By far the worst dining experience. I have been wanting to come here for months and it was really hard to get a reservation. So finally they had a Tuesday available, and I thought that at least the food and service would be worth all the waiting. However it was really a nightmare. For some reason even though we walked it a week before just to make a reservation, they sat us in this really weird section of the restaurant that is right under the staircase, where the restaurant (or in Irish term the “toilet”) is right behind our head; so throughout the whole dinner all we hear is the toilet door slamming behind us… and also on the other side of us is the coat rack. We came during Christmas time hoping to see the decorations, and since we’re seated right where the toilet door is we can’t even enjoy any bit of the ambiance. The food was also a huge disappointment- we order minestrone soup- it only had a very bland broth some onions and celery in it- no tomatoes, beans, noodles or anything else added to it. It was just the most basic broth…. The pizza was also very bland and hard without a sauce. I’m really disappointed… I felt like crying throughout the whole dinner….

Can't actually rate the food or atmosphere.
Went on Wednesday 12th November at around 1pm. Waited to be seated, as we were waiting I overheard the host tell the couple in front that they had multiple tables available. When it came to us, the host glanced at me and when I requested a table for two he told me they had "no tables" and walked away.
Incredibly rude. If it was a matter of dress code because I was wearing a hoodie, that would have been fine and if the host had explained that to me, no problem, but the rude abrupt nature of the host was disgusting. To be dismissed in such a manner was quite shocking, especially as I have frequented the cafe multiple.
