However, we’re very sorry to hear the bike rental did not meet your expectations and impacted your overall experience.

While we don’t supply the bikes directly, we partner exclusively with reputable local rental providers who stock trusted brands. For our Portugal Atlantic Coast Gentle tours, the standard Touring-class bikes are typically either the Trek FX2 or the Kross Trans 5.0—both well-regarded hybrid models with a retail value around €700 and chosen specifically for the terrain and pace of this itinerary.

We take equipment standards seriously and maintain a 24/7 support line to resolve any issues during the tour. Had we been made aware of your concerns at the time—either at pick-up or after the first ride—we would have acted promptly to provide a replacement better aligned with your expectations.

We regret that this aspect detracted from your trip, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention so we can follow up with our rental partner.

To say the challenge you put before yourself was tough, would be an understatement. 280km on inline skates with some challenging weather conditions, truly inspiring. Hopefully we'll have new routes in 2025 that can get the roller blades rolling once again.
