I have been using Qualicare Newmarket for the last 6 months to help provide caregivers to my elderly mother during her recovery from a fall. Boma, the manager, worked hard to provide me with suitable and trained caregivers, making changes where necessary. She is very easy to communicate with, with by text or email when any concerns arrive and replies in a timely fashion. The contract is fair and fees are competitive. My mother has progressed well with their help and the care provided gave our family much needed respite and peace of mind. The only recommendation I have is that when the schedule gets changed after posting online that caregivers are reminded to check the schedule for updates or that the client regularly checks for any changes so as to be alerted in time. I would highly recommend Qualicare and their services! Thank you!

We had to get a private psw for my Dad urgently. I met with Boma on a Monday, my dad had care on Tuesday and tested positive for covid the next day. The care did not stop, the quality of care was fantastic. Boma even reached out to me on Saturday to tell me how my dad was doing in isolation. This is a very good company, I would recommend Qualicare to everyone.

After realizing we could not provide a full time safe and beneficial environment for our family member we were offered the reference of the Qualicare Newmarket office by an associate. From the first call we were impressed with the offer of services available and the genuine understanding and care we were feeling from Qualicare. We arranged a consult with a nurse for making a plan and schedule and 2 days later we were putting it in action. The PSW care givers were exceptional and miles above others we had experience with from other organizations. From initiating conversation, with our family member, extending great personal care, showing compassion, making meals, doing laundry, light housework, arriving on time, washing/ showering, and doing more than I could have previously expected. Qualicare has set the bar high and attained greater than the level of my expectation. Very pleased! Boma has been available at all hours we required to talk with her. She has personally attended physically on location during after hours when we did not have full time care and had an emergency where she called in unscheduled help. Caring, flexible, adaptable and professional. Glad to have found such trusted PSWS with good work ethics and caring personalities. Angels! Thank you!

Qualicare ia very efficient & trustworthy agency. Their caregivers have looked after my 94 year old mother with dimentia for over a year now. Always reliable & so friendly & a great companion for my mother. Also communication with them is very easy. They do call if there is any problems with Mom or if for some reason the caregiver cannot come. I have seen management fill in when needed. Thank you Qualicare

My mother had 24 hour care through Qualicare. Her caregivers were kind, efficient and careful with her care and wants. During Covid when my Mum was isolated they were very good about sharing any and all issues and working with me towards a good resolution. I valued very much the care they gave my mother.

We used Qualicare for support for a short term, which we thought would have become long term. However family did not require that much support. Qualicare was very responsive to our needs and adjusted timing and schedules immediately. As our needs change I will definitely be reaching out to them for support. The staff who worked with us were very good and caring. Never had an issue.

I hired Qualicare when my Mom required 24 hour supervision and it was not possible for the family to maintain her needs on our own. The services provided were exactly what we were looking for. Mom had PSW support with different people in her environment and we had a break. I will be honest, it is pricey, but no different than other private care, if you choose to go this route. There will be different caregivers, which allows for the flexibility to find those that match your loved one’s personality and situation. Any issues are dealt with promptly by the owner. My Mom really enjoyed the caregivers she spent her days with and was well looked after. Which gave me peace of mind. In these difficult times, there are choices that have to be made and I was pleased that I decided on Qualicare.

Richard and his staff were a godsend when I was looking to hire a live in care giver for my 90 year old Mom who has Alzheimer. He worked diligently until we had the right candidate and made the hiring process simple. Qualicare Newmarket also has helped in providing ongoing weekend respite care by qualified caring PSW's for when the live in caregiver is off for the weekend. I know that I can call on Richard and his team with any of my problems that arise in caring for my Mom in her own home. In the spring of 2013 my wife was diagnosed with stage-four breast cancer. After spending four months in hospital, my wife was permitted to come home under palliative care and required significant nursing care to manage a number of difficult health issues. My wife required more than the basic nursing care provided by CCAC. I explored various options for nursing care and discovered Qualicare. From my first phone conversation with Richard Hennigar and the subsequent meeting that followed with both Richard and Samantha Hennigar, my wife and I knew we had found the appropriate care that my wife required. My wife was very nervous at the thought of coming home due to the complicated nature of her care and her state of health. When my wife first met Samantha, right after that meeting, my wife told me that she felt comfortable with what Samantha had to say to her about the care she would receive; Samantha helped put my wife’s mind at ease and provided her a level of comfort as we prepared for the transition from hospital to palliative care in our home. Samantha was instrumental in assisting my family and me with a smooth transition from the hospital to our home. Samantha provided assistance by coordinating the necessary communication with the nurses and doctors in ensuring all the necessary aspects were addressed to ensure that there were no obstacles in providing proper care for my wife. Samantha and her colleague Ashley, would subsequently make daily visits to change IV medication and assist with whatever else required their nursing attention. Samantha and Ashley demonstrated a level of care, compassion and attention to detail with every single visit. This schedule of daily visits would go on for the next three months. My wife’s state of health was poor with many medical complications and she faced many challenges along the way that caused her to be hospitalized on and off again. My wife passed away in early January 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. I am so thankful and fortunate to have engaged the nursing care of Qualicare. The level of care was exceptional; however the relationship went beyond their care. Samantha and Ashley had a special bond with my wife. Their interaction was great to see and they gave my wife comfort and confidence in dealing with them. Their core values that make them great nurses and people came to light with each and every visit. It is this special care that they provided that assisted my wife and my family in allowing us to have great quality time with my wife in the last few months of her life. My children and I are forever grateful to Samantha and Ashley for the great care they provided. Thanks to Qualicare for this great service you provide. I picked Qualicare Newmarket as a result of a google search for additional services to help my Mother while in hospital. They were responsive, courteous, and knowledgeable on initial encounter. As our time together continued I was reassured that these were not only observations, but realities. Their staff is caring, kind and attentive to my 80 yr old Mothers needs. It has been a pleasure to deal with these folks, I would recommend Qualicare Newmarket, for ancillary health services in hospital and at long term care facilities. They have seamlessly worked with healthcare staff in the hospital and at my Mothers home to provide her the best care possible.
