Great family fun, we'll be back!
We went as a family for my son's 9th birthday and tried the free roaming VR session. We all absolutely loved it, especially the laser tag game! We will definitely be back. Staff were really helpful and explained exactly how it all worked. Highly recommended! Thank you 😊
Great staff
My 11 year old girls LOVE the virtual games. I wanted to call out the staff (especially the blonde chap) who are always attentive and supportive. They're great with technical issues but I'm always particularly impressed that they step in to help the kids with the games themselves.
Great experience
Our second time at Player Ready VR did not disappoint. Took children aged 12,10 and 8 and we all had a great time defusing the bomb! The younger two were new to the escape room concept so team working and communication took a while to click in! Staff were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend and will be back.
I would highly recommend these coding / gaming sessions particularly to those with SEN. The difference in my son after just 1 term is massive. I have seen big improvements in his self esteem, confidence, interaction and communication with others in addition to being keen to learn about coding after not wanting to go near a computer. He goes bouncing into the centre every week now with a big smile and loves the VR. All the staff are very understanding and friendly towards him. Thank you

Awesome thanks for leaving a review for us Sheryl and the details of how it’s helped your son.
So much fun and Alex is the best. He really made our experience great ⭐️
Unplanned Visit - enjoyable
Although, it wasn't a planned outing; had to make a detour when we sighted the open doors and walked in. The two gentlemen were friendly and welcoming. The children - their first VR experience did have some helpful tips to enable them settle in. We were given sone generous bonus as well by the kind guy at the console. We intend to come back fully prepared for some more nice outing. Will recommend
Got to say a bit disappointed. We had a party o 6. The first impression are of a very tired premises with ceiling tiles missing and a very dirty carpet. The games were great fun but one of the VR sets on the racer didn't work so we were unable to use.
All in all it cost just shy of £180 for 6 of us for an hour and I can't say its great value for money.

Hello Neil, sorry to hear you didn’t think it’s value for money. I’ve checked your online booking and you paid £160 for the six players - as we charge £27.50 per player for 1 hour gaming.
But you didn’t have a booking for the racing sims - so wouldn’t have been booked to use them without paying extra. But right now they aren’t bookable as a chargeable experience as being updated.
The “missing” ceiling tiles in the VR room are how we access wiring from the PCs which drops down for players and we’ve just installed new ones this week.
Yes the carpet is high on the list of our refurbishment as we continue to improve the venue for our guests. But our main focus is on the games.

Unfortunately a really disappointing experience. My friends and I visited yesterday, and the games very complicated to play, and few clear instructions were provided to us. Whilst the staff were friendly and approachable, we didn’t feel we were provided the necessary support, and we struggled to understand how to navigate the games, and interact with the interface. We made clear on numerous occasions that we were struggling to understand how to play the games, and occasional advice was given. Around 10 minutes before the session ended we were put into a simpler zombie game which was easier far easier to navigate, however as soon as the hour was up we were asked to leave. We were quite surprised we weren’t offered to stay longer given the complications, especially as the next party wasn’t due until later the afternoon.
As newbies to virtual reality we didn’t really feel we got our moneys worth out of the experience, and would advise using far simpler game modes for players not familiar with VR. If harder games modes are to be used the staff should make sure everyone is comfortable and understands how to play.
