Great stay with one minor caveat
The hotel is beautiful. The service is excellent. One minor detail for us that come from hot weather and are used to compensating with a/c the room did not have good enough air conditioning. Granted these are old rooms with older systems but for such high price I would have expected more. I had a room with 2 floors and the issue is on the second floor the a/c is not a powerful as the one in the 1st floor. Situation improved when we got a fan. We placed the fan near the biggest a/c and that worked wonders. Besides that everything else was great. Great location close to shopping and sightseeing. i recommend you make sure your room has one floor.

Exceptional stay in Florence!
Location location location. The hotel is centrally located to everything one wants to see in Florence, nothing is more than a 10 minute walk, including all the museums, the Duomo, and every store from high end to tourist. Cartier, Dior, and LV are all on the corner. The hotel itself is a gorgeous, classy boutique style hotel with an old world charm and, if lucky enough to get upgraded to a suite, has two levels and two full bathrooms! The service was exceptional, every staff member goes out of their way to help, to always check to see how you are doing, always with a smile at any time of the day. We were blown away by this hotel, one of the best stays in my world travels. A must stay in Florence, do not think twice!

Literally one of the best!
One of the best hotels I have ever experienced. Understated elegance, ultra professional and completely service oriented. The room was fabulous - Helvetia suite, the restaurant is amazing and the staff are the friendliest and most helpful I’ve encountered - even having had butler service in other luxury resort locations. I would recommend without hesitation. Fantastic!

Luxurious stay @ the heart of Florence
Peaceful, luxurious place in the heart of Florence, the place is amazing, staff are outstanding and very welcoming. Feels safe and sound at all times. You don’t need a car to move around,all restaurants (fine dining and local gems) arm, plazas, and river are walking distance

Fantastic Stay! Brilliant location. Staff unbelievable - made superb restaurant reservations based on local knowledge.
Lovely location right in the heart of Florence. Staff so helpful, particularly with restaurants. Would stay there again. Florence is a beautiful city and well worth another visit - couldn’t see it all in 5 days! Also went to Siena by train for the day, which was excellent!

A real 5* experience
Right out of the taxi the 5 star service began. The concierge and team assisted with restaurant and spa bookings and our luggage was whisked up to our jr suite promptly. The room was gorgeous with plush taffeta curtains and silk wallpaper (we stayed in a Helvetia jr suite). We had a daily turn down service and the room was kept spotless by the cleaning service. The reception team gave us a personal service and Cosmo (?) (we are bad with names) was so attentive and thoughtful. Our 16th wedding anniversary was such a celebration and the hotel really made it so very special. The cafe service was impeccable and well managed. The cafe manager was great with food recommendations and wine pairing. The spice oddity cocktail was very nice if you like a warm margarita! The spa was such a treat and I’d recommend the couples full body massage and the spa generally - it is worth a visit after a busy day of touring. Thank you to the Helvetia & Bristol for such a wonderful experience, we had a lovely time

Great stay in Florence
It was a great stay. I've liked my room so much. The staff was amazing, we had a great amenity ready in the room Upon arrival and some threats for my children. I Will defenetly come back, I cannot reccomend this hotel enough. Florence it's great and having and hotel with this location it's the best choice I could make

A true 5 star all around
Highly recommend. We have been traveling Italy and this is by far our favorite hotel. As an American in Europe, a lot of 5 star hotels fall short, but Helvetia and Bristol is truly 5 star. The front desk and all staff are wonderful. If you’re debating between this hotel and others nearby, stay here!

Mia figlia mi ha regalato un trattamento Spa con accesso ai bagni romani, per il mio compleanno! Mai regalo fu più gradito! Tutto perfetto: le signorine e signore della spa meravigliose, dalla reception alla sala massaggi. Ambiente ricercato, pulitissimo ed elegante. Un luogo di relax e piacevolezza nel cuore del centro storico di Firenze. Non mi pronuncio sui prezzi perché è stato un regalo. Ma ritengo che li valga tutti

Think twice before making your reservation in this hotel! They act like an amateur place. This is not how Bristol treats its customers. I am always staying in 5-star hotels but I didn’t see anything like this before. In their spa center is a manager named Claudia. She is accepting your reservation but when you arrive she tells you that they accepted another customer right before you so if you making reservation do not even bother going to this place because they will not accept you.

Un pomeriggio di benessere a La spa de Helvetia & Bristol; un luogo di benessere nel centro di Firenze. Un’oasi di pace e tranquillità. Una piscina con idromassaggio; sauna, bagno turco, sala del freddo. Ho provato meraviglioso rituale Hammam con il sapone nero e l’olio di Argan, per purificare a il corpo. Un luogo ispirato agli antichi Bagni Romani , ci sono resti romani conservati benissimo che danno un fascino davvero unico a questo luogo. Personale gentile e spazi ben organizzati, con sala relax. Bellissima e super equipaggiata la palestra.

Had a facial detox massage on Saturday by Alessandra and have to say it was marvelous! She is excellent and gave my daughter a full body massage with just the right pressure and tension...she is totally worth it!
