Ball head disappointing, tripod excellent
I purchased the alpha pro tripod and duel tension ball head . When first got it thought this thing was perfect extremely sturdy and panning left to right was really smooth just a little stiff. But took it out and noticed when panning it was catching and causing a jerking when trying to stay on target. Got in contact with Travis sent it in and explained it but claimed he couldn’t get it to replicate what I was describing. To be fair my setup probably weighs 10lb or more never weighed jt. He was using a plastc butt stock that weighed maybe a lb. he sent a supposed new ball head anyway and this one was worse than the first one. This time catching on left to right panning and the guid the ball head sets in was moving and sliding around instead of the ball head moving around in it. You would think they would have personally checked the new one they were sending. But something caught me before he mentioned sending new one, he said they had one on store for demo and everyone played with. I’m wondering if I got sent that wore out thing for replacement. Anyway I wouldn’t purchase their ball head but tripod is top tier and Travis did try resolve the issue but sadly couldn’t cause I really like the tripod. He just wanted to refund and return entire item that took me almost 10 days to get my money refunded.
