Run away — waste of money, time, and peace of mind
I honestly wish I could give zero stars. I would strongly advise against choosing SEV simply because it’s cheaper than other providers.
After 13 laser hair removal sessions, my underarm hair is still present, which is extremely disappointing given the time and money invested.
The very first session, I specifically reminded the front desk not to use the Candela laser on my legs. After the session ended, I realized that Candela had been used anyway.... I was in shock and disbelief!!! by how little attention was paid to me as a client.
My experience was very stressful due to ongoing mismanagement. The front desk made a clear scheduling error and booked me for an additional session while telling me it was included in my package. As a result, I took time off work, traveled to the center, and was charged $100 for a mistake that was not mine. Despite multiple follow-ups, I was never refunded for this error.
To make matters worse, I later obtained a doctor’s letter advising me to stop laser hair removal with SEV, yet more than a month has passed and I am still trying to get my money back, despite emailing several times. I have attached a photo showing that I contacted SEV again 9 days ago and have yet to receive a response.
Overall, the front desk repeatedly failed to properly track sessions or communicate accurately. I recommend spending more at a professional, well-organized center. It may cost more upfront, but you’re far more likely to get results—and avoid unnecessary stress and headache.
I’ve been going to SEV for a few months and have had few appointments. The techs themselves are great, but the customer service and lack of accountability are horrible, and I’ve now taken my business elsewhere. Yesterday at 6:17 PM, I received a text asking if I could come in earlier. I said no because I work in healthcare and my schedule is based on the patients I’m responsible for. Then today after 10 AM I received another text stating my appointment was cancelled because the machines weren’t working. I found that strange considering they were just trying to reschedule me yesterday for the appt for Friday if machines isn’t working how are you scheduling appts. This is not the first time this has happened. My previous appointment was cancelled the day of for the exact same reason. It’s inconsiderate to clients who have to schedule time off or plan around appointments. If we cancel late or arrive outside the 48-hour window, we get charged but when they cancel last-minute, clients receive no discount, no accommodation, nothing. I will no longer support this business. After reading more reviews, I see I’m not alone communication and customer service are no longer a priority here. I have decided to go to another company that is close by to support them as soon as I got this cancellation I promptly reached out to an a company and they was able to accommodate me.

I went to SEV for laser hair removal on my neck and quickly realized I hadn’t followed the pre-appointment instructions, which would normally have required rescheduling. Carla stepped in immediately, found a razor, and made sure I was still able to receive treatment that day. I shared how excited I was to start the process, and she genuinely went above and beyond so I wouldn’t have to leave untreated. That level of care does not go unnoticed.
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by two outstanding receptionists/schedulers. They were responsive, flexible, and communicated with me via text since I was in meetings and unable to take calls, ensuring everything was confirmed seamlessly. The service model, communication, and overall experience were excellent. This is how loyalty is built. I will absolutely be back.
Diana at the front desk helped me today and Adrienne was the service provider. I have been coming here since 2019 and the service is always excellent! As an African-American woman, finding a Laser Hair removal provider that has the machines for our skin is imperative! Today Diana and Adrianne provided me with excellent service! They were both courteous and efficient and I will continue to be a customer of this business!!
This is terrible laser place ever , I asked off day especially for the appointment, when I got here she told that I didn’t have appointments!!! The front desk rescheduled 1 hours later , when I got there, she said you need to FaceTime first , when I clicked the link, didn’t go through, she said you need to reschedule!!
I asked off today with my time , I told her is any other way we go through this , than other customers coming , she tell me move !!
I don’t understand what is front desk for , is you are not sure , why tell me come back later
Ashley is extremely patient and good at what she does. I’ve had noticeable results On my face by the second session. I trust her with my skin!!! Ashley is the best!

Horrible customer service. I’ve booked her many times in the past for laser, I’ve never had this horrible of experience with booking and communication. I booked over 3 weeks in advanced. I had an automated text confirming all my information the day prior, I’ve waited to over a month for this appointment to then say if I don’t have an exact date for the last time I plucked my hair then they would need to cancel. Mind you this is 24 hrs prior to an appointment I’ve had booked for over 3 weeks, have let my hair grow for over a month now, and the office had all this info in their system dec 1. Extremely unprofessional. I called to speak to the office and was told they were in lunch at 2:20pm. I called back and spoke to someone in office and said they get back to me. I explained what had occurred and he called my a few hours later saying we need an exact date for when I last plucked. I never went through this process before when I was there, I never had these questions asked, or had this issue any time I came in. Needless to say unprofessional, not courteous, and I do not believe they did a good job on my previous laser treatments. I thought I’d Give them another try since I’ve had laser done here before. I would not recommend.
Incredibly frustrated. One hour before my appointment, the front desk texted me to come in early to fill out new forms (I’ve attended 5 appointments already). I told them that wasn’t possible on such a late notice, and to please email me the forms so I can complete them online. Still no answer, and my appointment is in 30 minutes. I already took half the day off from work so that I can go to the appointment in South Bay. I work on the peninsula. So inconsiderate. I told them we need to reschedule, and no I will not be paying the cancelation fee because this was not on me. It would be 4 stars if not for this. Seriously, they don’t respond to texts or pick up the phone when I call. What gives?
got a package for laser hair removal on my mustache area. during the first session, the girl was pretty thorough and I spent around 10 minutes in the room. however, for the next few sessions, the girls seemed to care less and just wanted to get people in and out faster so they would do a few zaps while missing spots and I would be out of there in a minute. after abt 3 sessions I noticed no change at all so I asked one of the workers and she said the mustache area usually doesn’t fully go away ever…but i haven’t even had any noticeable difference in hair growth even after multiple sessions. anyways i stopped going there and went somewhere else that actually made a difference in hair growth after 1 session.

I’ve had mixed experiences with SEV Laser. On the positive side, the facility is clean, and one of their technicians is thorough and professional. However, I’m giving them two stars because of their rigid policies. I purchased a Groupon and wanted to switch the treatment area from bikini to underarm, both of which are the same size. Unfortunately, they refused, citing a Groupon policy, which I find unreasonable. It’s frustrating that they’re not flexible when it comes to the treatment area, especially when the size is the same.
Additionally, they’re quite strict about the areas they treat. For example, the bikini line at other places includes the top panty line, but SEV Laser won’t treat that area. They also won’t handle small sections of hair that fall just outside their designated zones, which seems unreasonable. It feels like they nickel-and-dime you for every little detail.
Overall, while SEV Laser has potential, their inflexibility and stinginess with treatment areas definitely impacted my experience.

As stated clearly on the Groupon site, treatment areas cannot be altered, and we must remain consistent across all clients to ensure safety and proper documentation. Regarding treatment areas, the “happy trail” is generally defined as below the belly button, which is standard across most medispas. Treating above that area would fall under a different zone, such as the full abdomen. All areas treated must be properly recorded for safety and ethical reasons, so we cannot provide free treatments outside of the properly scheduled areas. Horrible parking and no validations or designated areas. The place was like a zoo, I felt like the providers were so nice but totally overworked/overbooked. I don’t feel pricing was transparent or fair. It said online free consultation so I bought a package and scheduled the free consultation. I told them before the appointment that it stated online it was free and that I bought a package therefore didn’t owe a consultation fee. They called a woman named Priscilla who did not honor what was on the website and instead charged me the 50 dollars and stated I could use some of it for a one time laser on my happy trail (34 dollars). When I went to do the happy trail which I’ve done previously. I was told the happy trail at sev is below the belly button. Unfortunately I had already shaved the trail above and below my bellow button and they wouldn’t do it. They are stingy about what they offer for laser. The places I went to in years past had such a good attitude and worked with the customers which is how it should be when you are paying so much money for a service and especially when laser can cause damage to your skin. Additionally they are not flexible with refunds if your skin can’t tolerate the laser or if your doctor recommends not doing it or if something simply comes up. Additionally I requested to have the same person do my laser each time because I have sensitive skin and in the past this is what my doctor recommended and it was safer for me, the front desk told me this would be hard to do

I’m currently expecting and I have 3 sessions left with my package. I was told since I am pregnant at the moment I am unable to get laser hair removal which is completely understandable. I was advised to email my location which is the location in Philadelphia about holding my 3 sessions that I have left. I have yet to get a response. I also wrote a follow up email and still no luck, it’s been almost 2 months with no reply. I’ve called the location back and now no one has an answer for me. This is crazy and so unprofessional as well as unnecessary stress given my current situation. I just want an answer.
Beware - manager customer service and professionality is seriously lacking.
Both my partners had large visit count laser packages here. We've had scheduling difficulties and the management has been less than helpful.
We once shifted an appointment due to unforeseen availability. The scheduling staff did not review any appointment considerations with us. After the call ended we realized that the lasering area was not shaved the night before and therefore not prepared for lasering (skin is very sensitive and subject to razer burn/bumps). We called back asking to reschedule WITHIN TWENTY MINUTES and were informed that this would result IN A FEE. Holding a reservation spot for 2 hours from the current time is somehow going to result in a fee, as if we had held this spot from some other customer and would somehow be costing the business lost revenue?? Admittedly, we made a mistake with not being entirely prepared for the appointment scheduling - ownership is taken there, of course. Blanket application of such a policy is silly nonetheless.
Anyway, I have some interactions with the manager Shaina who apparently does not care much about maintaining good relationships with existing customers who have and are willing to purchase expensive service packages. Shaina, decides to reprimand me via email and make sure I know we won't be getting any fee waivers in the future while telling me that the scheduling agent made a mistake and the fee for this issue will be waived.
45 days later, my partners account is blocked and we owe a fee? What a wild ride for a customer spending nearly $1,000 at a "luxury" business
