Our experience with Rye Custom Homes was excellent from start to finish! Phillip and his crew were all fantastic to work with. Phillip was very professional, thorough, informative, and easy to communicate with. His work was completed in a timely manner with excellent craftsmanship. We appreciated his focus on energy efficiency as well.
We spoke with Phillip regarding plans to build our new house. Our first impressions were that he's very professional, knowledgeable, and personable. He absolutely knows his stuff, and can explain things in a way that a first time builder can understand. His previous builds reflect quality and beautiful use of elemental materials, which is exactly what we were looking for. Not to mention his focus on being energy efficient, which is a plus for us. Where to begin? In 2017, my wife had this crazy idea to buy a house. Over the course of almost a year, after soooo many houses, we just couldn’t settle on a house. There was always something we either didn’t like or one person didn’t like but the other person don’t mind. Always something. Well we gave up buying a house and decided to build a house. Phillip was recommended to us by a friend. We had a meeting with Phillip and I liked him. I like the way he builds. I like the way he presented himself. I like his attitude. Now, I’m not one to impulse buy. I like to look at my options. So I interviewed 3 other builders and checked out their homes. And I still went back to Phillip. During this process, my wife had her face buried in her phone looking at Pinterest. There’s always some feature of a house that made that house unique or gave it a statement. Well my wife had compiled a list of pictures and she wanted all of it. Phillip made it happen. He will take want you want, and get it to work. I can’t say I’m easy to work with, but I can say that about Phillip. We have been living in our home for 2 years now, and I’m still satisfied. Thanks Phillip!
Phillip helped us design and build our dream home. It was our first time to build and not only did he help us understand the process, but also to stay on budget. His vendors that guide you through picking out the details of your home we’re top notch and assisted us with every decision. We enjoyed working with all of them. We absolutely love our modern farmhouse and could not be happier with the energy efficiency. Our utility bills are lower than we thought possible. We now consider Phillip not only our builder but also our friend.
We built our home with Rye Custom Homes after talking to several other builders. Phillip presented us with a plan which met our needs as well as fit within our design ideas and budget. The process was actually quite painless as compared to some of the other stories we've heard about building your own home Phillip made sure we were comfortable with all the steps as we progressed thru and he was very responsive to our questions and concerns. We ended up with our dream home and couldn't be happier with the finishes and design.

He was very easy to work and communicate with, even though we live in a different state - through all SIX revisions (we have a lot of ideas :) ). We are 100% excited about our custom floor plan and cant' wait to get start on construction!
Phillip did a great job helping me with the design of my new home, from the concept phase thru completion. I found him while doing a web search for new home builders and other resources. Even though he lives 2 time zones away, the communication was effective and produced a result I can't wait to build . He was receptive to changes and tweaks throughout the process. Overall very happy!

We dreamed of building a home and saved for it for over ten years, so to say our expectations were high is probably an understatement. We came across Phillip because he owned the lot that we wanted and the realtor in the community we were building highly recommended him. Everyone says building a house is stressful, and it is, but Phillip was professional and very responsive and dependable from beginning to end!
I am a stay at home Mom and during the process I was toting around a two year old while very pregnant with our second child - talk about stressful! However, I always felt very comfortable on the construction site and Phillip's sub-contractors were so professional and sweet to our little boy (who fancies himself a construction worker). This meant a lot to me because it was one less thing I had to be stressed about and I loved being able to drive our son by the house (daily) so he could see the progress and play at the lot with his construction toys.
From the beginning, we liked that Phillip was professional but also put his family first. We strive to do the same and it was nice to work with someone who shared our same values. We also feel like we've gained a friend in the process and so many people will tell you that you will never want talk to your builder again after the completion of your home. I can't see that happening with us!
If you're going to build a house, I can't recommend Phillip enough. From the floor plan to the execution of getting our home built, we knew we were in good hands. Our home is very energy-efficient, custom to our likes and tastes, and has a few little extras that Phillip took it upon himself to give us to make our house a home!!
