Thank You, Charlie & Raynes Construction
We found Raynes Construction online while looking for a local builder for our side extension in Wimbledon Park. From enquiry to completion, the experience was seamless, and we are delighted with the results.
Charlie’s detailed proposal and estimate gave us confidence to appoint him before meeting in person. When we did, his passion, project management skills, and coordination were immediately clear.
As we live far away, we relied on his regular updates via phone and whatsapp, and he was always accommodating, even making himself available in the evenings and on weekends for site visits. He delivered on time and within budget, and we were amazed that his team completed the work in just four weeks, as promised.
Charlie's knowledge and experience are invaluable. He even designed the roof, stepping in where our architect fell short, and his expertise and problem solving made a huge difference especially as this was our first project.
His team was a pleasure to work with, and the site was always well managed and tidied. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome.
Dominique & Johan
We completed a rear extension with the team from Raynes construction and it was a completely seamless journey from applying for planning permission to completion. They were there for us every step of the way even when we hit speed bumps and we couldn't be happier with the quality of the work and the support received. They were on a tight deadline given I am due to have a baby and they stuck to their word on timelines . Janam our project manager really looked after us and was always available to allay any fears or concerns we had. The project was completed on time and on budget. Highly recommend !
My partner and I just got a kitchen extension completed in South Wimbledon. We had an old extension that had to be demolished and a new extension erected.
The timeline overran slightly on the project but that was down to our architect fault. The next time we do any works we will use Raynes Construction In house architects as we found them more helpful then our actual ones!

Thank you Luci, we appreciate your feedback.
We recently got our, extension done by Raynes Construction. We brought a probate house that needed everything doing.
The team helped us from inception to completion hand holding us through the whole process.
The team helped with a difficult party wall situation with complicated underpinning. They made the whole process stress free with great communication.
We are very happy with the end result and have already recommended them to our neighbours
Thank you!
Through reading reviews, we seeked out Raynes construction to consult and quote to renovate our kitchen and slightly reposition a ground floor toilet. They connected us to a contractor best suited to our needs and budget, whilst also helping us with additional suppliers and quotes when required. Despite the project initially appearing straightforward there were understandably issues that arose during the build which required additional attention. Overall the whole process, including the unforeseen additions, were managed efficiently and on schedule. We are very happy with the service provided by Raynes and particularly the efficient and detailed management Janam provided for the project. We are very satisfied with the work done by his team, Mahmoud’s care in details and making sure work is done on schedule. We are lucky to have them and would recommend them.

Thank you for your review. You have great taste and the space looks lovely and bright now.
Be very careful with these people.
I contacted Jon (Neil) today, to do a 3m full extension with bi-fold doors all across it and to install an enourmous new kitchen there, to change all the plumbing around the whole house, to refurbish 2 bathrooms, to change the whole floor on the ground floor, to demolish a chimney on 2 floors (possibly 3) and to tile most of the garden that is 18m long at a 4 bedroom blay house in Raynes Park, and Jon said it is not enough of a big project for them. Then you go to their website, and they say they do kitchen extensions and refurbishments and also state that no kitchen and no bathroom is too small for them. 🤔 We are thinking of spending £150K/£160K on the work and we have the budget for it, but they don't want our money. How bizarre.
The last project they filmed and proudly put on Facebook is an extension smaller than the extension we're planning to do.
I think they didn't like the fact that I noticed that their company has been dissolved (pictures attached) and, for this reason, I asked them by email if they were still trading. I genuinely imagined that they had opened another company with another name, but now I'm not very sure of it... Jon (Neil) didn't give any explanation about it.
How fishy... And they put on their website that they created the company so people would avoid cowboy builders. 🤔
No company = no insurance.
Even more fishy is this guy CHANGING his reply of my review, after TWO YEARS!!! I understand he has a new company NOW, but TWO YEARS AGO he had the company I made the review for, and on his website he indeed stated that there was no small work they couldn't do it.
Low life justifying other companies' mistakes because I complained about them too. The problem with the cleaning company is not that they didn't show up, but because they haven't bothered to email me INFORMING IT/APOLOGISING FOR IT and REBOOKING. Your lack of understanding of this, "Jon" (or whatever your real name is) is also a point of concern, as you obviously give the same treatment to your customers.
I've seen how long it took you to finish the house you were refurbishing at Greenway recently. I felt sorry for that people.
You must be paying a lot of karma for the things you do to others...

Tatiana emailed on Friday, 07/01, and we exchanged a few messages. She misunderstood my email, which merely stated that our focus is on larger projects.
Tatiana misinterpreted our correspondence and subsequently posted a negative review.
Coincidentally she left a bad review for the window cleaning company I use. They had to cancel an appointment due to a storm and she gave them a 1 star:
For small business - this is really damaging especially when it is not accurate.
To clarify for potential customers:
We have dissolved Raynes Park Construction and established the Raynes Group to focus on larger projects and developments. Our primary focus is on substantial structural work; we are not equipped for small remedial tasks.
My full name is Neil Jonathan Standley, but I go by Jon, which I prefer.
For your peace of mind, I have attached our insurance certificate, confirming that Raynes Group Ltd is fully insured.
I originally set up Raynes Park Construction to provide an honest service. Anyone who has dealt with me personally can attest to my integrity and honesty. This one-star review deeply upsets me as it does not accurately reflect who I am or the business I run. I work very hard to provide for my family and always go the extra mile to ensure our customers feel valued and comfortable.

I contacted Jon Stanley from Raynes Construction after seeing their advert on Facebook. Jon came out to see us to discuss our quite specific jobs which we wanted doing on our property. Jon took the time to understand our requirements, which included structural work and being away when it took place. Both Jon and Charlie are very personable, and you get the impression that they care about achieving the agreed outcomes to a high standard and at the agreed timescales. They are highly contactable during the project and working with their colleagues in their office in Wimbledon, you do feel supported by their admin team, as well as the workers on site. I would be happy to recommend Raynes Construction!

Thank you David, your design is great opening up the space. I would love to see it when it is all done -)
We were looking for a local Loft Converter and came across Charlie. From initial contact, to estimate and completion of our Loft Conversion, we were immensely happy with him and Jon’s Professionalism.
There team were prompt, clean and considerate whilst we lived at the house during the works.
They completed within the time schedule and even decorated our hallway at no extra costs.
We look forward to contacting you for our rear extension.

Thank you - you were a pleasure to work with and happy to do any future works with you! We really enjoyed our working relationship.
We renovated our kitchen with them. We were introduced by Janam to Mahmoud and his team. Mahmoud and his team did a great job of preparing and installing the kitchen. They regularly went above and beyond throughout the project and Janam was regularly following up during the process. It took over a month to finish the renovation and we are happy with the result.

Thank you and hope you enjoy your kitchen.
Friends and family are amazed!
We were replacing an old conservatory with an extension and removing a fireplace, to create a large bright room, with a dining and seating area. We met Jon in October, agreed a plan.
The team started and completed the job on time, with no unpleasant shocks. I was very impressed but their work ethic, skill and courtesy.
The quality of work is some of the best I've seen, delivered when expected, and the entire team was an absolute pleasure to deal with throughout! Charlie and Dhruvi responded to any questions or concerns, and ensured they were fully addressed
I am really happy with the end result and looking forward to it being a great space for our family to get together

We met with Jon back mid 2023 when we were interested in getting a rear extension. We opted for a Design and build program where the team handles the architectural drawings, planning and technical drawings. Janam was our dedicated project manager who we loved!
We are so impressed with the service we got from the RC team as they were alway on hand to help us and loved the weekly meetings we had to ensure the project was on track. We would highly recommend Jon and the team who helped us create our dream extension!!

We have just completed our Loft conversion and are over the moon with the service and quality of work we received. We are not one to write reviews but massively support what Charlie and Jon are doing!
Very hard to find builders like these guys!!

Thank you Bernard.
This has been the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. They came frequently at the start to close the deal, and at the end to charge us, and never stepped foot on-site whilst the loft was being built by their workers/subcontractors. There was no project management or coordination with their workers and we, the customers, had to keep running to shops and deal with them daily ourselves. We’ve had an unending amount of stress and ended up with a bad job full of mistakes that need fixing.

To potential clients reading this review, our most recent 5-star rating came from a project we completed on the same street shortly thereafter. Unfortunately, this particular situation involves a challenging customer whom we endeavored to satisfy with our utmost dedication and care but ultimately couldn't meet their expectations.
It's important to note that the review contains inaccuracies, and any issues that arose during the project were largely due to the client's choice of non-standard items. Despite numerous on-site meetings, there was a notable misunderstanding of typical construction processes. Additionally, we didn't agree to provide project management services, which is a separate, payable service we offer. Instead, the client opted for contract administration, dealing directly with the contractor.
We handled the termination of our professional relationship with this client in a respectful manner, opting to waive a significant outstanding payment as a goodwill gesture and compensation.
As a company we are looking to grow beyond such a review and take any learning we can to improve our customer experience and output.
Flavia - If you feel you would like to discuss this matter further, I would be happy to discuss.

RPG completed our loft conversion to a high standard and were quick to get started. Jon, Dhruvi and Janam were also keen to help and share contacts for other services we needed. Thank you!

We are generally happy with Jon and his team for the our kitchen work. They are very responsive in communication and update of the project progress. When there were problems encountered even after the project completion, the team was eager to sort it out asap, they value highly on customer satisfaction.
