Simply The Best! As a lifetime Titanium member, devout Marriott fan, and avid traveler, JW VCE is bar none. This is a beautiful sprawling, sanctuary set a short boat ride away from the crowds. The service was OUTSTANDING from check in with Stefano, to delicious drinks and food and stunning rooftop views with Leonardo and team , and to Fabio and the security team for helping us get back our passports and a A LOT of cash we left in the safe of our room. We checked out, realized on the train in Bologna and turned around to retrieve. Every passport and euro was there and returned in a very formal, secure manner. This experience, although stressful, ended up being an exciting family adventure in my new favorite city, in one of my new favorite hotels with a happy ending! Highly recommended and can’t wait to stay again! 100% my fault but maybe all hotels should have big signs on the door saying check the safe? 🤦🏻‍♀️

5* serene oasis in lovely but crowded Venice The JW Marriott sits on its own private, lush island right off St Marks. Venice has become extremely crowded with day trippers. Really, really crowded. It is INCREDIBLE to be able to pop in and out of the city on the boat shuttle (fast and runs frequently) to visit in the morning and evening/night but have an easy afternoon escape to the views, gardens, pools (esp the rooftop infinity pool overlooking the city), and serenity offered by the JW Marriott. My boys had originally questioned staying on the island but almost instantly decided that this hotel was beyond perfect. The family rooms and junior suites are a great size. Fitness center is very good. There are fragrant gardens, fields, bike paths, an outdoor movie screen, rooftop bar, everything. Anna at the front desk was VERY helpful. She really went above and beyond. So grateful for her help making the most of our short but fabulous trip! Fab, fab spot to watch the fireworks and skip the chaos of town. The entrance via boat is magnificent and the ride back to the airport was lovely. Highly recommend.

ok nice hotel away from the bustle. We only stayed 1 night. It was a nice stay. Not at all 5 star ~ perhaps 3-4. I'm platinum with Marriott ( earned~ not CC spend)... no earlier check in as requested. 3 PM on the dot. Just a busy place in July with many tourists and the staff was nice but overwhelmed.

Not up to JW Marriott standard in my experience The experience did not match the brand . As a gold member with over 400 nights in Marriott I have lived the spectrum of what they offer . This was not a five star elite experience . I stayed here 6 years ago and it was impeccable . Not the case now , the room was tired and the bed , I could feel the springs . The curtains are torn , the shower door doesn’t close , the closet doors are broken and don’t close …. They also cater to large cruise ships now - so the lobby is full of cruisers all at once and the elegance is gone …….the roof top dining was a fiasco . Generally , I am sad about the experience at $800 a night , but thankful I only Booked two nights and not five like I had planned ……it is in dire need of management and renovation. There was no hospitality , the staff seemed very uninterested which reflects poorly in management . We won’t be back .

Great home base when in Venice Great service from housekeeping to food & beverage teams. Great location with easy access to and from St Marks square. Great meals at Sagra on the rooftop. And breakfast was easy for everyone with the expansive buffet items. Hotel did great job coordinating transport and other private tours.

Fantastic experience at JWM Venice Service staff was great. Above and beyond- little things-offered to bring us ice (instead of directing me to the ice machine). The pool guy was very attentive. The water taxi rides were always on time. The food was excellent. We got room service- my wife had already ordered and Andre delivered her order (margarita pizza was dry tasty- as if they created the tomato sauce from scratch ). Andre asked what I wanted- I couldn’t decide from the menu- I told him what I was in the mood for and he had the chef create a pasta/chicken veggie dish with cream sauce - It was fantastic.

Wonderful hotel - made our honeymoon perfect We have just spent 5 nights in this fantastic hotel. We were on our honeymoon so the first delightful touch was an upgrade from a Junior Suite to a La Rezidenza room with a plunge pool. In the room was a complimentary bottle of Prosecco and we were given another of these later on in the stay too. Just lovely little touches. Everything about this hotel is exquisite. The grounds are beautiful, the staff are charming and cannot do enough for you. The breakfast buffet is excellent, it can get busy but hardly surprising for such a large hotel. The shuttle to Venice is organised and efficient and runs every 30 mins until 12.30am meaning dinner in Venice is easy. Rooms are airy and clean and the air con works properly! There is just nothing to fault at this hotel. They made our honeymoon so very special. Thank you x

Disappointed This hotel was booked for us through our Viking package, so I want to clarify that we had no choice in where we stayed for the weekend. On our own, we would have chosen elsewhere. Check-in took us over an hour, though there were several hosts milling around the area. Problem cases should be moved elsewhere so that other guests could be moved quickly through the lines. Also, the room was sparse-not a single picture on the wall. Even more annoying - there was not a single drawer to be had-so we had to live out of the suitcases! We had high hopes based on the hotel's marketing, but were very disappointed.

I had an exceptional experience at the spa. The full-body massage was perfect, and Elisa, the masseuse, did an outstanding job. Highly recommend this place for anyone seeking relaxation and well-being.

Absolutely lovely experience using all the spa facilities! I have been to many and haven’t had a good steam and sauna room like them. Downfall would be no hot tub and some of the jets wouldn’t turn on. Lovely and private not over crowded. Feels like you have rented it to yourself. Great value for money. On arrival the hosts were polite. Again we had some issues with being miss sold treatments so just make sure you ask about pricing as they like to add things on at a cost of 50-100€ a pop. Over all it’s definitely worth a visit. You get a free boat across too which is a bonus. Would have given 5* if it wasn’t for the price issues at the end. Although they did discount the spa use due to miss communication through staff which was a nice gesture. Thankyou

We had the whole spa area alone for us on a Tuesday. Called 2 hours before to make the appointment for 3 hours and it was no problem. Took the shuttle boat to the hotel area (for free). The spa is very modern and clean designed & the staff/service was as friendly and helpful as possible. Worth its *****

The hotel itself is very nice, great links to the city and plenty to do with kids The part that ruined the stay was the rooftop restaurant. First day was ordering drinks at the rooftop bar which were completely forgotten and left us to simply walk away, but also the next night when we were seated outside and within 5 minutes has over 15 mosquito bites which there was no warning of, or protection from. The advice to ‘buy bug spray from the pharmacy’ at 9:30pm was especially helpful.
