Beginning of the end
Terrible attitude shown by the staff at Oasis terrace. Rejecting customers just because I missed their 2 calls, called them back within 3 min, they didn't take my call. Then next thing I know, they removed me from their queue, shouting to my family to re-queue instead of asking us to wait for the next table. Yes business is getting good for them but arrogance is also the beginning of their downfall. No surprises when I saw some of their terrible feedbacks as well. They have a knack for inconsistency. Wish them all the best but I will not contribute any further to their future business.
The food is ok, but the service could be improved. Not getting much good service from here, service crew are quite in their own world. But other than that the food is ok. Wouldn't come back anymore, only dine in if I ever chance upon this place.
Their fried cauliflower used to be our favourite appetiser.. Happy to see its back on the menu as it been sold out during our previous few visits.But today's fried Cauliflower is mushy not crunchy and VERY Salty! No taste of Citrus Gochujang at all, more like soy sauce only. IThe Carbonara doesn't taste good as before Covid period either. The classic Caesar salad is bland.. upstairs Saizeriya's Caesar salad taste better leh. New Grilled fish, already marinated with the black pepper sauce is also a slight too Salty.. Chicken chop, Mushroom soup still maintain as goood though.
Change of Chef ? Really disappointed and sad as the food is not as good as before anymore.
The foods are great and portion is big! There are kids meals too but my girl consumed it when the food was here. There are quite a lot of variety of selection where you can choose from. Price is reasonable. I will recommend people to pop by as you will enjoy your meals here 😊😊
Very disappointing experience and bad service. From the time we stood at the entrance to the point we were seated and served food, the waitresses behind the bar just used their eyes to "point" and indicate where we should go and what we should do. Nothing verbal, no smiles, no gestures. Even while ordering and I wanted to remove bacon from my order, I just received a flat "no". Then... okay.
Menu was restrictive because it was 2pm. So there was only all day brekkie and some mains. Many items were unavailable. Taste was alright; for the experience I could have whipped up something similar at home and felt better.
To refill my tea and get some extra butter, we had to wave in the air like we just don't care... for at least 5-10 mins? There were plenty of waitresses but everyone was standing behind the bar staring at their own phones or chit chatting. Nobody threw a glance over at all. If this were a childcare centre, a child would have died. I was sitting right opposite the counter in clear view. I cannot imagine the poor souls who were seated adjacent to the bar. They must have felt like orphans.
I think because the ordering system is the latest QR scan cashless mode, so there wasn't any need to approach the tables or deliver service except the food. When a waitress finally caught my waving hand, she stared blankly at me until I got upset and motioned her over. She then rolled her eyes (quite apparent because she was wearing mask and the only view that showed were her eyes) and walked over. When we told her what we wanted, she simply took the cup and left. She returned a short while later with a refilled cup and the butter we asked for. Again, no verbal exchange or smiles. She left. I started wondering if this organisation was a charitable one that engages persons with vulnerabilities.
Anyway, if you Google cafe in punggol or something and this comes up, be prepared that it's not the typical cafe where you feel warm and fuzzy eating all day breakfasts while taking nice photos.
I seldom post reviews for businesses unless they are terribly good or exceptionally bad (just some personal background). So please regard this as a sincere piece, agree to disagree but this is my experience. Won't come back again.
Average food. Not fantastic nor great just average. Service is just as average as well. Do take note if you have special request you need to order at counter instead.
Went for dinner. Had the fish and chips as I'm not too hungry. Turn out it's HUGE ! As big as my hand. And I was telling hubby no worries should be pretty hollow inside , WRONG! It's a real thick cut of fish . Last was nice except the colour is a little over cook.
Husband had the mushroom chicken chop which was well marinated and tender. He change to sweet potato fries which was yummy .
We also order a Caesar salad which is a little bland but the salad is fresh.
The mushroom soup had a pretty strong truffle smell which is not my liking but it's nice according to husband.
Overall no complaint for the price and taste.
Solid food at good price, been here 5 times already! Terrible service though from a rude Indian waitress with a colourful ponytail (like other reviews have pointed out)
Excellent service, food and ambience. Would 10/10 recommend.
Special mention to service staff- Zahra. Was very friendly and helpful and makes the best customized coffees with great latte art.
