☺ Breakfast. Staff at the restaurant were very smiley and helpful, Breakfast was very nice. The bed was comfortable.
☹ We were staying in room 12. One tiny tiny shampoo and body wash sachet for two people for two nights? The first evening, we had very dry biscuits, and the second, nothing :).
The room smelled bad, and the carpet was dirty. The shower was very weak and unstable—cold, hot, cold. took ages to take a shower :(.

☺ Breakfast was good quality ingredients, but a touch small (I do have a big appetite though!).
Simple check in process.
VERY spacious room (Not sure if I was accidentally given a bigger one...).
Staff were very helpful, I left my charger in error and they organised posting it back out to me (at my expense, of course) quickly and easily.
☹ Room was VERY cold! Even with the plug in heater on constantly, it didn't get warm. The radiator never got warm at all despite being on full blast, so I cna only assume the heating was off.

☺ Easy access to the city centre and motorway. Restaurant had good choice of food in the evening, great venue, staff very attentive.
☹ Pillows and room had an odour when we arrived, cigarette stub left in room on top of radiator, light on entrance not working, not enough hanging hooks in the bathroom, large stain on ceiling near entrance.

☺ Convenient location for Aintree Racecourse. Traditional B&B, in both decor and layout.
☹ Electric shower was poor; variable heat levels very low power.
Very busy in the restaurant in the evening, I felt this was the bore business, hotel residents came second.
