Sopris Lodge has been a wonderful home for my mom since it first opened in 2021. She absolutely loves the warm and welcoming community, where both residents and staff create a friendly and supportive environment. The staff members go above and beyond to ensure everyone feels cared for, and my mom enjoys the many activities available to keep her engaged and active. She also raves about the delicious, chef-prepared meals served daily! As a longtime Carbondale local, I am so grateful to have such a high-quality independent living option right here in our community. Knowing that my mom is happy, healthy, and truly feels at home at Sopris Lodge brings me great peace of mind. I highly recommend Sopris Lodge to anyone looking for a caring, vibrant, and well-run senior living community!

After a year and a half as a resident, I found management is diligent to ensure that services promised consistently meet the residents' expectations. The facilities are kept clean and other services, such as, housekeeping and maintenance are well provided. Although the current market is a challenge to hire good people, Sopris Lodge's management makes it a priority to hire excellent employees, which is evident by the current staff. The chefs are experienced and the menu is prepared by dietitians, so I get three healthy meals a day. I have rated the Sopris Lodge at Carbondale five stars without hesitation. My mother left her River Valley Ranch Condo and moved to Sopris Lodge Independent Living a few months ago. Mom was welcomed by residents and staff alike with open arms and has quickly become a part of a lively community. Mom's days are filled with friends, activities and the ease of not having to cook or shop for food. My family and I are thrilled with Mom's new chapter.

Having found ourselves increasingly “shut in” and challenged in managing a household in the upper Roaring Fork Valley, we took up residence a year ago in the Independent Living facility here and have found ourselves, in a word, “liberated” by a simplified daily routine and far greater access to church / library / post office / dining / shopping / and recreation sites — all within walking distance. To say nothing of social interaction! We’ve made many friends among the excellent staff and our fellow residents, while remaining sufficiently close to family in Aspen. My sister moved into the Lodge three months ago and loves it. The staff are outstanding; they really worked to support her in feeling welcome and are very sensitive to individual needs. The facility is beautiful, in a quiet neighborhood, close to wonderful amenities of a small town: library, theater, restaurants, healthcare, and great walking/bike path. My sister is particularly fond of the wonderful meals, and I am thrilled that she feels at home with a staff that have created a safe, supportive, and stimulating community.

The staff at Sopris Lodge is amazing! They are very caring and attentive to the residents needs. I love that everyone gets involved in the care of the residents, from the Executive director doing the dance/exercise class in Memory care and playing cello for them to the sales person helping pass meds. The facilities are beautiful, the food is great and the staff and residents are so friendly. They welcomed Dad with open arms. Marie was instrumental in helping us move Dad to Sopris Lodge. She walked us through all the options, communicated beautifully and made us (and makes us) feel like Dad's happiness and comfort is very important to the team. Very happy to have him so close to us and in such a wonderful and friendly location.

We loved the staff and facility at Sopris Lodge. The staff is excellent, well trained and always willing to help out. Sopris lodge is fabulous. New facility with lovely decor and warm inviting living spaces. The staff is excellent and delightful to interact with on any level.
