Ellen will make your skin look and feel amazing!! She is professional, caring, knowledgeable, and makes the experience comfortable and easy. She is creative (Arctic Cranberry Microdermabrasion Treatment!!) and is always adding new equipment and services to her repertoire. If you're looking for glowing skin and want an honest, experienced esthetician, then you must try Ellen at Skin Essentials.

I saw all the good reviews and decided to go there for chemical peeling of my sun/aging spots, after a week the only peeling I got was a small piece of skin on my nose, (I could've gotten that from standing in the sun for couple of hours) it was a waist of my time and money. When I told her that I did not peel you think she would've offered a complimentary do over or a discounted rate for another treatment, but I guess not. She might be good with other treatments but not chemical peeling in my opinion. I would never go back there again.

This was my first time getting a facial and Ellen made it such a pleasant experience. I did a lot of research on different places to go and after leaving this one, I know I picked the right place! Ellen is so friendly and knowledgeable. She helped me pick the right treatment for my skin and I left with my skin feeling so vibrant and beautiful. If you're looking for someone who knows what they're doing and can really help you to get your skin where you want it to be, I'd really recommend going here and seeing Ellen. The prices are great and Ellen genuinely wants to help. Im going back next week for a micro-needling treatment and I can't wait!

As i sit here beautifully shedding skin from one of Ellen's amazing peels, I thought it was time to finally update my review. Ellen is one of the most talented estheticians you will find - through the years that i have stayed with her, i can see that she is so knowledgeable on skincare and is sure to stay up to date on the newest technology/skin care break throughs. She genuinely loves her clients - from always testing out new products on herself before ever using on her clients to consistently checking in on her clients after treatment to even remembering upcoming important days you have mentioned to her and being sure to send a good luck or congratulations your way! I used to have acne scars and a very uneven skin tone on my face and was extremely self conscious about that. Ellen has changed my life as she has significantly improved my skin on a permanent level and given me back my confidence. The key is to follow the treatment plan Ellen recommends and to be consistent with it - don't worry, Ellen will always try to keep your budget in mind and she will never push anything on you that is unnecessary! Especially if you are an individual with a darker skin tone, Ellen is the person to go to. I initially had wanted to find an esthetician who herself came from a indian/middle eastern/african american background as I felt they would better understand my skin...but Ellen may as well be Indian as she knows exactly how to work with my skin lol! so, three years later, i maintain my stance that if you are suffering form any sort of skin troubles or even just want to begin anti-aging prevention, Ellen is so worth going to :)

Ellen is a very knowledgeable professional with very modern technologies in hand. She is very consistent on reading my skin and developing just the treatment for that day. Whether the focus is acne scars, aging, dryness, I always leave with much improved skin texture. The quality of my skin has improved dramatically since seeing Ellen, she is the best professional in the area in my experience.

I can not say enough about Ellen! She is an amazing esthetician!! I love how she looks at my skin each visit and treats it w/ what it needs at the time! She does it all- Micro-dermabrasion, peels, collagen treatments, acne treatments, eye brow/lash tinting, waxing... I love how she is constantly educating herself on skin and what the most effective treatments are for various skin issues. I know I am in safe & educated hands!! I have had several facials over the years, but Ellen is definitely the BEST. I have been continually using her as my esthetician for the past 7 years now and I could not imagine going anywhere else. Not only is she extremely professional, but she is one of the most genuine people I have ever met. I never feel like she is over-charging me (she is very reasonable in her pricing, especially considering how good she is). A 5 start rating is not enough. She is so friendly, relaxed, and very flexible with her schedule. I am very lucky to have found her. She is hands-down the best esthetician in San Diego.

Ellen is so knowlegable and professional at what she does! She keeps herself educated and up on all the newest trendsand has such a sweet personality. I had the wonerful opportunity to try out Ellen's new LED service. I guess I should also note that I am also an esthetician but only practice permanent cosemetics so I know the difference! I truly felt an improved tightness in my skin for days after the treatment. I will do a series as she recommended to acheive optimal results. I am so excitied to have someone I trust to send my clients to. I highly reccommend you try her services and see for yourself!

What can I say... Ellen is a miracle worker!! Not only is she extremely knowledgeable and skilled in her field; she identifies and costumes her treatments to fit your needs which to me that was something I have been looking for a while. Most importantly and my very favorite part she is Gem and very compassionate (I LOVE HER). I have been going to Ellen for a little over a month and my skin looks a million times better, I had very bad acne scars, sun damage and uneven skin, although we have a way to go... every time I see my friends now they always compliment my skin. I recently turned 59 and needed some rejuvenation, so I came in for a microdermabrasion and to get the latest of her chemical peels. It was amazing! Not only do you feel relaxed and pampered, but Ellen takes the time to explain everything she does and answer all your questions. Everyone tells me they can see a significant reduction in lines around my mouth, eyes, and on my forehead. And my skin has a younger texture and glow.
