FALLS APART EASIILY
This suitcase has only been used 4 times, 2 of which were just traveling by car and not airport handlers. Both the top and side handles started to tear on the first use and it was well under the recommended weight limit. The handles got worse on 2nd and 3rd use. On 4th use, the fabric on the top ripped from the seam. To submit a warranty service request, you have to pay to box and ship it to an authorized repair center (costly). If they deem that the repair is caused by something other than defective assembly, you again have to pay to have it shipped back to you unrepaired. Ridiculous! I will NEVER buy this crappy brand again!
Junk customer service Don't buy. You can't get parts from american tourister.
Don't buy anything from them. You can't get part for luggage less then a year old. Just junk luggage and customer service is a joke. If you spend $300 to $800 on luggage it should last but not 1 trip and broken and you can't get parts for. WTF
Avoid this brand!
American Tourister is Junk! After just two trips with it the wheels failed, and two zippers tore loose. Looking at the warranty, they will claim normal wear and tear. My friend used an Eagle Creek on the same two trips and it is still like new. American Tourister is a poor excuse for luggage.

When I bought it for a gift for my son-in-law, I really didn't look it over very good. My son-in-law found that one of the wheels does not function properly. He has been having a hard time contacting Am. Tourister to get it replaced. Not happy as this was not a cheap item and my experience with Am. Tourister in the past has been good.
I replaced it with another brand that seems to hold up much better.
It didn't last very long. A couple of trips and handling by airline employees and all the fabric was shredding around the breaded surfaces. It looked old and ragged. I replaced it with another brand that seems to hold up much better.
Disappointing
Bought this item at Target, under-loaded it (didn't even use the expandable feature, & had to remove items because I was already over airlines' 50-lb. limit)...by the time I finished the first leg of my trip (by train), the metal edges were protruding from torn plastic at the top/front of the bag. I can't imagine the conditions were particularly rigorous (there were no scratch marks near the wire that would indicate repeated friction), so I have to conclude that the material used in constructing the piece was lacking. I expected a great deal more from the brand. It's already been returned, & I'm hunting for something more durable (say, maybe, 5 WHOLE trips, instead of half of ONE trip?!)
American Tourister ilite DLX Spinner EXP29
I purchased this piece of luggage in late November for my daughter. The size was a little too large for her so I kept this and bought her a 25". I just used the luggage for the first time 2 weeks ago. When I returned I could not pull the handle out of the luggage..it doesn't appear to be busted but simply stuck in the closed position.Unfortunately for me the return policy is only into January a mere 60 days. I do not recommend you buy this product $149.00 gone in one airline trip. Now I can return it for a partial credit? I am disappointed in American Tourister and Amazon for this weak policy. American Tourister Ilite DLX 29" spinner is not an acceptable product.Returning an item of this size is beyond challenging...how do you find a carton this size?
