Seven Sisters is a lovely inn--charming rooms and a wealth of treasures that Richard has collected. We loved how the decor in our room (Cairo) was so Egyptian! It was also very well situated. Close to the main road through town, so easy to get everywhere. Also walkable to downtown and many restaurants. We are big walkers, and so we enjoyed an early morning stroll up the back streets to see all the gorgeous homes.Things not to miss: Silver River State Park. A great kayak trail through the pristine springs, and in winter a wonderful place to see manatees, not to mention the colony of monkeys that inhabit the surroundings. Also the World Equestrian Center is fun if you like horse shows and dressage. Good restaurants in walking distance were Harry's and Ivy, plus the Diner on the Square for breakfast. New to town on Rt 27, only a 10 minute drive, is Prime Tavern. We had a great dinner there, and a nice change from the southern cuisine of the downtown restaurants
I loved my stay at Richard’s place. My host, Richard met me the moment I arrived. He was so friendly and wanted to make sure I felt comfortable with everything. My room was the Beijing Suite. It was amazing, clean and very comfortable. I will definitely come back to this special and peaceful place. Thank you Richard!!
This is a great place to stay in downtown Ocala! I stayed in the Paris room but got to peek inside all of the other rooms as well and they each have a unique character and are thoughtfully put together. Richard was very welcoming and accommodating. The bed was comfortable and the room had nice touches like warm lighting and dimmer switches. The common living room is nice and comfortable as well.
Richard’s place was PERFECT for our long weekend in Ocala! The property is absolutely gorgeous with the most eclectic decor! Despite the home being over 130 years old, the interior rooms were upgraded very nicely while maintaining the unique charm. The extra touches were especially kind for an Airbnb—toiletries, coffees with creamers, board games, mints and chocolates placed for an effortless pickup. It was all very much appreciated! We may or may not have met the property ghosts… but we survived! And will be back the next time we’re in Ocala!
The accommodation was very cute and very clean, the location was good, but we also have some negative points:- one time we couldn't get back into the accommodation because the code to open the door didn't work anymore. We had to wait in the car until it's solved. Richard answered as fast as possible but we were lucky that we didn't have anything planned afterward. it took around 1 hour. - it's called bed&breakfast, but there was no breakfast. Richard told us it's no where mentioned that they serve breakfast so it's OK. But I feel like you shouldn't call your accommodation bed&breakfast if you don't serve breakfast. Anyway, we had a great time and had a good stay.
This inn was the perfect place to stay in the area. The interior is indescribably beautiful with the most unique furniture and art you’ve seen. Our room in particular was gorgeous, the bathroom was amazing. It’s in a great area of town. And the bed was super comfy. I would recommend this place for sure.
