A FIVE-STAR stop during every visit to see the grand kids in Columbia, MD. The food is great, good beverages, eat inside, outside, or to go. Our favorite dishes are Roggenart's Signature Sandwich, consisting of bacon, egg, cheese, and avocado on a croissant; and the One of A Kind Roast Beef sandwich with roast beef (of course), cheddar cheese, sauteed onions, mushrooms, red peppers, homemade aioli sauce on sourdough bread. Great baked goods, too! Convenient access from all locations in Columbia.

The food and drinks are honestly pretty good, but the wait times are utterly ridiculous. Expect to wait 30 minutes for a simple egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. I have waited over an hour twice for an omelette with toast. Only go here if you’re willing to waste half of your morning. If you walk in and the line is near the door, do yourself a favor and leave.

I love this place. Let me be clear. The food is delicious and the service has always been amazing. I love to sit, read, enjoy a cup of coffee and occasionally get some work done. The chicken avocado sandwich is a favorite, but their almond croissants are simply perfect. The reason for the 4-star review is simply a matter of presentation, which lead to continued frustration on my most recent visit. The photo will show that the checkered paper under my sandwich simply fell apart while eating. The heat from the food and the need to use a knife just tore the paper to shreds. I found bits of paper in nearly every bite. I get the desire to make it look pleasant, but I would've preferred to just have it on the plate. It feels petty to give such a great place 1 less star for this, but it really took away from the whole experience.

I came here for the viral cookie +croissant and it was delicious. Definitely the perfect buy for a sweets lover. Also got a bonus almond croissant which was equally tasty. Although I didn't dine in, the space was quite cozy. I was surprised how late it was open for a cafe, and they didn't mind reheating my croissants for me.

The customer service is terrible. They are rude and lack basic customer service skills. They also put raw cookie dough in the crookies which is supposed to be cooked. I called the manager and explained the dangers of this and she was extremely rude and dismissive. She said it was cooked without even seeing it. The dough was literally wet. What a shame because some of the other food is good. They need to get new employees with better attitudes and better food safety training, and this place would have potential.
