The rude girl greeted us with passport and here is your key we are full we can’t give you the room you paid for as the hotel is full? The room was discussing the TV didn’t work the shower screen broken and no hot water ? We had been travelling all day and the response to the cold water was bad luck have a shower tomorrow ? The shower had cold water the next morning as well? The hotel is old and in a dirty part of the city and to far out from the city centre. As a Diamond Accor Member do not stay at this hotel book another hotel near the city centre.

A terrible Hotel, Enter at own Risk. Do not book into this Hotel. Photos are misleading / fraudulent, Hotel is using photos when Hotel was built in 2010, it has deteriorated significantly since then and is extremely tired and rooms were horrible. Hotel is in a terrible location where you don't feel safe, Reception staff are very rude and unhelpful, bedside light was never fixed after several requests (note: Pool Bar and breakfast staff were nice and friendly), room was not Cleaned first day even though sign was displayed on the door, had to wait for food to be topped up (especially scrambled eggs) at breakfast every day, Only had 2 very tatty and torn Umbrellas around the pool. Advertised as 4 Star Hotel but is a 2 Star at a stretch. Only 3 minutes from Hotel and Close to Port, so I can only assume the positive reviews are by those who just stay the night before getting on a ship or a plane the next day.

One of the Worst Hotel Experiences – Completely Misleading! We had one of our most disappointing hotel stays ever at this property in Sardinia. The hotel photos online are completely deceiving — nothing like the reality. The rooms were worn down, tired, and depressing. Paint was peeling off the walls, and the bathroom looked like it hadn't been renovated in years. To make matters worse, the reception staff were shockingly rude and dismissive — borderline racist in their attitude. We felt unwelcome from the moment we arrived, and not once did anyone attempt to offer basic courtesy or help. The poolside restaurant experience was just as appalling. After walking back in the blistering 40°C heat, we asked for ice creams for ourselves, only to be refused — simply because the restaurant was due to open in 30 minutes. No flexibility, no empathy, not even water offered. Breakfast was an absolute joke — incredibly limited, stale, and repetitive. For the amount of money we paid for 4 nights, this was daylight robbery. We’ve stayed in beautiful, welcoming places for half the price. This hotel was, without exaggeration, unbelievably bad. I would strongly advise avoiding it. Sardinia is gorgeous — don’t let your experience be ruined by staying here.

Worst Service ever!! Worst service ever, stay away!!! We had booked a room at the Mercure Olbia for a night‘s stay before our flight back via booking.com. Upon arrival we were told that they didn’t receive a booking and that the fault sits with booking.com. Also they apparently weren’t able to contact us through the system, although they had all the details from booking.com, to tell us about the problem. In a nutshell we were left stranded, no support whatsoever to support us finding another hotel or even just offering us something to drink, eat during this stressful situation …nothing. Just more or less: sort it yourself. We were not the only ones, another couple faced the same misery. Hardly ever seen reception personnel without so much empathy for the situation of travellers. Will definitely avoid the Mercure in the future and recommend you’re doing the same.

Great stay I had a great stay, I highly recommend this hotel! The suite was beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and very well designed. I also really enjoyed the various services offered, especially the massages, the pool, and the breakfast. A big thank you to the breakfast staff, who were particularly welcoming and pleasant!

Great hotel Me and my sister visited 2 weeks ago to beautiful Olbia😍 the hotel is a great location and is close to the local buses & taxis ranks, cafés and little shops. The hotel itself is clean with very friendly staff, the rooms are spacious and have air conditioning which was ideal as it got very hot! Overall it’s a lovely hotel and would return in the future

Plenty of better options in Olbia This tired hotel is definitely not living up to 4*. It looks grubby but it’s surrounded by grubby litter strewn streets and pavements that are dangerous to use, uneven, potholed and narrow. I found it impossible to use the pavement accessing the hotel from the main road. It was so uneven and narrow. The hotel itself! Our room had a security look that buzzed constantly. We had to really bash the door in the 2 second period that it would open after presenting the fob. Walls are paper thin with lots of sounds penetrating our room, children crying, couples arguing. Breakfast was the same awful experience every day. Lukewarm bacon and eggs whether you went early or late. I’m sure the scrambled eggs were dehydrated. Coffee was poor which the manager said was a common comment ( well do something about it mate). On the plus side the airport bus stops 100m from the front door. If you’re good on your feet and only have hand luggage then use the bus. It costs 1 euro.

Won’t go back Rooms were clean and nice. Housekeeping came everyday . The front of house staff (females) are extremely abrupt and rude - not interested in helping at all. The staff in the restaurant for breakfast are always very polite and friendly. The staff give contradictory instructions on what is and is not allowed in terms of using towels , buying drinks and food by the pool . When I requested to PAY for a late checkout I was told the hotel was full BUT when I looked online and saw that I could have booked a room … so clearly NOT full. The staff seem pretty miserable in their jobs generally. There are not enough sunbeds around the pool .
