Mark, a SERVICE TECH, went above and beyond to fix our AC unit. We had a window in which we had to wait today, but then when he showed up, he handled it himself and got us up and running WAY past working hours. And he did everything wth a Super Positive attitude as well. THANK YOU Mark! I honor your hard work and your service towards others.

Initially, everything was great in terms of customer service when we were sold this unit on July 2022. They really sold us on how they are the best in customer service. June 2024 our unit stops working. It cuts in and out and we have to call to schedule a technician. We were told they would be out the next day. The next day comes and no one shows up. We call again and learn we were actually never scheduled and they will get us on the schedule for the following day. Perfect, fine. Then they did not show up again! Followed up and we were yet again "not on the schedule". This should have been the biggest red flag ever. Trips to our house: 1. Tech comes out, says he can't find a problem but it was running so we were good. 2. Unit cuts out again, tech comes out and says it is dirty filters. Fine, changed the filters. 3. Unit cuts in and out again. Third time tech comes out and says it was the condensation line. He cleared that out and said we should be good. 4. Unit cuts in and out again. Seasoned technician comes out and says they ran the drain line wrong and it is tripping the float switch. Need to have them rerun the line. Fine. While waiting for this scheduled service, my husband REMOVES the float switch so at least we can keep a consistent running AC. GO FIGURE, the unit continues to cut in and out. My husband started calling the office on Wednesday to request a manager call him back. He was told someone would be in contact. He called again later in the day to make sure. Surprise - no call. My husband called on Thursday asking for a manager to call him back because no one called yesterday. He was told the manager would call. Surprise - no call. My husband called on FRIDAY asking for a manager to call him back because none has called Wednesday or Thursday. Surprise - NO CALL. My husband called on Saturday asking for a manager to call him back and FINALLY Jesse decided to call. No explanation other than he was dealing with other (obviously much more important) customers. 5. Technician comes out AGAIN and says we have a bad condenser on top of the drain line that still needs to be rerun so now we will need to charge $3300 to replace the condenser because while the unit is super freaking new, labor isn't covered. NOTHING can be assured that this new condenser will not also be a problem. Can literally have to replace every month and will need to pay this ridiculous amoutn for labor and refrigerant. At this point, I called my home warranty to see if they would cover the labor cost and thankfully they would. They sent out a technician who placed a hard start kit on our current unit (OneGuard for the win - $75 charge total) - something Precision mentioned once and only to say it would b $400 in labor to install. Unit has been perfect since. My husband called to let Precision know that we actually do NOT need a new condenser because it wasn't the problem but we STILL need them to fix their drain line and he is told no problem but we are keeping $495 because you CANCELLED A SCHEDULED SERVICE. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!? What type of shady business are we stuck with? They are STILL coming out for the same day. We just did not need the condenser replaced because it is not broken and furthermore, we would not have agreed to even sign up for the service if they had not incorrectly diagnosed the problem with the unit THEY installed. RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. They are going to do nothing but charge you astronomical labor costs.

Our tech James was superb. He was friendly and courteous but must important meticulous and trustworthy. He was transparent, provided photos and did not try upselling uneaded services. He was so good, I purchased a 5 year maintenance agreement.

This company need to work on scheduling system .the unit has started making a loud noise .we asked for a tech to come out and check. the tech had an emergency 2 schedule they were suppose to come out 7:00 am...@7:00am no show no call.... finally showed up at 8: pm
Reply from Precision Air & Plumbing 2024.07.22
Hi Nellie, Thank you for your feedback. We understand that the delay was frustrating, and we apologize for any inconvenience it caused. Our scheduling system prioritizes emergency calls on weekends, which is why we focused on customers with units completely down and not providing any cooling. Since your unit was still functioning, we had to adjust our priorities accordingly. Unfortunately, some jobs can take longer than expected, which can push back the timeframes for later appointments. We are sorry you were not updated accordingly. On a positive note, our technician confirmed that the noise your unit was making is normal. It relates to the unloader and scroll plates inside the compressor and isn’t a cause for concern. The system is operating normally, and we’re glad to hear that you’re satisfied with the resolution. We appreciate your understanding and patience. If you have any further concerns or need additional assistance, please reach out to us directly.

AC repairs and refrigerant Let’s start with their website: “The valley’s only 100% Money Back Guarantee” and the owner’s quote of “integrity and honor”. Precision Air needs a refresher on the definition of integrity. I’m a 22 year veteran of the armed forces and been involved in three conflicts and I know specifically what integrity and honor means! This travesty started 25June2024 when Mark (tech) arrived and informed us that a part was broken causing the refrigerant to leak, consequently our AC unit was blowing ambient air. The estimate was $3639 for the labor only (we had the extended warranty for parts). Knowing zero about air conditioning we agreed to have the work done in two days and paid the full amount right there. The tech offered to put a full charge in the unit and was told that should last us until the repairs could be done at NO CHARGE. (It lasted less than 12 hours). However , with the use of social media and our neighbors we were told to get another estimate which we did and found the repairs for almost half as much. Within 24 hours we cancelled the repairs and ask for the refund to be returned to our card. The receptionist said that we have to speak with the tech and the General Manager (Ray) before a refund would be processed. It took over two weeks to speak with the GM, because of playing phone tag and I’m still wondering why it takes a tech to call us and the GM to call us to refund our money for work that was NEVER DONE! Since we weren’t using Precision Air for the repairs, the GM stated that I have to pay $1100 for the refrigerant that WAS NOT AUTHORIZED. If we were told upfront that the penalty for not using their company would be the charge for refrigerant in a leaking unit I would have held off, but who in AZ would refuse some relief when it was ~108 outside. I explicitly made that clear to Ray and he refused to “eat” the cost of the refrigerant. If that is their policy, then it needs to be clear in their estimate. This company needs ZERO stars!

Excellent communication and Dustin’s team left things cleaner than before. Swept out garage and sidewalk and even upgraded the trim on both attic access points. All 3 installers were dressed in company attire which doesn’t seem like much but the attention to detail should and is worth something. All three also remembered our names and that of our dog and after a 10 hour day, where we weren’t even there, that says a lot about the quality of employees they are.

Poncho was our service rep and he is very customer oriented and was very knowledgeable. He sets you at ease. It took 6 days to get him out as he was the only tech that could work on our unit. Ask for Poncho and you Will be glad. Mitchell and his partner were very polite and professional. They took around and explained everything in detail. All furniture was well protected during the cleaning and they explained all before and after pictures. Precision representatives have all been polite and professional and customer oriented. The office staff have always been the same and responsive.
