Great location, welcoming staff Our family of four stayed in a suite which was very spacious and had two bathrooms- perfect when you have two teenage daughters. The room was very quiet and the location is perfect. It’s walkable from the train station and all the main sights. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Very enjoyable stay We stayed for six nights at Hotel Number Nine. It is a relatively new hotel. Service is great and the rooms were very nice. The few requests we made were dealt with in minutes. We had a junior suite and were able to open the french doors to a mini terrace for light and fresh air. The breakfast was very good and offered quite a few healthy options. The staff each morning were extremely friendly and helpful. It was a highlight of the day to be welcomed by them. The gym would be the best we have found in Florence. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel for its location, the quality of staff and the beautiful room.

Perfect little hotel! Cute little hotel close to city center. I stayed in the “cosy” room, which was absolutely perfect. It was bigger than I expected with plenty of space. It was quiet with everything you would need. I will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Yes! Yes! Yes! Number 9 is an Incredibly convenient Florence hotel strategically placed in the middle of the tourist-frenzied historic sights. Step inside and magically peace and calm prevail. Our deluxe, incredibly soundproof, spacious room contained an unexpected double bathroom with a central walk-in shower. No more sharing. Just like home. Need softer pillows? No problem. The multi-talented staff answered questions and noted locations on the hotel’s detailed paper map. Last-minute dinner reservations were made with a smile. Brandolino was our favorite. A national taxi strike didn’t spoil our stay. The staff provided detailed directions guiding us through the underground tunnel to the train station making our trip almost too easy. Great experience.

Just book it This hotel is beautiful. Small, friendly, and located perfectly. We walked all over florence and found our hotel to be in the perfect location. We paid for breakfast included and it didnt disappoint. You get a lovely tray of pastries and then can also order off a menu. The bed was comfy, the staff were lovely, and we really enjoyed our stay. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Gentilissimo Sig. Un caro saluto Andrea Policari - Senior Manager House of Nine

Perfectly located for a stunning luncheon ~beautiful environment .. splendid kitchen work! By chance having visited the nearby Medici Chapels, I noticed a sandwich board promoting this adventurously-decorated hotel's lunch-only fare -- yes they ONLY offer lunch here! Charmingly set in a fully-glazed, stylishly-conceived& appointed courtyard pavilion, here's the absolutely perfect place to enjoy a luxuriously delivered light lunch at a most reasonable price ...one of Florence's best kept secrets dare I now admit - me now telling everyone about it ! I was offered a seat at an exquisitely-set table complete with luxe linens, delightful & whimsical table accoutrement surrounded by even more charming touches of stylish whimsy such as one more readily expect of a Four Seasons standard..& with very high pricing! Not at House of Nine ! My en petite- but perfectly-sized - Spaghetti with White Ragu was utterly delicious...for which they only asked E12 ! .. there wasn't any coperto charged ~ even though stunning bread & top quality oil was provided earlier in the proceedings, along with the condiments ... to complete my lovely solo experience I topped things off with a lovely little Spring Leaf Salad. This refreshing junior was just E4! Attentive & well-articulated table service was a bonus greatly appreciated by me..I loved this marvellous treat at Number Nine so very much! SERIOUS Quibble: when a hotel aims this high --& nearly delivers perfection-- why would they seat me next to a clever vase that inexplicably was left full of >>dead flowers ..? Likewise management should ban their staff taking SMOKING BREAKS in the petite courtyard --- hasn't anyone realised this gorgeous pavilion has clear glass walls ?>> it is NOT edifying patrons having to observe seeing various line ups of staff members relaxing on banquettes with cigarettes hanging from their their faces ...whist diners are apparently not expected to mind having to watch this ugly display whilst enjoying their elegant lunch & drinking their fine wines.. NOT ON!

Bugs in Bed, No internet, and Shower wasn't working We had a terrible experience at this hotel. Do not stay here! Stayed here for 2 nights. The internet wasn’t working the entire time we were there. Our shower wasn’t working the first night. Then I was bitten by a bug in bed, which caused a severe skin reaction and the supervisor was completely disrespectful. We notified hotel staff of this immediately when it happened, but it was ~1:30am so and they said would let the supervisor know & they would handle it in the morning. When we went to check out in the morning, the supervisor didn’t apologize and told us it was impossible for there to be bugs in the bed (even though we had pictures & showed the staff proof that night). They refused any sort of compensation or refund.

Absolutely stellar The only complaint I have about staying at Number Nine is that it spoiled me for the rest of my trip. We had come from Paris, and this was our first stop during our first trip to Italy. It was such a huge contrast to the hotel in Paris, where the staff barely acknowledged us and certainly wouldn't go above and beyond for client service. We almost didn't know how to handle the incredible service that was apparent from the moment we stepped in the door. Prosecco upon arrival. A sit-down with the lovely signorina from the front desk to discuss what our plans were in Firenze and how to accomplish them. A tour of the hotel and all of the incredible amenities available. And the room - boy do I regret not spending more nights here. It was the best sleep I got on the entire 2-week trip. Incredibly quiet, spacious, clean, posh and comfortable - what more do you need? Oh, maybe breakfast? Don't get me started. The food was wonderful, but I'm still dreaming about the fresh-squeezed blood orange juice, which the lovely woman in the restaurant realized I enjoyed, so much that she brought me an additional huge glass and remembered me the second morning as well. This was the most memorable hotel on our trip and there's no question we'll stay here again on future visits to Firenze.
