Amazing, updated hotel with great pool! My husband and I started our honeymoon in Italy with this hotel in Florence, and it was a fabulous choice. I really wanted a hotel with a pool given the temperature in Italy in July. It was about a 25-minute walk from the city center, but they have a shuttle that we used several times to get into the city, and then we usually walked back. It was really nice to be outside of the city and to have this oasis to return to. They gave us a free upgrade to a larger room with a river view, and a bottle of champagne to celebrate our honeymoon. The pool area was sparkling clean and beautiful - I think it was the cleanest pool I've ever swam in! Just FYI - the pool is very deep (no shallow end), so not great for small kids. They do have a sitting area (sort of like a hot tub, but not hot) attached to the deep pool. Every area of the hotel was so clean and updated. We also used the indoor spa, which was so nice! Highly recommend this boutique hotel!

Ville Sull'Arno is worth a stay Ville Sull'Arno My husband and I recently stayed at Ville Sull'Arno in Florence. It is a charming hotel with some lovely facilities that you don't often find in a city hotel, such as, outdoor and indoor pools. Overall I would say the hotel deserves its 5 star status and in comparison to other Florentine 5 star hotels it is good value. On arrival, having been ripped off by our airport taxi driver, we were very happy to have been given an upgrade on our room - with a view directly over the Arno, which made up for the taxi fiasco. Ville Sull'Arno is billed as a five star hotel but there were little details that took the shine off the stars. -Bathroom tap not plumbed in flush to the wall. -Chipped bath covered with enamel -Stained 'fresh' linen (which was changed immediately when I pointed it out). -Oversized TV (dominated the room). -The metal headboard does not allow for comfortable bedtime reading. -Light fitting with loose wires -The wardrobe is basic -The decor choices are questionable - rusty paint pot lights! Other room details were nice, such as the robes and slippers, sweet treats on the pillows for turndown, a well stocked fridge (but expensive). The room cleaning is to a very high standard. The breakfast service is OUTSTANDING. I would highly recommend paying the extra for breakfast during your stay. The choice of foods (hot & cold) is something else and the breakfast staff are great. We dined at the restaurant during our stay and the food was excellent. It's a destination restaurant, therefore making a reservation is a good idea. We also had room service one evening and the food was excellent. The spa is well worth a trip, the indoor pool was a very peaceful experience. The staff of Ville Sull'Arno are lovely and helpful. The hotel is walkable to/from Florence, but unpleasant in the heat - I never went out before 5pm to avoid it! You are better off taking advantage of the shuttle. The location is great to get away from the craziness of Florence - instagram influencers have ruined the city for me with their insta-hot spots - but that is a different review!

Best hotel in Florence, beautiful and friendly! It was part of our honeymoon and we could not have chosen better, all our expectations were exceeded, the staff, the restaurant, the room, the spa everything absolute delight! It was one of the best sleeps of my life, the reception team gave us a few little presents for our honeymoon celebration as well, we can't thank you all enough! We can't wait to be back, thank you so much to everyone at Ville Sull'Arno!

worth a stay Beautiful property. This is my 9th time visiting Florence and this place was a lovely option. Being that I didn't need to stay the city center and to be away from the crowds, it was so relaxing to return to this oasis. I was in room 202 that is located in the new wing and is modern/gorgeous.. I would ask for the same room when I return. Other friends had rooms in the main building with an old world design - also lovely.. The spa was so relaxing and the massage was in my top 3. The hotel had a mini White Lotus vibe if you are familiar with the series...

Wonderful stay We stayed at sull'Arno for a few nights as a minimoon following our wedding, and we couldn't have had a better stay. The staff were great and made sure to accommodate to our vegan dietary requirements each morning at breakfast. Would definitely return.

Gem off beaten path in Florence Just left the hotel - fantastic property which is a little off the beaten path outside of the main touristy areas for a quieter experience. The property itself has great amenities and fantastic staff. Food was excellent as well. Rooms are very small and if you’re not used to certain shower nuances then you’ll need to adjust but everything is first rate.

Lovely holiday hotel Nicely located on the banks of the Arno outside the hustle and bustle of the centre of Florence with a shuttle bus option to get to the centre. Fabulous breakfast options and food quality. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and modern, cleverly designed. Added bonus of a modest spa facility and the outside pool and eating space. All in all a lovely hotel for our break in Florence.
