The BEST hotel we have ever stayed at! In all our travels this is easily the best hotel we have ever stayed at! The attention to detail and the staff was unreal! Placed at the top of the Spanish Steps made it a very walkable destination to all the touristy attractions. From the time we checked in, we were greeted with the biggest smiles and the most helpful positive staff. We enjoyed the breakfast upon arrival on their beautiful terrace. Setting the happy tone for our family vacation. We stayed in the family junior suite and it was DREAMY! Spacious rooms, balcony, and bathrooms. The turn down service at night was top notch. When we returned after a long day of walking in the heat there were mats with slippers laid out at our bedside, with lavender night cream, and 2 different bottles of water. Another nice touch was the welcome gift of plums, champagne, cookies, and a sweet note! Concierge was more than accommodating and the door staff were so kind and helpful to get taxis or directions. The staff was very attentive. We enjoyed the rooftop bar almost every night. The drinks were so good and the DJ gave a fun vibe. If you are in between this hotel and another one, I can whole heartedly say THIS IS THE ONE! You won't be disappointed!

THE 5*L in Rome Number one hotel in Rome for so many reasons, but I would definitely rate the staff as the added value. Greatest experience to celebrate my anniversary and to propose to my girlfriend. I will always treasure this moment and thank the whole staff for their incredible support.

Memorable views, location, and service - thanks for the suggestion Family Stallone show! We stayed as a couple in the Roma Suite with Terrace along with our daughter and a friend in a King suite on the same hallway. Our Terrace was spectacular - a 360 degree view of the city of Rome. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a study in addition to a Bedroom and large living room. The location at the top of the Spanish Stars was perfect for our trip. Room Service breakfast each morning was excellent, and we truly enjoyed sitting outside each evening enjoying the view. We were inspired by the Family Stallone reality show to visit this hotel - it exceeded exceptions!

An Unforgettable Stay Let me start by saying that the hotel is located in one of the most central places in Rome, just a 2-min before the Spanish steps, and is one of the most beautiful properties I have visited so far. Moving to the people, that make the hotel so great from the concierge with Ben (I think) and Andrea who introduced me and my sister to the hot spots of Rome, to the gentleman at reception desk who did our check-in and Eva at check-out, and the bar team at Cielo Terrace, everybody was so friendly and accommodating and made us feel like an extended part of their team. The housekeeping service was immaculate and the drinks at the bar were so delicious, we had to come back every night just for them. All in all it was an amazing experience and it made my time and my sister's first time in the Eternal City unforgettable.

Fabulous views, excellent service Amazing views, great service, and for non residents we were treated with exemplary courtesy whilst stopping off for a drink at the roof top terrace bar. So much so we stayed and had lunch. Yes it was pricey, though the food, drinks, snacks, and linen used during our visit were excellent. Thank you to all the hotel employees from the Commissionaire to the bar hospitality team. You made us feel welcome from the moment we asked if we could have a drink at the hotel.

Fashionable comfort Fashionable hotel in a beautiful spot just at the top of the Spanish Steps. The rooms were elegantly decorated and the staff welcoming. We felt very comfortable in the two floor superior room. The concierge is extremely helpful and responsive.

Experiencia gastronómica excepcional Recientemente cené en el restaurante Cielo en el Rocco Forte Hotel de Ville en Roma. La hospitalidad de Massimiliano y Antonio fue excepcional. La comida y las bebidas fueron excelentes, cada plato era unico. El menú ofrece una variedad de opciones para satisfacer todos los gustos. El servicio fue atento y me hizo sentir como un huésped valioso. Además, el restaurante cuenta con una vista única sobre Roma. Estoy encantado de haber tenido esta experiencia y estaría feliz de volver en cualquier momento. Recomiendo encarecidamente el restaurante Cielo para una experiencia gastronómica excepcional.

Per noi il miglio hotel di roma Che dire.....sublime! Eccellente in TUTTO: abbiamo soggiornato in una camera su due piani a dir poco strepitosa, pulizia eccellente e dotata di qualsiasi confort! Siamo stati lì per celebrare il nostro matrimonio. Il personale è stato impeccabile sotto ogni aspetto. Un ringraziamento particolare a Emanuele che ci serviti al tavolo durante il pranzo, attento a ogni piccolo dettaglio (cibo eccellente). E un ringraziamento al manager food and beverage Gabriele, che ha esaudito ogni nostro desiderio. Ogni necessità è stata soddisfatta in tempi brevissimi compresa la richiesta uno specchio a figura intera all'ultimo minuto per la sposa recuperato in 5 Min. Il top per noi a nella città più antica. Esperienza DAVVERO super.

Hotel top Hotel spettacolare da tutti i punti di vista. Confort top, posizione top, pulizia top. Siamo stati per festeggiare il nostro matrimonio ed ogni nostra richiesta è stata esaudita. Addirittura ci hanno recuperato in un lampo un paio di stampelle per un amico in difficoltà. Mi sono sentita come una principessa nel proprio castello. La cerimonia è stata sublime, il cibo ottimo. Un grazie particolare a Emanuele che ci ha servito al tavolo e al vicedirettore Gabriele che è stato come il capitano della nostra nave pronto a guidarci senza guardarsi indietro e a supportarci in tutto. Wonderful family stay at DeLaVille and RoccoForteHouse Family of eight that stayed at Hotel de la Ville and Rocco Forte House (spacious L/R, kitchen and a washer/dryer). We are regulars at De La Ville due to its consistency and reliability. The accommodations are terrific and the staff is superb at both sites. Would mention many names but fear leaving out someone. Highly recommended for individuasls or families for either short or long stays.

L’hôtel de la ville Surplombe Rome Très bel hôtel, avec une déco très cosy avec de grand espaces, salons à différents étages. Un peu comme une grande villa. Choix de restaurants à l’intérieur comme au rooftop avec une vue exceptionnelle sur Rome à 360°. Une tres bonne cuisine italienne avec des produits riches, en saveur et authentiques. Très belle carte des vins. Le petit déjeuner est surprenant de par l’éventail de produits frais sucrés ou salés préparés maison. Il y avait même du beurre de baratte en portion individuelle !;) J’ai cru entendre qu’un grand chef de renommée était derrière les fourneaux ! Le service est très souriant de l’accueil au room service en passant par le bar et les restaurants. Le directeur est d’un abord très sympathique et solaire, Il veille à ce que tous ses clients soient aux petits soins à chaque instant ! Le service voiturier au cœur de Rome est vraiment très efficace , aucune attente et l’accueil est très chaleureux!

A Memorable Stay This is an outstanding hotel. The rooms are beautifully designed and extremely comfortable, and the staff is exceptional particularly Stanislav who gave me a tour of the hotel, ensuring I could take full advantage of all its features and amenities. The rooftop bar and restaurant offered stunning views of Rome, and the internal courtyard where breakfast was served was especially beautiful. Surrounded by the hotel's building, the trees and flowers, and the red-amber parasols made it a wonderful place to relax and start the day. The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was delightful. I had an amazing experience. I recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a memorable stay. I believe this is the best hotel in the city and one of the best in the world.

I don’t like this hotel I stayed for three days (at well over €6500) and was put in a room under the bar/restaurant. The room had an unusable terrace because the commercial size air-conditioning duct that was there made a loud commercial-size noise. The scraping of the chairs above and the wafting smoke was awful. Whatever they did up there made the room shake a bit, just momentarily but often. The staff were well trained but no more than any good hotel and said they were sorry that I experienced this. (But.. tough). They added €115 to my bill as an ‘appreciation tip’. The picture advertised for the junior suite has a lovely view over Rome. When I enquired if I could have a room with a view, they told me there was only one. 613 perhaps? Talk about false advertising…. I’ve stayed at The Hassler before and I honestly I really prefer it. I only changed this year as my travel concierge suggested it.

Roma ❤️ Sono stata a cena venerdì, per la prima volta al ristorante , una terrazza bellissima che affaccia su Roma, ci hanno dato un tavolo forse uno dei più belli con una vista incantevole. Il servizio è stato veloce e di qualità, il personale molto gentile,sorridente e disponibile. Siamo stati serviti da una cameriera napoletana, Antonella, molto attenta e premurosa, ma tutto lo staff lo era! Ho avuto l’onore di conoscere lo chef Christian , che ci ha spiegato con molta passione i suoi piatti, invogliandoci a ritornare. Tutto molto curato e delizioso, ho apprezzato tantissimo lo spaghetto al pomodoro fatto con amore e lo gnocco alle vongole. Un ambiente caloroso che consiglio di provare !

Beautiful hotel in great location; just watch out for extra fee This hotel is in a great location near the top of the Spanish Steps. Our top-floor room had a balcony where we could look out over the rooftops and see the dome of St. Peter's. The room itself was also very comfortable, with a nice bathroom, good closet space, and sleek furnishings. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the courtyard. We also had great drinks at their Cielo Terrace Bar, and made a light meal out of the "small bites" menu there. Service was friendly across the board. We're knocking off one star because of the 5% "discretionary service appreciation" charge on our bill. The charge wasn't listed on the website or in our confirmation email, and it wasn't mentioned at checkin or checkout. We had seen this fee in our previous stay at this hotel's sibling property in Florence, but since we didn't know who it went to, we still tipped housekeeping and porters in cash. The lack of transparency gives us a less favorable impression of the Rocco Forte hotel brand.

Excellent property with a great location Excellent location, spacious rooms, delicios food. The property is stunning with a lot of details everywhere. Beautiful view from the roof restaurant. Great breakfast in the garden. Service was amazing, thank you so much for such a great stay!!

Modern Roman holiday I didn’t review for years but this stay in hotel de la ville was so exceptionally enjoyable and pleasant that I have to share the great experience I had in the hotel. Frederico Chau and team were all so efficient and friendly, the service was excellent, a great example of Italian warmth and cheerful hospitality. Food and beverages were also good, staff all friendly and terrace bar has great vibes, good drinks and beautiful view.
