Ok but doesn’t quite deserve 4 stars Friendly staff and conveniently located in the centre of Rome. The room gave on to a quiet courtyard but the whole thing had a bit of a dilapidated feel. Musty smell of drains, immensely noisy ventilation (even when switched off), curtains slightly falling off, many small flaws in the bathroom like the radiator that was sideways, the shower head that leaked. (Admittedly that was fixed as soon as I informed staff about it) Excessive use of chemical spry to conceal the drain smell even though I informed staff that I am allergic. On the positive side it was Nice to have the pool to cool off in. On the whole my stay was ok but I would rank this as a 3* not a 4* hotel.

Very friendly staff and an absolutely magical environment – the only hotel built in a historic building with a fairytale-like bar, reminiscent of entering an antique palace. The rooms are super modern with everything you need, and the beds are comfortable, though the mattresses are a bit firm, but you sleep incredibly well on them. The pool, oh my, how wonderful it is to have a truly refreshing pool when the temperature reaches 40 degrees – it saved us throughout the entire week. The breakfast is magnificent and has everything you need to fuel up for a great day in Rome. The dinner was also incredibly delicious. The hotel is located a short walk from the center, about a 30-minute stroll to the Colosseum, which is perfectly fine. It is situated in a quiet neighborhood with good restaurants around the corner. Once again, 5 out of 5 points – we would love to come back.

A gorgeous looking hotel that has some issues Hotel itself was quite nice, the lobby area / bar and outdoor area were terrific. And it was fantastic to have a pool available right in the middle of the city. The rooms were spacy and beds were comfortable. That's where the good ends. - Extremely loud road noise in our room, I understand we are in a city and some is to be expected but the windows have essentially no insulation. - Lighting in the rooms is terrible and we had to specifically request a mirror for use in the bedroom as the lighting in the bathroom wasn't suitable - Air conditioning was basically not functioning, it was either on or off and our control panel didn't seem to have any effect? -And one of the most disappointing things that ever occurred to me at a hotel happened here. We checked out of the hotel and left our bags in so we could come back later and get them. We arrived back to the hotel at about 1pm and out of courtesy (I have never had an issue with this before) asked if we were okay to have a dip in the pool to cool off before departing on our 7 hour journey home, we were then told no!!! As if we hadn't just paid hundreds of euros for the past 5 nights. There wasn't even anybody at the pool when we had a look. Truly disappointing and I was furious. Any other hotel I have ever stayed in has allowed use of the pool after a guest has checked out, I could even understand it if was busy but there was nobody else there!!!

June review Very disappointing stay, we were moved 3 times during our stay, due to room faults. I had high hopes for this place with it being 4* and reading others reviews. However, I will say this hotel is very tired, stains throughout the carpet in the corridors and room, shower leaks with mouldy grout. Complained on several occasions and every time I went down to reception someone else was also complaining. I don’t often write reviews but felt I had to with this place. Really disappointing stay.
