Not as expected I went to see Dr. Satterfield for a second opinion regarding my eye closure issue after surgery. I had read many positive reviews, which is why I made the appointment, but my experience was very disappointing. Her exam felt superficial—she only used a flashlight and a camera, and asked me to squeeze my eyes tightly and raise my eyebrows. I actually had to tell her to check my dermatitis because my other oculoplastic surgeon had diagnosed it; she didn’t even think to examine it herself. She also didn’t check my cornea or ensure my eye health in any meaningful way. By contrast, the other oculoplastic surgeon I saw used all the proper equipment, including magnifying tools and eye drops, and performed a thorough, careful exam. Dr. Satterfield wanted me to come back in 4 weeks, but I will not be returning. I expected much more from someone with her reputation. On top of this, her staff provided misleading information. They told me—and another patient in the waiting area—that the $150 consultation fee could be applied toward any products or procedures. This is false and misleading, and I’m not sure if it’s a tactic they use to attract patients.

Exceptional Surgeon I am 10 days post-op for an upper blepharoplasty and an internal brow pexy performed by Dr. Satterfield and would highly recommend her and the whole SD Eye and Face team! Many family members have had blepharoplastys over the years and (due to genetics) I knew it was only a matter of time for me. I had consultations with the only three surgeons in San Diego that specialize in oculoplastics and was most impressed with Dr. Satterfield. She was the only one who spoke to me about my specific needs based on my facial structure and anatomy — other doctors just gave an overview of the procedure (which I could find online). She is thorough, kind and great at what she does. Dr. Satterfield is very up to date on the most recent research and even gave me her personal cell so I could contact her with any questions post-op. I am SO excited about my results (I have eye lids!) and the care I received before, during and after the procedure. Shout out to Jess and Logan who also made my experience great.

Absolutely PERFECT!! Dr. Satterfield did an AMAZING job on my husband’s eyelids. When we had concerns, at 8:00 pm on the Friday night of Memorial Weekend, she got back to me in 5 minutes! I would like to share my experience with Dr. Kellie Satterfield on 2/16/23. I went in to have her check out two lumps on my eyelids, we talked about what they might be and I was thinking I’d have to come back for the surgery, well no I didn’t she did the procedure right there, same day. Kellie did such a wonderful job, took her time with me telling me everything she was doing and making sure I was comfortable through the procedure. Dr. Satterfields assistant was also very nice and making sure I was comfortable. They both made me feel at home. I will definitely be back for any further procedures and refer anyone who needs an amazing, caring and Professional Doctor. I would give her a 10 rating if they had one.
