Firstly, I have purchased dozens of pairs of sunglasses from SR over the past 8 years. On 11/29/2024 I placed an order for 4 pairs of sunglasses from SR for Christmas presents, as I have often done in the past. I was told that SR were notified on 12/7/2024 that the shipment was damaged, but ignored the notification. Meanwhile, the tracking status said, and continues to say, that the order will be delivered by the end of the day. At 9:45PM on 12/24, when the order hadn't arrived in time for Christmas, I contacted the company about the problem. On 12/27 they responded saying they'd set up a priority reshipment ASAP. When by mid-day on 12/30 the order status had not changed, I reached out again and they said the order would go out that day. When on 1/6/2025 the status had still not been updated, I reached out again and was told it would ship within 24-48 hours. When on the morning of 1/9/2025 the status still had not been updated, I was eventually able to speak to a manager who said that the order had shipped with expedited status that day and would arrive by 1/13/2025. When I didn't receive the order by 6PM on 1/13/2025 I checked, and the label had been created, but the carrier had not yet received the package. So, I still have not received the package, and now it is supposedly going to arrive tomorrow. I am extremely frustrated by this whole experience. In my communications with SR they want to blame the carrier and weather for the 6+ week delay, but it's not true. It is very disappointing that they treat anyone like this, never mind a long time customer. I am submitting this review here because when via text I asked how I could leave a review of the company on their website, I was told I could not, but should instead submit one to the BBB, so I am. I am not expecting any actions as a result of this review, other than hoping it might help make SR treat their (especially long time) customers with more integrity. SR can do a better than this.
Very impressed with everything from shipping time and care, packaging, information with, and especially quality,clarity and petformance of the shades. Absolutelty just as good if not better than name brands multiple times the price. Very solid quality polarized with incredible, -loose them/break them/scratch them.warranty !! Great product.
I've been a loyal Shady Ray customer for nearly four years, and I can confidently say these sunglasses are top-notch. Recently, I encountered an issue with the blue tint on the lenses, and the customer service team went above and beyond. They replaced the pair at no cost and shipped it out the same day, which was an incredibly refreshing experience. It's rare to find a company that stands behind its products the way Shady Ray does. I have been a customer of Shady Rays since they were a startup company. This company is terrific, and they stand by their product with an outstanding warranty and replacement sunglasses. I have NEVER had an issue with them and have used their sunglasses for years. Cool sunglasses, great warranty, and feeding the hungry… really, what more could you ask for?!!

My sunglasses broke after less then 4 months. They are charging me $25 to replace their defective product. Furthermore, I had to go through screen after screen online where they were trying to upsell me or make me add more item to my replacement order. SHADY is an accurate word this company is shady and trys to screw their customer. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!
These guys suck. Kept getting ads on how good the glasses were and how you get replacements if you happen to lose them. Bought a pair and they were great, lost them and went to get a replacement but customer service had ignore my messages for a week straight. Will never buy again they are dishonest and shouldn’t be trusted
When I originally bought my glasses, I loved them. Less than a year into wearing them, and that's changed. The polarization as came off my glasses making them impossible to wear, and the arm broke off. I thought, no big deal, they have a lifetime warranty. Yeah right! To redeem the warranty and get your "free replacement" it costs $30. The glasses were only $52 originally, so they basically want me to purchase another pair. So I won't be ordering replacements, as I can buy Gooder glasses for $25 with the same warranty. Thanks for nothing shadyrays!!

These are reasonable quality and generally light and comfortable. My first pair, a gift, delaminated pretty quickly, but were replaced promptly. Decent polarized. Good optics. What chaps me is an online survey I received post purchase. I was eliminated immediately after answering the age group question. I'm 69, have climbed 3 14ers in the past year, kayak frequently, do vigorous work on our ranch, and the like. So KMA! Lots of good competitors available

They care if their customers are happy. I ordered a replacement set of glasses & they got lost in transit. Upon contacting them, new ones were sent out within days & received within a few more days of shipping. Very impressed as we are in Costa Rica & getting things sent here that quickly is almost never heard of!
Just a shout out . I am 52 and an avid golfer over the years I have spent thousands of dollars on Oakley. Tired of spending so this year I saw your ad on a nascar race I was watching and decided to give them a try . Well I must say I will not be spending 200 a pair no longer your glasses so far are amazing. I am gonna purchase the vapors also and I will be spreading the word in my golf leagues and my track and golf teams that I coach. Keep up the good work and don’t raise prices. Bought a pair of classic blackout shades for $70 whole dollars. I purchased them in 2023. Unfortunately, I lost this them this last week river tubing. I try to order a replacement and I constantly get an error please try later.....the one time I got past it I got a not in stock message even though you're currently STILL selling them? I've called, texted and emailed and haven't gotten a response.

I ordered a pair of sunglasses, and when they arrived, the box and glasses were both damaged. I reached out to customer support, and with a quick response (under an hour of my first email) the customer service had a new pair on the way to replace the pair that arrived damaged. I was genuinely surprised at how fast the customer support responses took place.
Busted
These broke when I took them off and placed them on top my head over my hat brim. Granted.....these were the free mystery pair they sent me with my first order. But...this isn't great. And the free mystery pairs aren't eligible for replacement.I did kinda like them. They were comfortable enough and fit well. Nothing special though. Just a slight step above a cheap pair of gas station sunglasses.Shady Ray's are simply not comparable to high-end glasses. But gotta hand it to them....those guys are marketing wizards. They definitely got me.
Purchased Shady Rays React R sunglasses with blackout lens in early 2023 and lost them in June 2024 and went to get a replacement per their warranty. They charged me $12.87 for shipping and sent me a pair of cheesy sunglasses as a replacement. When I inquired about this they stated the warranty which covers lost or damaged products wasn't valid for the sunglasses I purchased (their high end). Their products seem to be Chinese made and they apparently don't honor their warranty. Do not recommend and will not ever purchase from them again. Their name says it all .... "Shady" Rays
