Another wonderful visit.
Six of our family had dinner here on a very busy Saturday night. It was as usual a delightful occasion…we have been coming for many years. I couldn’t rate this establishment highly enough. The Nepalese food is memorable, ditto the service from always friendly, welcoming and professional servers. It has proved impossible to be disappointed with a visit. A perfect place to enjoy wonderful cooking and good company. So few establishments manage to produce such a combination. Thank you to everyone at Sherpa’s Kitchen, and see you again very soon.
For the £48 we paid for two people we are still hungry and we have just left. The mains and even the side portions are so small they should be starter sizes and even the bottled water tasted like tap water. Portions much too small to justify such prices. We dont like giving poor scores but we are looking around now for another place to eat because we sre still hungry despite being almost fifty pounds down. Nice setting and good service but really poor value for money. Sorry just being honest. Very average, not good value sadly.

The very small portions and the pretty large prices by comparison left us both very disappointed and sadly we left dissatisfied which was a pity having read the reviews and travelled half way across London to eat here. Lovely setting and clean environment but we felt ripped off come the end even after the 12.5% service charge was removed. Still hungry £48 later.

Don’t be afraid to return an unsatisfactory dish
My husband booked for a meal for our 50th wedding anniversary. The booking was for 7.30pm we arrived on time but were left waiting in a crowded area for 15 minutes when we got our table we chose a starter of a tandoori mix for two , it was ok but we were disappointed that there was only one prawn in the selection, were we supposed to fight over it. However I chose a meal of minced lamb with potatoes for my main corse . When it arrived I had a bowl of potatoes with a small amount of shish kabab in sauce in the bottom. I called the waiter and he said that that was how they did lamb, so I called the manager and he basically said the same but accepted when I insisted that it wasn’t , in my opinion, what was stated in the menu ie lamb mince with potatoes not the other way round and that I didn’t want it and wasn’t going to pay for what amounted to a plate of potatoes. He did offer me an alternative but given the time differenceI wanted to eat my anniversary meal with my husband not ten minutes later. We have eaten there previous with a better experience. It is worth noting that what they describe as chapatti I would call roti.
