House built in 2018, I purchased in 2020. Roof installed incorrectly, furnace/water heater had apparent damage from being exposed to the elements prior to roof installation. Unfortunately, none of these issues came to light until after the incredibly short warranty given, and all issues were related to incorrect installation during build. The ROOF was wrong. The fundamental aspect of a home, shelter. I am generally one to give the benefit of the doubt, but all of my neighbors had the exact same issues.
I love my house the only issue that I had with the builder was standing behind the work. I had a house built back in 2022 and after moving in my walk way cracked. I submitted a claim but they would not repair it because it was small. Now I have weeds growing through the crack. Now its owned by a new company I wonder if they will stand behind their work. I have a hole in my soffit board that was covered with tape and painted over and nails coming out of my siding.
My family was desperate to move out of state in 2023. We started looking for our first home in Indy and we found one that was completed by Pyatt the year prior. We did not use a real estate agent and Pyatt sales rep was not willing to offer any discount. Thanks to the head of sales, who instructed the sales rep to offer a discount on the house that had been waiting for a buyer post completion. Communication was okay prior to closing. When moving in, a small part of the laminate flooring tore. A few weeks later, we started noticing more issues: the master bedroom's door would not shut; two bedrooms' doorknobs broke; kitchen sink was leaking; a smoke detector detached and was hanging down from the ceiling; and the tree on the front yard died. Reported the issues and they came to fix some of them; we paid to replace the flooring. Although the master bedroom's door is now shutting, the inner top of the door frame is left damaged from being hammered so it could shut. We called them to have the dead tree replaced since a neighbor's was replaced who had the same issue, but we were told they could not replace ours because the neighbor closed in a season different from when we did. We were told we were not taking care of the tree; although the other two trees (one on the side of the house and one in the backyard) that we provided the same treatment are still alive. Upon removing the dead tree, we found a bunch of water underneath, which an expert said was probably the cause of the death due to not filling it with enough dirt. We are in the process of paying for another tree to be planted.
Built my house 2 years ago. The customer service with Cory and Nick were amazing. Gary the construction supervisor made sure everything I asked for was on point. I love my neighborhood, very clean and quiet. Also I love how Pyatt spaced the houses unlike other builders. Most def recommend building with Pyatt.

I had a house built by Pyatt Builders. So far so good. Hopefully it will make it to 5 star status. We will see!! Update: I still give 3 stars for Pyatt Builders. I'm not satisfied with the drywall work. Initially, the drywall looked good with flat white paint. However, now we have discovered that this is not the case. I've had some walls painted in certain areas of the house. To our surprise the walls had a poor appearance to the quality of work that I expected from Pyatt Builders. But what really has me very upset is how Pyatt speaks so highly of the Avas company. The service I received is a 1 star. Please don't make the same mistake .

Pyatt built my house in November of 2020. The longer I am here the more I discover of their shoddy craftsmanship. When removing carpet from my stairs and upstairs I found that not only were the stairs completely crooked, I also paid extra for the upgraded carpet pad for moisture and pets and it wasn't installed correctly. The pad had large spaces in between each section which would allow liquid to seep through into the subfloor, rendering it completely useless. Our studs upstairs are 24 inches apart, using 2x4s. This is "technically" okay, but it shows that Pyatt is more concerned with cutting their cost than producing a good product. It also makes the insulation upstairs abysmal; the temperature differential between upstairs and downstairs is at least 10 degrees. They left glue and sealant all over the windows. The windows themselves had to be repaired because they were not installed correctly. All of our grass died in the front yard, almost immediately. Our driveway cracked a few months after installation. We are unable to plant anything in our front yard because they did not manage the utility cables in an organized manner. We were strongarmed into choosing a color for our exterior that we didn't want because they said two houses next to one another couldn't be the same color. They don't even paint with an upgraded finish! They use contractor grade flat paint. Honestly, I could go on and on. It is so frustrating when you pay the amount we did, but get such a subpar product. Pyatt -- do better, you should be ashamed of the product you deliver.
