First time in, won't be back.
Starting with a dead bug in my napkin- was shocked to read that another reviewer had the same experience. May be time to fix that. I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp and they were horrible. I've never tasted anything so rubbery and the bacon was burned. Something so simple, so awful.
I've been alive awhile and have eaten regularly, often in restaurants. Also, I've lived in Mexico so I'm familiar with Mexican food. I have to say that an early dinner this evening at Pezcow was among my most memorable bad meals in any restaurant. Fajitas with very greasy, gristly chicken, absolutely tasteless white rice, half an avocado which had been sliced probably yesterday---no pico de gallo, no beans, no guacamole, no sour cream...and no flavor anywhere. Husband ordered Camerones Diablo, shrimp overcooked and tough and lots of shells he had to remove, his plate was decorated with the other half of the same brown, dried out slices of avocado I found on my fajitas. I realize we were there slightly before 5:30 and after that business might pick up, but when we were there there was 1 customer at one table eating. Pretty much the entire staff, 3 men and 2 women (including our waitress) were all at one table eating leaving 1 person in the kitchen- our waitress had to keep interrupting her meal to bring us our food. I did wonder, especially after we tasted our food, if maybe they had left the dishwasher in the kitchen to cook it while they were all on their dinner break. Such a disappointing experience. I must say my husband has eaten at the Pezcow in Mitote Park and enjoyed the experience, also we ordered shrimp tacos from the Pezcow food truck at the Healdsburg Dia de los Muertos festival in October and found them very good, but we definitely won't be returning to this Windsor location ever again.
My wife and I ate here a month ago and it was delicious, Pescado Veracruzano was delicious and plenty to eat. She had the Camonrones and felt they were best ever. Service was excellent, and fair pricing. Could not wait to revisit.
The revisit was the issue and why only three stars. It is a 50 mile round trip for us to go here and Sunday after arriving at 2pm only to find out it is closed. Checked web site, open from 10am to 9pm. Called and they said not open until 4pm. That is about $15 of wasted fuel for us to say nothing of the time and disappointment. To make it worse went across the way to Gallo Negro and had poor service and mediocre food. Will not go again without calling to see if they are really open.

Extraordinary place...especially now that restaurants are serving more stupid tweezer food and upping pricing. But Pezcow's menu is so good and affordable! To start with the option of having fresh pork rinds with super fresh Guac was unique. To a low carb person (me) it's a blessing. Then the Molcajete Mariscos at $34 is not only a show, it's a seafood extravaganza. Not to be missed. I had the Octopus Tostada, so fresh and generous, I'm still thinking about it. Our friends enjoyed Chicken Mole Enchiladas and said it was the best mole they have ever had. Pezcow feels like a family restaurant with service to match. Friendly and warm. We will be back!
I loved the ambiance. I loved what I saw on other tables. The spicy fish soup had lots of shrimp and came with delicious homemade tortillas, but the broth was one dimensional (spicy with no flavor - tasted like hot Tobasco water). I will totally go back for something else, just not this dish.
This was my first time at Pezcow. The food was amazing. I ordered Camarones Diablo and it was delicious. We ordered guacamole as an appetizer and it was served with fresh Chicharrones. Wow I hear they have an amazing Sunday Brunch that I'm going to definitely try out! Thanks for the amazing food and atmosphere.

This was our first visit to Pezcow. We LOVED it!
Most of what we ordered was VERY spicy...which we loved.
The service was great. Very attentive staff. You can tell that it is family owned/run, which is great.
The ambiance is family style, with long tables.
Only a few separate tables for those that cannot handle eating with others.
My only Big complaint is that we were hit with a strong smell of cleaning fluid right when we walked in!! Not very appetizing at all. Happy to know that they clean, but they should reconsider their cleaning practices. We smelled it through dinner.
I do believe that we will be back. It was to delicious to miss!
I had flautas mojadas today (wet tacos) and they were delicious.
Pezcow locations works well for me.
The waitress was nice and kind.
The place is clean and tidy.
Service overall was good
Thanks
PS. I forgot to take a pic of the flautas before I ate them, lol
The food was very good, tasty and presented well. The portions were ample and the service was great. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired: it has a dining hall feel with long tables and clinical sense but the food is worth it. The taco was great, my wife had chicken and I had carnitas; they were larger than street tacos and the jalapeno sauce was excellent and the seeds were removed so that it didn't burn your mouth.
Five stars!

It always feels good when you discover a "hidden gem" and Pezcow fits that label perfectly. Located in the Windsor Palms Plaza Pezcow is a large open space restaurant with a series of long community tables. Nice comfortable seating. Pezcow has all the standards that are excellent and also a series of entrees that are innovative and different than your average Mexican restaurant. We went last Sunday evening and thoroughly enjoyed dinner. While looking over the menu we enjoyed the fresh chips and delicious salsa. Could make a meal of this. We both decided to have fajitas, wife had the shrimp fajitas and I had the mix of shrimp, chicken and steak. Both were huge portions and had awesome flavors. It was enough for two meals, a great value. Came with rice and salsa-salad. On a previous visit I had the Chicken Mole which was fantastic and my wife had the Al Pastor pizza (yes, you read correctly) which was scrumptious. Beverages at Pezcow include beer, wine, selection of specialty nonalcoholic Mexican drinks, ice tea and sodas. We had iced tea. Service is relaxed, friendly and helpful. Makes for a nice experience. Pezcow is run by a hard working couple, the love and care really shows in all the food. Honestly I am amazed that people aren't lined up at the door waiting to get in, it's that good! Get there and give Pezcow a try!

Went and had their all you can eat brunch and let me tell you, I am still dreaming of the posole I ate that morning! There was so much to choose from and for the price they charge, it definitely is worth it! I left so full and so happy. It's very rare that you find a place that offers an all you can eat Mexican food bar. I sure hope this opens the door for more Mexican restaurants to follow and offer it. Service was beyond friendly and the restaurant itself is very welcoming and has such upbeat vibes. This was possibly one of the best breakfasts I've had in my whole life.
The food here is as good as it looks. A little bit high on the price side but you definitely get what you pay for, high quality Mexican food with its own character of flavors. This is not your corner bodega, the love and care put into the food is palpable. If you want something special for you me taste buds give this spot a try. Friendly awesome staff, comfortable chairs and tables. Custom and beautiful interior. Amazing copper, wood and tile work all around. First time here, really wanted the fajitas but the seafood here looks to be top notch... Will definitely update when I try it. Exactly what we were looking for. Bomb ass, fire Mexican food. .
