Fantastic weekend on Sweet Caroline!
What a wonderful experience we have had on the Sweet Caroline (2adults and a 4 year old)! This was our first ever canal boating experience and it certainly won't be our last. Gerry & Caroline are absolutely lovely, greet you on arrival. Gerry gave us a very detailed handover and a demo/practise of driving the boat. The boat itself is immaculate. There is everything you need; tv, shower, toilet, dining table, fridge, all cooking utensils, oven, kettle, cups, plates, pans, crockery, bedding, fluffy towels, hot water, central heating. They even left us tea, coffee, sugar and some surprises in the fridge! The beds were extremely comfy! Our 4 year old had the best time, she was so excited and loved counting the numbers on the bridges. She even did her first swing bridge and I think she wants to live on a boat now! The scenery was beautiful and we saw so much wildlife.I would highly recommend booking with Reedley Boat Hire. It was a wonderful, unique experience that we will never forget. I'm sure we will be booking again soon!
Fantastic experience
We booked a week on Mustang Sally and it was fantastic. There was 4 adults and 2 dogs on our trip and we all really enjoyed it. Once we got onto the boat there was a lovely welcome pack of drinks, bread, eggs, treats for the dogs and poo bags which we thought was a lovely touch. As we were first timers the guidance and training given was brilliant. We stopped at some lovely towns along the way made it to Gargrave, which was as far as we could go as the lock was still closed. We had 2 nights stay there, ejoying the fantastic food at The Masons Arms and then going into Skipton for the day on the train before making yhe lovely journey back to Reedly Marina. The only thing we found was there wasn't enough pubs on the canal to stop at and get food or drink but that's nothing to do with Mustang Sally and still really enjoyed our week. When we stopped at Barnoldswick there was a Aldi to be able to stop at and stock up. Would definitely hire again and maybe go the other way down the canal.
Kingfisher Day Trip
Just had a wonderful day aboard the Kingfisher. Everything was explained fully and lots of help and support given before we set off making us feel more than comfortable for the journey ahead. Tea and coffee facilities and a toilet on board were a nice bonus too. An awesome experience and very reasonably priced with the 7 of us splitting the cost although the boat does hold up to 10 people. Will definitely recommend to all my friends.

Kingfisher day boat hire 👌
Another fabulous day on Kingfisher, our 2nd time. Met by Gerry at 9am who refreshed our memory on the boats operation and off we went! We were blessed with the weather and travelled towards Barrowford locks this time which we found much more scenic. Moored up at the first lock for lunch, then headed back. It's a super little narrow boat which has everything you would need for the day... loo and kitchenette with fridge and brew supplies, and instant hot water for any washing up. We had a lovely picnic sat out the front and did our bit to tidy up the canal by retrieving many lost footballs along the way... we had one very happy boy on board! We had the best day and are now looking into booking a holiday (overnight) narrow boat with them! Highly recommended, get it booked!
Fantastic week holiday
Me and husband booked a canal boat called sweet Caroline for a week. We enjoy every second of our trip. The boat was well equipped from kitchen, bathroom and bedroom we even had a few little treats in the fridge aswell which I thought was very thoughtful. Gerry and Caroline were the most perfect hosts.. we had done canalling before but Gerry gave us a quick demo of driving and doing the locks then let us off on our own. I would highly recommend booking from Gerry and Caroline at reedley. We can’t wait to book again

Day out on Kingfisher - 4 June 2022
Hired Kingfisher for my 50th birthday, went with family, aged between 18 to 74, we all thoroughly enjoyed cruising the cut and will definitely be hiring her again. Barry explained everything to us, took us on a short journey to show us the ropes etc then off we went down the Leeds Liverpool Canal, was out for about 6 hours. For a day trip the canal boat had everything we needed, fridge, hot water, coffee, milk etc. oh and toilet. If you are after a relaxing yet fun day then can highly recommend.
Excellent trip aboard Mustang Sally
What a delightful trip, 4 nights on Mustang Sally. Boat with lots of character, and brilliantly set up by Gerry and his wife. Lots of nice finishing touches and fab welcome pack. Lots of soft fluffy towels and super comfy pillows and bedding. Lock training was excellent, and gave us the confidence to embark on our adventure. See you again, and thanks for an excellent experience.
Excellent Experience
Just returned from a week long trip on Sweet Caroline. Excellent experience overall. Thanks to Gerry & Baz for excellent tuition in handling the boat and the locks. The boat itself is compact and well fitted out. The welcome pack of wine, beer, eggs, milk, tea, coffee, sugar is a lovely touch and provision of towels saves you luggage space. We had a minor issue with the fridge on our first day, but Gerry tracked us down early the next morning with a solution. We definitely felt that help (if it was needed) was never far away and would be willingly offered. We would highly recommend booking with Reedley.
Sweet caroline
Very clean just very basic could do with up grade on bedding, towels. All pillows on every bed were terrible. Just under a £100 for fuel and gas seemed very over priced.

A great day out
I booked the day boat hire for my sister's birthday. We were on the Kingfisher boat. It was brilliant. Barry who greeted us was great. Very helpful & friendly. We'd brought tea, sugar, coffee, cups etc to find the boat came equipped with it all. Barry even provided a Bluetooth speaker, a great added touch that had us dancing on the boat. All in all, a really great day out with the family.
Fantastic day trip on the Day boat
Booked the Day boat on 23rd April for the day. Our group of 9 had a fantastic day navigating the canal and stopping for a great picnic lunch. Barry showed us exactly what to do and 20 minutes later we were off. Great day out for all of us and would recommend for groups of all ages. The whole team at the marina were so helpful and friendly.

Great for your mental health.
We have just got back from our first canal boating experience and have caught the bug. We stayed on the Mustang Sally, named after the very helpful Sally and Dave. We were looked after from start to finish by Gerry, Caroline, Roy, Dave and Sally. The little touches of the wine, beer, tea, coffee and eggs were very welcomed. The narrow boat was immaculate and very comfortable, the only thing we couldn’t find was a dustpan and brush to clean up with, which made us feel very guilty. The instruction given by Roy was clear and very easy to understand even for novices like us! He was witty and made us feel very at ease with it all.The beds were comfortable so we got a really good night sleep. For once we were able to switch off from work a really relax, something we never normally do, I would say this is an ideal holiday for workaholics like us, who need a break for their own well being. We would highly recommend this as a holiday and would use again if we don’t buy our own boat!!!
