Haifa and Ruba are absolutely stellar agents. In 4 years we had 2 buy-side and 2 sell-side transactions with them and we loved every single experience. They have very deep knowledge of the San Mateo County market and a stellar reputation amongst other agents. Whenever we talk with other agents at open houses, they all seem to already know Haifa and Ruba. They are very responsive and answer phone calls and emails promptly. Haifa and Ruba really went above and beyond our expectations. In particular, one of the properties we sold was under HOA litigation and it was had seemed impossible find a lender who would accommodate financing for the buyer. However, Haifa and Ruba called every bank large and small in the area until they found a lender who would do the transaction and, to our relief, the close of escrow went smoothly. They're so considerate that they treat us like family and will very honestly tell you if a property is not right for you or if there are any issues with the property because they actually read through all of the disclosures and highlight the key points. They have also given terrific recommendation for contractors for repairs and renovations. In all, we could not imagine knowing better realtors to work with. She read through many disclosures with a fine toothed comb, and let us know her honest thoughts. We’ve heard that some agents refuse to give their honest estimations of a house’s value or assess issues in the disclosures. Haifa does both, and is conservative in the best way possible. She actually convinced us not to bid on a house due to the disclosures, which made us feel like she put our needs first.
She has an eye for detail and has worked in the San Carlos/Belmont region of many years. She has personal relationships with many homeowners and as well as other real estate agents. It seemed she knew everyone as we visited different open houses!
Even after the house sale completed, she has been immensely helpful in recommending services like contractors, gardeners, electricians, etc. We still contact her with questions, and she gets back to us right away.

My fiance and I have been looking for a house for the past EIGHT months. We are first time home buyers so we didn't really know what to look for in an agent. We spent the first six and a half months with a very nice, but totally mediocre agent. After losing yet another great property to her passivity, we decided to bring in the big guns. We solicited recommendations from everyone we know, and lo and behold - we found ourselves at Haifa's doorstep.
Days after engaging Haifa, we found our dream home. The issue is -- there were already two other offers (one all cash) on the property, and the offer deadline was in two days. I cannot describe the lengths that Haifa went to to get us in to see the property (the sellers agent was actively trying to sabotage us, because she wanted her buyer to go with the all cash offer) and the extent to which she went above and beyond to guide us through the process.
To our shock -- OUR OFFER WAS ACCEPTED! It was all Haifa. Seriously, she worked magic to make this happen. Throughout the whole escrow process she's been an incredible, patient and insanely knowledgable guide. Her guidance has taken so much stress out of the process.
I cannot recommend Haifa enough. I actually just feel bad for people that don't use her. When Haifa's your agent -- you have a true competitive edge. Plus, she's a total sweetheart and a real pleasure to work with. I mean, I love her. Do yourself a favor and give her a call.
