Very disappointing experience.
The company took a long time attempting to identify a fault and ultimately failed to find it. As the work was charged by the hour, this significantly increased the cost and made the lack of progress particularly frustrating. I later discovered the issue myself, which only added to that frustration given the time spent on site.
More concerning was what happened next. After being unable to identify the problem, there was no clear explanation or agreement that further investigation would be carried out at additional cost. While I was out, they proceeded anyway without my authorisation.
A bill of £330 was then presented and settled with my wife, who was placed in a difficult position and understandably paid it, having not been informed that extra chargeable work beyond the original scope was being undertaken. To their credit, a small partial refund was later issued in recognition that they should not have proceeded without my consent.
To add to this, around a month later the same drain noise returned, which raises serious questions about what work was actually carried out. When I raised this with the company, I was told that nothing comes with a guarantee and that I would need to pay a further £85 simply to have the issue investigated again.
The follow-up email correspondence has been particularly disappointing and dismissive in tone and showing no accountability for the issues raised or how the situation was handled. The fact the company employs a Contracts and Complaints Executive only makes this experience more surprising.
Overall, the lack of transparency around costs, consent, communication, and outcomes was unacceptable. I would not use this company again and would advise others to be very cautious and ensure all work and charges are explicitly agreed in advance.

On the initial visit, access to and identification of the drainage system was delayed as the gully was not visible or clearly located. As you were unavailable at the time, our engineer made the decision to use CCTV equipment to locate the chamber efficiently rather than leave site with a blockage still present. This approach was taken to resolve the issue as quickly and cost-effectively as possible.
When you later contacted us to express concern regarding the charge, we acknowledged that further work should not have been carried out without your explicit authorisation and, as a result, issued a partial refund immediately. This demonstrates our willingness to take responsibility where appropriate.
The original blockage was identified as a fat build-up. As clearly stated on our invoice, blockages caused by fat carry no guarantee, as they can and do reoccur depending on usage. We did not state that nothing comes with a guarantee — had we carried out pipe repairs or replacement work and an issue remained, we would of course have returned free of charge. However, this was an unblocking service, and repeat blockages unfortunately fall outside our control.
Drainage systems can reblock for many reasons, including fat, food waste, wipes, and paper products. Returning free of charge for every recurring blockage would simply not be sustainable for any drainage company.
We are a family-run business that takes great pride in our workmanship and customer service, so it is disappointing to receive a one-star review based solely on our refusal to carry out further chargeable work free of charge, particularly when the original issue was resolved and left free-flowing on departure.
That said, we do appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best going forward.

The Lady that took our call reporting blocked drain that was overflowing was professional and good to her word. Took details of the problem and promised to call back with an engineer appointment, which she did in 10 minutes. Ryan turned up on time and dealt with a very messy problem, explaining to me in simple language what needed doing and the costs to do so. The job was completed in an hour and Ryan was both professional and helpful throughout. I definitely recommend this company

Cleared blockage however the initial quote was £42.50 for a manual rodding and additional £57.50 if pressure hose needed. when he arrived he ent through quote in the dark. and said £42.50 for labour and £57.50 for pressure hose. Thought it was one man job but halfway through I noticed another guy who was helping! when I got the bill there was another £42.50 added for the 2nd mans labour which had not been mentioned hen he arrived. would not use them again.

We had a sudden problem with the majority of our drains - I enquired at around 10pm on a Thursday night and Kelly, the Director got back to me with the quotes and details and once I said yes she had someone come out at 9am the next morning to scope out the problem.
She sent out someone called Mikey who was more than great.
He was polite, clean and explained everything to us in a way we could understand. When he explained the problems he also didn't try to upsell us or tell us to do anything we didn't need to do immediately - we had just bought the house so he recognised the need to maybe put money into other aspects and areas - however, he then explained that it might cause issues.
He then consulted with his colleagues and gave us a quote.
He was so good at what he did that we asked if he could come back the following monday and fix it all.
On that Monday Mikey arrived on time and again, was polite, clean and educated us on everything he was doing.
We were very impressed with the whole experience overall and would highly recommend Mikey and also Pro-drainage to anyone.

We needed the culvert in front of 4 properties to be jet washed through so called pro drainage they were out to visit the site the next day offered a day to get the job done and turned up promptly, super friendly company, they know what they are talking about and knew instantly what was needed to be done, i cannot fault Mark and the pro drainage team if you want a job doing I highly recommend them

Managed to block my drain while trying clear it when the rubber scraper got stuck and pulled off the end of the rods (don't buy cheap drain rods). Jordan was brilliant, explained all the costs clearly and was very re-assuring as well as managing to get the scraper out! As I had paid for the camera he also examined the other drain lines and pointed out where there may issues in the future. All in all a great service. Thanks Jordan!

Pro drainage were great again as normal. We had a blockage in our system found late on Friday night. Mark and the team arranged to be on site first thing Monday morning with a tanker and an engineer to clear and empty the system. Big thank you. I highly recommend pro drainage. We have used them since before buying our house. They did the survey work, upgrades to our system and the ongoing maintenance and clearing.

I recently hired them to clear my flooded drains after the recent storms. Both gentlemen were very polite and efficient, completing the work quickly and leaving everything spotless. Their service was surprisingly affordable; they cleared my drain in under 20 minutes, resulting in a much lower bill than I anticipated. I would highly recommend them. My father also experienced issues with his pumping station last week, and they dispatched a very knowledgeable technician who resolved the problem in under 20 minutes at a remarkably low cost. He was quite surprised by the reasonable price. I commend their commitment to honest and reliable service.

What a great job from Pro Drainage ! We have the dreaded pitch fibre drains (x2) for our home and after a recent blockage of one of them, and confirmation by a local drain clearing company and camera check, we had several blisters in the drains. I had three companies review and quote. They all advertised as pitch fibre specialists. The two other companies wanted to dig, which would have included our concrete garage floor and block paved pathway. Only Pro Drainage wanted to try the non dig approach. We are so happy that we went with them. The drain under the garage was cleared with their chain cutter and relined with no digging required. The other drain did eventually require a dig because it was too compromised. However, we were really concerned about the mess as it was quite deep and the paving going back properly but you would not know though that we had a pretty deep hole at the front our house. Bobby who did the work was great and really knows his trade. Mark also honoured the original non dig quote !
The cost was also cheaper than the other companies. What more can I say and if only all companies operated this way. I have recommended them to several neighbours which I would certainly not do normally. Great to do business with them and 6 stars from us but not possible !

Must be monitored
Arrived on time and got the job done but I strongly advise you monitor their work. They charge per 30mins for labour and when the pump is operational but constantly turn the pump off and stand around to extend the job. They were there for 45 and
could gave finished in under 30. Had the pump running for 5mins then turned it off for 10 before restarting for another 5mins. They were intending to charge an hour for the use of the pump until this was pointed out. Guys are polite but will ensure the job takes a lot longer than needed if you do not monitor them.

I called Pro Drainage after calls to three other companies looking for someone to help me with degrading pitch fibre pipes. We had been told by other companies that we would have to dig up our pipes to replace them as they were past the point of relining. I spoke to someone on reception who told me I’d need to speak to Mark, the company owner and pitch fibre specialist. Within a couple of hours Mark called and we arranged for him to come and inspect the pipes. He reassured me that there were very few pipes the company couldn’t reline. Sure enough, on conducting a thorough inspection Mark explained how the process would work and how he had designed equipment to expand our pipes before relining. Within days, we had an appointment and a team turned up to spend the day undertaking the work we had agreed on. We then received a video to show the pipes working and the liners in place. I cannot express how relieved and impressed we were with all aspects of Pro Drainage’s work. It saved us digging up a new and expensive resin driveway and caused no inconvenience to us other than arranging the work and being present for it for a day. We frequently had to have our drains unblocked and experienced issues with sinks and water flow. All the issues we had are now gone. Thank you Mark and the Pro Drainage team!

Absolutely fantastic service from pro drainage.. when you have problems with the drains that you have no idea what to do.. pro drainage were literally to the rescue..! From start to finish..!
I called up them up this morning due to an on going issue with my toilet blocking.
They were at my door in less than 2 hours.. all rates were explained clearly.. issue now fixed at a good cost.. Would highly recommend these guys..!

Fantastic service from start to finish.
All the office staff are so accommodating with all our requests and nothing is ever too much trouble. Always on hand 24/7 should we need to contact them. Tankers are fully equipped with what you need to complete the job. Would highly recommend them to anyone.
