Awful experience We walked in and a rude Indian well built man tells us he doesn’t take guests without bookings . The restaurant had many empty tables . He told us that he will accomodate us reluctantly . Bizarre . The service was shocking . I asked for an extra sauce with the papad and was rudely told we give one . I told them that I will pay for it and was charged. The food was average taste wise . Prawn was hard in the curry . Dahi puri was good . Another kinder waiter took over from the initial rude waiter . Masala tea was awful . Lacha parata dry. Soo on leaving I mentioned to the rude owner or manager that we felt that the service was bad but we credit the last waiter who was much better . He didn’t apologise or respond . Such arrogance and entitlement.

This was our first visit and we really enjoyed the food. The portions were large enough that we were able to bring home enough to have a second meal. And it was very quiet it was a very beautiful inside and the food. It was really good so if you liked Indian food at least give this place a shot.

Honestly it is average at best. I did order a lentil soup, but i wasnt a fan. I politely asked to return it, and i wish they didnt charge me for it since i took a few sips and tried to give it a chance. I also had the veggie bryani, it looked sloppy and mushy, but it was actually pretty good. Maybe 3 times is the charm.

Went for lunch for our first dining experience. We were the only ones in the restaurant. They are still putting the finishing touches on the restaurant. It is going to be very nice when they are all done. Unfortunately, we found the food to be a bit bland. We like the way Indian food is spiced at Indian Garden, and Amber is good too. Thought prices were a bit on the high side especially since the taste was not that enjoyable. Hopefully, this Indian restaurant is a top choice for many in the area as the service was very good. I should add that we ordered all vegetarian options, along with plain and garlic naan.

Not a lot of experience with Indian food but this was excellent. Had the Tandoori shrimp and it was perfect. Shrimp were huge with right amount of spice. Rice was out of this world. Wait staff was pleasant and very friendly. Place was clean and inviting. Definitely will be back!

This review should be a 3 1/2 stars… Not really a 4 and better than a 3. Food was good. The service was S L O W!! They had 2 poor souls waiting on the entire restaurant.. Prices seemed a little on the high end especially since the naan was separate. Also, I found it strange that they bring out water bottles (from Costco) to the table rather than the traditional “cup” of water. As is typical with Indian restaurants, the staff is not friendly at all.. I just don’t understand.. it’s not hard to smile and be friendly when you chose this line of work. The dude had the personality of a coffee table which is typical and something I just don’t understand. Overall, it was ok. The service was so slow that I’m not sure I’d go back.

Sitara catered for my wedding, and I can't thank them enough for their incredible customer service, authenticity, and delicious food. The chef took the time to discuss our menu for an entire week's worth of wedding events. Each event had a specific menu, and the restaurant delivered beyond our expectations. We received great compliments from all of our guests. They had also catered for my brother's wedding, and since we had a great first experience with them, we trusted them again to cater for my wedding. To the Sitara team - thanks so much for all that you did! Love your food!

This was recommended by my Indian coworker as the best Indian food in Carmel, and he was right! Very clean and beautiful atmosphere. From other reviews I see they may be short staffed though. Definitely worth a visit!

Food is great. Very reasonably priced. Often with poorly run Indian restaurants you will receive 2 different dishes with the same base sauce. Not with Sitara! Every meal is authentic.
