Revive Rx Pharmacy Mixes up Labels for Diabetes Medication In April of 2024, it was discovered that Revive Rx, a compounding pharmacy in Texas, had mislabeled their 10-milligram sterile solution of Tirzepatide vials and their 2-milliliter multidose vials. Instead of the Tirzepatide medication, the vials held testosterone cypionate. Tirzepatide is the active ingredient in drugs like Mounjaro and Zepbound that are used to manage blood sugar levels and weight management in individuals with diabetes. These drugs act similarly to Ozempic and Wegovy, whose active ingredient is semaglutide. Due to Revive Rx Pharmacy’s negligence of delivering Tirzepatide vials that contained testosterone cypionate, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recalled the drug on April 20, 2024, as stated in the recall enforcement report. The drug has been subjected to a Class I recall, indicating that using the mislabeled drug can lead to serious health effects or even death. The recall is effective across the United States, as Revive Rx Pharmacy has a widespread distribution nationwide. This recall affected 751 vials of the medication and expires on September 24, 2024.

I do not appreciate being laughed at by Morgan when asking legitimate questions concerning product availability.

I would like to know why there are so many poor reviews. I’ve been on TRT for 6 months through this pharmacy and the a lot of the feedback is negative. It would be nice to know what I’m putting into my body.

Terrible customer service. Won’t answer questions to help resolve issues, will only speak to the doctor’s office. Depending on who answers the phone you might get helped or not. Also refuses to refill my prescription until I’m already out which forces me to pay for expedited shipping and makes me have to go days without my prescription. Ridiculous.

My urologist told me they were switching from Revive due to poor customer service and unknowledgable employees.

Degrading treatment of a customer with service dog. Firstly, I’ve been a customer for years. This could just as easily be a five star review; however, I had a terrible, degrading customer service experience to bring to the attention of management. I am happy to discuss my experience with senior management, how the staff can learn from it and amend my review according to my satisfaction with the conversation. I live nearby and have an ADA compliant service dog. I stopped in on an afternoon dog walk to pick up a prescription that was prepaid. In this situation my dog was not wearing a harness because I don’t feel the need to identify my disability to my neighbors and have no legal obligation to do so. Further, this wasn’t a planned stop, but I walked by. I was immediately met by a combative front desk attendant insisting on my dog’s “papers” and “service dog identification”. I told her I would just step outside; although legally I don’t need to. She insisted I come back inside to check out and proceeded to lecture me again on my dog and offered her managers contact information. I called her manager who seemingly understood that I had no legal obligation to show any credentials or harness my dog, but implied you all may choose not to serve me if I didn’t (words were something to the effect of, “you don’t need to but if you don’t, we’ll address that next time”). That would be discrimination on the basis of disability and I would have all legal remedies available to me to rectify the situation if that did happen. Given that you all are a pharmacy and you deal with a diverse range of clientele with specific medical needs, including people with disabilities, I would like to reiterate the following to you and point you to some reference materials. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a private business may ask only TWO questions when it is not obvious that a dog is a service animal: 1. Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? 2. What work or task has the dog been trained to perform? The business cannot ask about the person’s disability, require medical documentation, demand special identification or certification for the dog, or ask for a demonstration of the animal’s tasks. Service animals must be under control and housebroken, and a business may ask the handler to remove the dog if it is out of control or poses a direct threat to others. Please see: 28 C.F.R. § 35.136 – Service animals — “Inquiries” section (f) lays out the two permitted questions and prohibitions on documentation, asking disability, etc. 28 C.F.R. § 36.302(c) – Modifications in policies, practices, or procedures (Title III, public accommodations) — includes the “Inquiries” rule and other limits on what a business can ask. ADA Title III Regulations (28 C.F.R. Part 36) – Service animals — full section on service animals as part of the regulation text. 28 C.F.R. § 35.136 – Service animals (Title II, public entities / state & local government services) — includes the parallel set of rules for state/local government settings.

**UPDATE** After 5 weeks of using as directed, I feel no lasting change in my appetite or food noise. On top of that frustration, I feel nauseous Every. Single. Day. I have pushed through due to the benefits outweighing the negatives of it...but I can no longer keep feeling this way. From everything I've read and everyone l've talked to, the nausea is supposed to subside at least some, although you might have some with a dose increase. However, I have not had a single day where I didn't feel nauseous or horrible stomach pain. I'm sick all day every day and I am miserable. I decided I am tired of feeling this way and cannot live like this. I just threw the vial away. The money wasted is worth it to me to have my life back. Maybe sema just isn't for me, or maybe this batch was bad. I think I "jumped the gun" with my review. I just want people to know real stories because going this route definitely goes with the risk of unknown. I ordered semaglutide through Amble and found out the name of the pharmacy it would be sent from after my prescription was approved. I immediately googled the company (Revive RX) and went from super excited I was getting my semaglutide soon to nervous and wondering if I should’ve done it at all after reading the reviews. I decided to keep an open mind though. The shipping was fast (2 days) and it was packaged well. They included plenty of insulin needles and alcohol swabs. I injected my first done a few days ago. When I woke up the next morning, I felt a little nauseous and noticed the thought of food just didn’t sound appealing to me. My dosing is 0.2mg (approx 6.7 units) for the first two weeks. That said, my nausea is subsiding and I still have reduced appetite. I’d say I definitely got drug, not placebo as some in the comments worried me this would be. Also, the vial isn’t full but it’s not supposed to be. I think lots of people on here don’t realize insulin syringes (these are U-100) are in UNITS not mL. Please understand what this means. If it’s filled to the line at 10, this means 10 units. NOT 10mg of drug or 10mL. The units don’t equate the amount of drug. It equates the amount of solution. I don’t know how these few months will go but I wanted to share my story in hopes that it will assuage some anxiety with those like me who read the reviews and instantly felt regret and fear over their purchase of semaglutide. The effects are too noticeable and profound to simply be a placebo effect.

Edit (10/01/25) Revive RX has MORE THAN DOUBLED the price of their HCG medication to an ABSURD rate. DO NOT SUPPORT THESE PRICES OR PURCHASE HERE. There are other pharmacies and peptide companies who aren’t price gouging. EDIT: I’m seriously starting to grow concerned about the legitimacy of their meds after seeing how many people are saying their meds from them aren’t working at all. I was having suspicions about my meds with them as well, they may need to be investigated. Horrendous parking situation…also don’t love how the receptionist blurts my medication names out loud in a small crowded waiting area Seriously? Now y’all are outsourcing call center jobs to other countries just like empower? Hire someone local who can actually speak English properly and create a job in Houston.
