination in getting me back to 100 percent! -James Carter

I have been very impressed with how professional and knowledgeable everyone is at ASP. Their friendliness makes the experience actually enjoyable!!

I first went to Advanced Spine and Posture after talking with my friend who is a PT there. I have had chronic low back pain for 25 years. My grade 2 spondylolisthesis was affecting every aspect of my life. I seen multiple chiropractors and eventually ended up at a pain clinic. I was to the point I was getting steroid pain shots every 6 months. After my initial visit at ASP Doctor Monica realized my right leg was 3/4 inch shorter than my left. My hips were always out of whack. Other Chiro’s always adjusted them but it never helped. I now have a lift and my hips are aligned. Physical therapy and traction has also improved my spondylolisthesis! My daily pain scale went from a 7-8 everyday to a 0-1 on most days! I can honestly say I feel like I’m in my 20’s again. 6 months ago I was out of options other than back surgery. Now I’m going about real life and not looking back. Thank you to Doctor Monica, Lynne, Mara, Amanda and Erica for giving me a new outlook on life!
