I had the joy of filming a Sikh ceremony performed by Freedom and Leela at The Fermenting Cellar in Toronto. As a first time working a Sikh ceremony I was truthfully quite nervous. I wanted to do a good job yet be respectful to the guests, priests and to the scriptures. Freedom and Leela were very warm and helped me get adjusted and even assisted with my headpiece. Their ceremony was so beautiful filled with joy, kindness and laughter. They really know how to create a memorable ceremony and filming it was really enjoyable. The final film turned out so well and a big part was the beautiful ceremony created by Freedom and Leela.

Right from the beginning, when we requested their services to conduct our wedding ceremony it was immediately evident how inclusive, how comfortable they made us feel and impressive they were in not just explaining the details but also not once making us have to explain ourselves, what with us having a same sex traditional Punjabi wedding. Their care and blessings for us is one of the most heartfelt things we remember about our wedding. Every little minute detail from things needed for the wedding, their communication, our first meeting to rehearse rituals was beyond perfect. Their inclusion of all our family and friends in the wedding ceremony seamlessly made it even more beautiful. The ceremony itself, the ambience they created with the music, singing, translation in English of all the hymns and passages truly touched every single person’s heart. Thanks to them, the day turned into the perfect wedding day we had always hoped for. Everyone that attended the wedding was in awe of their knowledge, the simplicity of their conveyance of spiritual concepts and overall the positivity and energy they radiate! We are incredibly grateful for their grace, support and wisdom along with their agreement to conduct the wedding- something we never ever expected would be possible . The wedding ceremony was the most beautiful ever. The guests at my Chinese - Indian wedding truly enjoyed our wedding. Not only because the wedding ceremony and was officiated in the best diction, but also the meaning of each laav was described in English, making it easier for the entire room to understand the meaning as we took our 4 laavs around the Guru Granth Sahib. Our guests came up and said that this was the most beautiful Anand Karaj they had attended. The Indian guests were touched by the explanation and said that this was the first time they had understood the meaning of the Laavs. The Sikh priest were highly organized, and professional, and took the time to know us to dedicate the ceremony to us. I would highly recommend anyone looking to getting an Anand Karaj wedding to use the services of the Sikh Priest. Dr. Freedom Singh and LeelaJi were the best officiators we could find for our Anand Karaj. My husband and I are truly grateful they could officiate our wedding ceremony.
