Even Better Than Expected – A Beach Retreat to Remember
We had a wonderful stay at Infinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The resort was beautiful—peaceful surroundings, stunning ocean views, and a clean, comfortable room that made us feel right at home. The beach was absolutely perfect for swimming and soaking up the sun. Even though the restaurant service was slightly reduced during our stay, the quality and care were still outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of, and every meal we had was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. It’s clear they’re committed to maintaining a high standard, even with limited operations. The overall service throughout the resort was excellent—friendly, attentive, and always with a smile. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene and memorable beach getaway!
Worst experience I’ve had
I am writing this review while waiting in line for check-out, and I feel it’s important to share my experience so others can make an informed choice. While the restaurant by the beach attached to the hotel was the only positive aspect—staff there were polite, and the no-outside-alcohol policy is completely reasonable—the rest of the resort falls far short of even basic expectations. From the front desk to the cleaning staff (if you can even call them that) and everyone in between, the lack of customer service is noticeable. Guests are made to feel unwelcome, uncomfortable, and are hit with unnecessary fees at every turn. The shuttles are inconsistent, and after a discussion with the manager about it, staff sent what they called “cleaners” to my room—a woman accompanied by a man not in uniform—who entered without asking and began taking photos of the entire room under the pretense that our phone wasn’t working. We never complained about a phone, nor even knew one was there. This felt invasive and unprofessional. While this resort may look nice online, the reality of the experience left a lot to be desired. If you’re visiting the area, there are other options that offer a better balance of service, value, and professionalism. I would recommend looking at the Kimpton or Henry Morgan resorts—they are often more affordable and consistently provide the level of hospitality you would expect on vacation.
Loved our stay at the beautiful Infinity Bay. This was our 4th stay there.
I totally enjoyed my stay at Infinity Bay Resort in Roatan. The staff were very helpful, kind, considerate, & went out of their way to make our stay perfect. My husband & I traveled with 2 other couples, we stayed in a 3 bedroom condo on the beach. It was very well thought out with the layout. The kitchen, bedrooms, & bathrooms were very beautiful. We did adventure off property for a few meals, the best dinner we had was at The Argentinian Grill. The steak was delicious, & well prepared. There were vegetarian choices also. The waiter was very helpful, & quick to provide what we requested. One place that we went to that we were disappointed with was Kristys. We were not well greeted by the hostess, she was very condescending. She seemed upset that we did not have a reservation, even though there were open tables. She ended up being our waitress also, making us very uncomfortable, and she was also the manager. The food was very good, so if you go there make sure that you make a reservation.
Puerto Ricans loving Honduras
The facility is beautiful, clean, grounds are well maintained. The staffing are bilingual and very professional and attentive. During our stay we had the pleasure of being hosted by Clara, Keiven, Oscar one of the waiter at breakfast Berkley or something along that line. (Sorry I cant remember the name) Food was great. I loved that it was buffet style but they served it, not having that cross contamination from hands to hands. Omelet station and a view that would brighten up your day. The bar, the pool. Over all my friend orange cat that was supper friendly. Rooms are spacious and with kitchen. I will come back for sure. I did a tour through the hotel. Roberto was great booking and making sure everything was completed. Security is tight. Thank you Roatan from Jose & Monica room 1603 to next time.
Perfect Stay & Incredible Customized Day Tour in Roatán! , Snorkeler’s paradise
We just spent 10 amazing days at Infinity Bay Resort & Spa, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. Our room was spacious, quiet, and comfortable, with air conditioning that worked perfectly. Since it was the slower season, the resort felt peaceful and relaxing. Every morning started with the excellent breakfast buffet, which offered plenty of variety and set us up for the day. The beach and pools are beautiful, and the reef right in front of the resort allowed me to snorkel twice every day – a snorkeler’s paradise! For the best experience, go in early morning just around sunrise or about an hour before sunset – you’ll see the most marine life. I even snorkeled three times at night and saw a lot of fascinating nocturnal animals. The Infinity Dive Center on-site is professional, well-organized, and convenient for world-class diving. Another highlight of our trip was the full-day customized tour with Frank Osorto. Frank is friendly, personable, and flexible, making the day completely tailored to our interests. We started at Maya Eden Eco Park, where the animals were a lot of fun and the sloths absolutely adorable. We visited a few cays and resorts, including Paradise Beach Resort for snorkeling and enjoying the gorgeous beach. On the east side, we explored Jonesville and Oakridge, where the “village on the water” is stunning. The mangrove boat tour with Jerry was peaceful and unique, and there are also great snorkeling opportunities along this less-visited coast. Finally, we visited Punta Gorda, enjoying a wonderful lunch on the waterfront. Frank’s air-conditioned SUV made the day comfortable, and his prices are very reasonable. He will take you wherever you want to go – truly a personalized Roatán experience. Overall, staying at Infinity Bay and touring with Frank made our trip unforgettable. I highly recommend both for anyone looking to experience the best of Roatán – relaxing beaches, amazing snorkeling, world-class diving, and a personalized, memorable adventure.
Hotel was not good
The lobby as soon you come it smells like mold, a distinguish smell (bad), the staff not noticeable in the común areas, I came to celebrate my birthday and anniversary when I booked I was clear of the celebrations they even respond they will have something nice awaiting (not the case ) the room was nice clean how ever they did not have not even one bottle of water , out of 4 days 3 nights they came once to clean the room, the beach area has a lot of the locals hanging around harassing you as you try to lay and enjoy the beach, breakfast was good however the staff was not very attentive, not what I was expecting but overall a nice island
A true resort right on the beach.
An amazing high-end resort. OTHER places feel like a hotel on or near the beach. Infinity Bay is a diamond right on the beach with all rooms overlooking the resort & a view to the ocean. There is nothing like it. Note, there is NO elevator to the individual rooms so seniors should request the ground floor. Every unit has a covered outdoor balcony with a great view plus table & chairs. For divers like us, better to get a higher floor so you can securely hang your towels, diving gear on the balcony to dry overnight. There is an optional meal/drink plan which is a good deal if you like to eat/drink a lot. There are many restaurants, bars & pubs on the beach on either side of the resort offering the same foods at very similar prices. All 1&2 bedroom units have a FULL kitchen, big refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave & dining area. There is a liquor store, grocery store just a 5 minute walk outside the resort on the left side of the road. There are many security guards at the resort, on the road & the beach so it is VERY SAFE & walk-able no car . Will definitely come again since there are dozens of diving & snorkeling sites both on shore & via a boat. You can rent all your diving gear from the onsite diving shop or bring your own. If snorkeling in the ocean via a boat then DEFINITELY wear a life jacket since the waves are 1-2 feet tall, which is much easier than swimming & treading water. Highly recommended for families with kids, couples & seniors.
A slice of heaven in Honduras!
Our group of 12 had a spectacular time at Infinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort in West Bay Roatan, Honduras. The staff were amazing, especially Kiven Solomon and Kerrisha James, two absolutely delightful souls that made our stay memorable! You'll know it if you meet either of them, their smiles are genuine and contagious. The rooms were spacious, clean and well furnished. The grounds and pool, fantastic. Food and drinks at the La Palapa beach bar were always delicious and timely… I’m still dreaming of blended mojitos and fresh fish. However, the house reef really stole the show! Our crew snorkeled most days and nights with cameras and flashlights in hand. Incredible reef diversity, particularly at night along the inner reef, and during the day along the outer reef. All accompanying photos were taken on Infinity Bay Resort grounds, or just off the beach throughout their spectacular house reef. There are plenty of activities across the island, but hard to leave paradise when you have everything you need at Infinity Bay. I suggest bringing full rash guard suits and under water flashlights for the night snorkeling, although you can also buy these items at local dive shops... and don't forget your camera! All underwater shots were taken with either the Olympus TG-5 or TG-6. Don't need to spend a fortune on underwater cameras if the budget is tight. We plan on returning! Lastly, if you have to stand, stand on the sand! Keep the reef healthy! Cheers
Detailed Review of Our Stay – Disappointing Experience
We stayed for three nights, and unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. On our first morning, we woke up to find the living room and kitchen completely flooded. I attempted to call the front desk, but the phone was not working. I had to walk down in my pajamas to report the issue in person, emphasizing the urgency of relocating us, as our group included two elderly individuals—one of whom had already slipped, though thankfully without injury. The receptionist simply stated that someone would be sent to inspect the issue. This was at 6:00 a.m. Maintenance arrived an hour later, followed by housekeeping 20 minutes after that. We were forced to begin our day surrounded by staff trying to clean the area, which was both uncomfortable and disruptive. I returned to the front desk to request to speak with the manager, hoping for a more appropriate resolution. The receptionist, in a dismissive tone, informed me that the manager would not arrive until 8:00 a.m. and that I would need to wait. When I pressed further, she made a phone call—switching to English in a mocking tone, unaware that I understood the language. She referred to me as “this woman,” which I found deeply disrespectful. No customer should be treated with such disregard, especially based on assumptions about language comprehension. At 8:00 a.m., our group returned to the front desk. The manager arrived at 8:15 but did not address us until 8:45, and only after one of our companions asked again. While the manager was courteous and attempted to help, the solution offered was a significantly smaller room than what we had paid for. By 9:30 a.m., we returned to our original room—without any compensation for the inconvenience, lost time, or poor treatment by staff. This is not a property I would recommend to colleagues or friends. Vacations should be stress-free and enjoyable, not spent resolving issues caused by the hotel. Would I return? Absolutely not.
Got scammed
They tell you a driver is waiting for you. Driver did not show up to the spot the staff told us he would be at. so we fell for a scam from a person posing as an infinity bay employee. Management told us it was not their fault even though their driver did not show up. Do not believe any instructions the staff gave you
Family Vacation Roatan
I had two condos reserved for 5 nights in Building 15 from May 31st to June 5th. Pros- Location, pool, beach, continental breakfast, pool bar/food, most of the service, walk ability to other beach spots, convenience store, restaurants, etc. The condos are spacious. I believe this is an ownership property because the are locks on some of the doors and our two condos were slightly different. Cons- We had water issues/no water, 3 out of 5 nights we were there. One of the condos also had spotty internet and the thermostat was programmable (by someone) and it would get really warm in the middle of the night. I got up every night in the middle of the night and it would be in the 80’s and I would have to turn the air down. Maintenance was really good about arriving and working on the water issues. Oscar (the maintenance guy) was really friendly and would fix the water temporarily. I You don’t expect to get to know the maintenance guy on vacation but I did and he was great. I didn’t bring the internet and cooling/heating issues up to management because we had the water issues. The last two days I told the manager on duty that I felt like I should be compensated for the water issues and she said she had to take it to the higher ups and would get back to me. She never did. I did a follow up survey with the resort, I also got no response to that survey. So here’s the review. Overall the resort is well kept and nice. The pool, beach, and most of the service was great. You can get almost anything as far as beach activities via the hotel, multiple vendors, and random people on the beach. You can also negotiate with the folks on the beach on activity pricing. The security was visible and there the entire time we were in the grounds. We had a car because I’m comfortable driving but the roads are narrow and curvy and you have to pay attention so if you aren’t comfortable with driving take one of the many cabs.
Will work hard to ensure guest satisfaction
We just returned from a girl's trip at Infinity Bay. Although there were a few hiccups at the onset of our stay, Danaly, the reservations supervisor did an amazing job of turning the situation around, and upgrading our experience in every way. We were most impressed with her professional demeanor and the resort is lucky to have wonderful employees such as herself. In fact, the entire staff worked hard to ensure our stay was a pleasant one. The property, although not the newest, is well maintained and beautiful. The beach is glorious! We were also very impressed with the guys at Infinity Divers - very knowledgable and friendly. Be advised there is an all inclusive option and a "breakfast provided" option at IB. For us, the breakfast option worked great as it allowed us to explore some nearby restaurants as well. Our final night we thoroughly enjoyed a special dinner on the beach where Douglas took great care of us. Thanks to all! We will be back!
Did not disappoint. Can't wait to reurn!
I just returned from an amazing trip to Roatan with a week long stay at Infinity Bay Resort and spa with my sister, friends, and dad. This is the second time in a year to stay at this resort and both times were amazing. The staff is so attentive to every detail. I was met at the airport by the transport team and greeted by the front desk staff upon my arrival. Danery and the entire front desk/concierge team took care of any requests we had and set up specific excursions requested by our group. The staff at the restaurant and bar were fantastic and even went so far to make us special drinks we requested. We had 4 different units on the property and all were spacious with clean bathrooms, comfortable beds, and full kitchen, dining, and living space. The outdoor covered patios gave us a nice place to sit and talk and enjoy the tropical climate. The two pools are big enough to never be too crowded. I loved the proximity to both the pool and beach. Having the spa and dive shop on site gave us all we needed in one resort with wonder staff making it an easy vacation spot. The night snorkling excursion off the resort beach was amazing. I can't wait to return to Rostan and this resort.
Location. Pool. Beach.
Excellent resort. Traveled with my sister. Pool and hot tub were adequate. Beach was perfect. Food everywhere was expensive by our standards, this resort included. Staff was very friendly. Buffet breakfast was delicious. We’ll probably stay here next time we visit.
WORST HOTEL EVER DO NOT COME HERE
I had one of the worst experiences of my life here. The service is just horrible. They are so rude and have no decency whatsoever. They even told the manager I didn't want to pay for my drink when I simply asked how much it costs. The rooms were even worse. The bed was broken, there was gum on the chair, it smelled horrible when I first arrived and overall the rooms were disgusting. They don't care about you at all and will lie to you without feeling guilty they'll te you your room is near the beach and you'll get a room all the way in the back. Please don't come here if you wanna have a good time. There are better hotels around that same area. There are even little villas right next to the hotel that cost around the same if you want something more house like. Whatever you do do not come here.
Maintenance issues
Water went out in unit more than once for multiple hours. Otherwise nice experience but this happened on two separate days. Not ideal. House keeping only came to the room when requested. The toilet stopped working and plumbers had to come fix it. Maintenance problems overall
Beware of conferences during low season
I am disappointed about our stay at Infinity Bay Resort which we booked May 3-10 for a diving vacation. Scuba diving can be a risky sport if you are not well rested and prepared for your dive. We get a good night's sleep and don't drink before a day of diving so we can be safe and enjoy our time under water. We were impressed with the dive shop at Infinity Bay and had 2 days of wonderful diving with their team. The resort notified us on Tuesday, May 6 that they were hosting a conference and an "event" would take place in the middle of the complex on Wednesday night. We found out Wednesday that it this party would last until midnight. The club music was beyond loud and ear plugs didn't help. Although I went to the front desk in person to complain about the noise, all I was told was that it would be "escalated to upper management." I have no idea what families with kids were doing during this disruption. We were very tired Thursday but managed to enjoy our dives. When we checked out on May 10, we spoke in-person to the hospitality manager who said she hadn't heard about our issue before (so 4 days went by with no action by all of the people on staff who I spoke to, what a surprise), but she would "escalate it to upper management." We asked for a credit against our stay. We would not return to this resort again. After 2 weeks of messaging on WhatsApp we received a letter saying "Our leadership takes guest feedback very seriously and strives to ensure every guest’s experience meets the high standards we are known for. After a thorough review, they kindly approved a discounted rate for a future stay as a gesture of goodwill." Although it was a smaller problem, no one came to clean our room or change our towels once the conference started on Wednesday. The high notes--The dive shop staff were fantastic and breakfast was good. For dinner there are several excellent restaurants within walking distance. The room was comfortable and the refrigerator and microwave were convenient.
AMAZING Experience in Roatan with Cruise Day Pass
REVIEW OF DAY PASS ONLY! Booked a day pass for the day our cruise ship was in port. The facilities are top-notch! Everything is clean and there are security guards patrolling to make sure your belongings remain safe while you are enjoying the pool or the beautiful beach and sea! We received a voucher for one free alcoholic OR non-alcoholic drink per person and the password for their included wifi. Lunch was not included and was a little pricey, but was worth it and their menu is quite extensive - from traditional foods like burgers and pizza to pastas, seafood, sushi, etc. We plan on getting another day pass here next time we are on a cruise with a stop in Roatan. 10/10 WOULD DEFINITELY recommend!!
Great but avoid Sunwing
Great resort although it’s starting to slip as things were not the same as previous years. Most staff were amazing especially in the restaurant and beach area. Music st the beach at times too loud, Please beware of the Sunwing excursions. The Westend trip with the glass bottom boat was a disaster should have been cancelled due to rough conditions. But despite my efforts there was no refund even though several people felt ill and very little was seen. Book the glass bottom boat that runs outside the resort instead. Although more money it was great in previous years. Last concern don’t use anything in the unit as they have tried to charge me for a broken carafe 4 days after checking out. Of course i didn’t break it and most of my emails have been ignored. Sadly things have slipped
