We stayed at the hotel this week,
and we left with a negative experience—left with a bitter taste regarding our lack of safety and the invasion of our privacy.
During our stay, jewelry was stolen from our suitcase inside the room.
The suitcase had been locked, but the zipper pulls were broken off. After the front desk shift manager inspected and photographed the scene, and a computer check revealed that only the housekeeper had entered—spending 19 minutes cleaning the room—the hotel's General Manager ultimately told us that the housekeeper hadn't taken anything, that there was nothing they could do, and that if we wanted, we could file a police report... There was absolutely no willingness to help or to offer compensation for the distress caused.
It was sheer disregard... Today it happened to us; tomorrow it could happen to someone else...
Location a negative and not as new as looks
Modern hotel located in an industrial area so not very close to the historic city centre (3.5kms) so need to use the complimentary bus with limited times. The room was spacious but lacked modern amenities like Nespresso machine, English TV channels and streaming. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the bar and restaurant not bad either.
Clean room and good beds. My only but big complaint is that the bathroom sink did not drain. I called the front desk to have it fixed. A few minutes later a maintenance person came and tried to fix but he could not. He said another person will come and fix with the proper tools. An hour later, another person came and attempted to fix but he couldn’t, so he said he will have an associate fix the next morning. The next morning and afternoon passed and the sink drainage problem is still not fixed. The front desk is not even taking ownership of this problem and is brushing it off and saying someone will come fix it soon. What a joke! I am filing a formal complaint of the poor level of service.
