Rucola has steadily become one of my favorite local standbys for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I love that they’re open early every day and take a lot of my breakfast meetings there. The food is always great. I love all of the sandwiches, the fusilli pasta, and the sides. And they make a pretty good iced latte for the mornings too.
In these days of TikTokery it’s rarer and rarer to find a quality restaurant where you can find a table 9 times out of 10, and where you’re likely to run into a neighbor or familiar face every time. 5 stars for Rucola.
A wonderful place that I highly recommend with my eyes closed. The atmosphere is very pleasant, the service is attentive, and the food is excellent. In New York, it’s hard to find places of this quality at such reasonable prices. We went there twice during our stay because we loved it so much. Congratulations to the whole team!
If you’ve got a dog and this isn’t on your list… we need to talk. 🐾🍽️
Rucola is a great spot for dog-friendly outdoor dining in Boerum Hill. I was immediately taken care of—the staff are genuinely nice and attentive (they even brought me a water bowl without asking). Cozy, relaxed setup and perfect if you’re out with your human.
My human ordered the smoked salmon (everything bagel, capers, red onion, cream cheese, dill)… I secured a side of bacon. As expected. 🐾
This is a wonderful restaurant...warm atmosphere and style with warm, professional staff and fresh, creative food. The salads are bright and delicious just a few quality ingredients magically combined. The pasta dishes are always a tasty choice . During a difficult personal tragedy they were quietly supportive. This will always be one of my favorites and I will tell everyone!!!!
Have been looking forward to try this restaurant, but overall small portion, overpriced and underwhelming, despite the great vibe.
Bread, branzino crudo and the special pesto pasta are great. The risotto texture and flavor was off, 4 small pieces of duck is $37. Very busy and took long time to get a hold of the server.
As I walked in no one greeted me even though I was staring right at the people who worked there. I approached them walking towards them , no hello nothing, just a stare, not friendly at all…I would have walked away if it wasn’t for family who drove from far away.
Food was good. Pasta done perfectly, chicken was tasty and duck was good as well. But not coming back there for sure as the atmosphere is snobbish and weird. Not a friendly place at all. Staff is very neurotic and very tense.
