Below expectations and really long and tiring journey We waited for this excursion with very high expectations and were not met. Given that, we had asked for the excursion in Spanish and were placed in a group of only French, but fortunately the guide also spoke Spanish. The trip on the bus is two hours out and two hours back and the road is terrible, also along the way there is nothing to see, it seems you never arrive after you are up from 5.30. Only in one point if he is lucky enough to see crocodiles, we have not seen them and honestly the photos I see in various posts look different from what we have seen. No one helps you takes you to look for crocodiles, you are left on a bridge and if you are lucky you see them maybe from above in a non-transparent water....Maybe the day we went we were unlucky, the water in the lagoon was not so transparent and the animals saw each other but never well: a turtle peeped out, the snout of a manatee for 5 seconds, and dolphins swim without ever seeing the snout. Also there was wind and rough seas and snorkeling was cancelled but no alternative activities were provided. Basically I travel four hours to stay on the boat two and a half hours eat on the beach, stop for an hour on the beach with sargasso and leave. I would add that the organization was not the best, the boats were from six we were three my husband and the child, there were then two couples and a family of five, for this my family was divided and my husband went on the other boat, conclusion the part of the lagoon visit we did it all separate. I think that those who organize and charge a large amount of money should make sure that these things do not happen and to be able to enjoy the experience all together. In all this the guide and the captain were still very good and kind. Nothing to say about the beauty of the place that would really be a paradise, if only we could have enjoyed it more and with a less windy situation and rough seas. For this reason I do not feel like recommending this excursion for the high price compared to what it offers and the trip you have to make to get to the lagoon. If you are certain that you want to face a long and really uncomfortable car journey, first make sure of the sea and wind conditions and be able to do all the activities also make it clear that you want to be all together on the boat. Perhaps in rough and windy conditions if the lagoon does not allow you to see the animals because of the opaque water, the agency should consider not taking the excursion or postponing it, and should at least charge for snorkeling only if it is actually done. It should also ensure proper division on boats. It seemed to me that they brought together more people in order to fill the two boats without taking into account how the group was divided and that we were the only non-French ones, by the way....

Great tour (guide)! We really had a fantastic time! We sat with 9 others, all French, but our guide Sophie who told everything double for us in English. We had such a fun day because of Sophie, she was very cheerful and full of fun facts about nature and animals. She really made sure everyone had a good time. I'll give everyone Sophie if they go. The car ride was indeed bumpy but was part of the experience. You can never promise what kind of animals you will see with such a tour, but we have spotted very cool animals! Sophie also made sure we didn't scare the animals and were able to enjoy them for so long. We also saw 2x a manatee!! We enjoyed it very much and recommend it to everyone. If only for the nature you see.

Nature Inspired I really enjoyed our excursion to Sian Kaan! Milan, our guide was so passionate about the animals and the biosphere and shared a wealth of knowledge with us during our adventure. We saw coates, a dolphin, sea turtles, a manatee and so many species of birds. It was amazing!

A day to remember Sophie was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable. We saw a crocodile, dolphins, turtles and many birds. A great way to see the Sian Ka’an biosphere. It is worth noting that the track down to the boat is very bumpy and to avoid sunburn you need to cover up well.

A day at sian ka'an It was a truly great day ! Awesome experience. Our guide Dori was really passionate by the animals and give us a lot of information on sian ka'an, animals, punta allen... It's really worth it. We saw daulphin, tortle, birds...

Great people - great trip - if then with Pixan We were very intimidated at first because the tour takes so long and I get seasick very easily. Yes, the car journey is quite a challenge but it was actually well done. The break on the bridge creates some time to breathe ^^ On the boat it was mega relaxed I enjoyed it very much. We have seen everything except crocodiles but was ok for us:) During the snorkeling tour we saw two giant lobsters and a firefish. That's what impressed me the most. Regarding Sunscreen I can only advise to buy one that is suitable for the reef and to take a long shirt. The sun must not be underestimated. We found the price reasonable at least you have a guide a chauffeur, a captain and get a hot buffet :) with extra charge you also get a freshly prepared lobster. It was exhausting but definitely worth it. Thanks to Nora for the efforts, to Carlos who drove us by car to the boat and did not make me sick due to his driving skills and to the captain who explained a lot to us and drove especially again to the birds on the journey home. Recommended All great! We did the tour with Mara who was an exceptional guide telling us many details about the booking and making us enjoy ourselves very much. We saw dolphins, different types of birds, 1 lobster, fish, and several turtles from the boat. We would repeat with them

WILD LAGOON... Marine paradise Wonderful experience! The tour was complete with incredible panorama, beautiful marine nature! Dolphins and sea turtles spotted. Lots of species of birds. Lunch at Punta Allen very good; the place is a Caribbean paradise with wild and natural beach. The guide Nora talented: prepared, competent, very kind.The captain of the boat Chava really good both in driving with confidence and in helping to guide for explanations.Great bus service also available!Recommended experience, perhaps the most beautiful made in the Yucatán.

Best tour to Sian Ka’an, amazing experience Tour was amazing from the start. Our guide, Angel had so much knowledge to share with us about the biosphere of Sian Ka’an and of Mexico history. Made our tour so enjoyable and was always keen to help us and made sure everyone was having a good time. We got to see many animals, including turtles and even dolphins! Such an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend Pixan Ka’an and would 100% book with them again whenever I’m back to Mexico.

Lagoon Tour A fine trip. Just know what you’re getting into. The dirt road drive is close to 2 hours. The time on the water is awesome. Amazing guide. Lots of birds - turtles, dolphins, manatees and more.

Amazing nature! We really enjoyed seeing the dolphins, swimming, snorkelling, and the lunch. The road in and out is quite bumpy and long.

Beautiful nature experience with a good guide We enjoyed the tour. We encounter birds, dolphins, sea turtles, and a crocodile. Nora was a great guide, she provided information and explanations and helped to spot the animals. Lunch was tasty. The way to Sian Ka'an was long and rough, and the car didn't have air-conditioning, which made the travel very challenging.

Worth every penny/best way to see real Tulum My husband and I REALLY appreciated our guide, driver & boat captain. We felt really fortunate to have a guide who is SO passionate about the environment: the animals, the reef, the water, the people who live here. We learned a lot & will take that knowledge wherever we go. Gracias Melenia (did I misspell? 🥴)

Worth every penny If you’re staying on the Mayan coast and are interested in seeing some wildlife then I would highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided a high quality, memorable experience. We saw all sorts of wildlife such as dolphins and turtles whilst learning a lot about the area.What sold me on booking with them over any other company was the fact that they want to protect and respect the wildlife. It may cost more than snorkelling on akumal beach but this way you’re not harming the turtles. It just shows that you can a have a great experience without damaging the creatures and environment as you do it.

Wonderful day in Sian Ka’an with Pixan Ka’an! We had a great day with Pixan Ka’an on the full-day tour with Nadia, a native from France but fluent in Spanish & English as well with a wealth of information. It was a full day with an early pick-up at our condo then down the bumpy road to Sian Ka’an (typical for Tulum side streets but a 2-hr drive given the distance to the biosphere). There we boarded a boat to see the reserve and saw so many things (osprey, frigates, green sea turtles, dolphins, and crocodile from the van/boat & a lobster, nurse sharks & many fish while snorkeling in the warm Caribbean Sea! What a perfect day for our holiday vacation! :)
