Will is amazing! He really knows what he’s talking about and what he’s doing. He’s very passionate about guiding you to train your dog with positive reinforcement and love. Our reactive Springer Millie has come a long way with Will’s guidance. Even though we are not always as consistent as we need to be, we/she have learned a lot and we will continue to implement all of the great stuff Will has taught us. He is accessible and cares about your dog.

I needed a mobility-balance dog, but $50,000.00 was not in the budget. We went to Maricopa County Care and Control and found a large but skinny dog. He was at least nine-years old and looked into my eyes with kindness. I wanted him.
At home we fed him Farmers Dog and treats of meat. In eight weeks he gained twenty pounds. His veterinarian pronounced him to be a good weight and healthy. He was a happy boy and ready for training. We hired Phoenix Dog Training to train him. Charley was ready to work in four months and didn’t have to leave home for his training. He was trained with kindness and love.
It’s been three years since we took Charley home. Charley helps me navigate outside my home, up and down curbs, stairs, over cracked parking lots, and bumpy sidewalks. He is welcomed in every office, store, and restaurant. He never barks (except at home), obeys his twenty-three commands, and understands twelve hand signs. He went to a concert today with us. We couldn’t love him more. A trained service dog is a blessing.
Kathy, there must be a huge misunderstanding. I never suggested that your dog be euthanized. on December 27th at 8:08 AM, you sent me a text message asking if we could talk, and I replied that I could call you at 8:30 AM. During our subsequent phone conversation, you stated that you felt you needed to euthanize your dog, and that you and John could not continue. I want to be absolutely clear: at no point did I ever recommend that you euthanize your dog. In 35 years of working with aggressive dogs, I have only recommended euthanasia in three cases, and this was certainly not one of them.
Because you brought up the possibility of behavioral euthanasia, my responsibility was to provide you with comprehensive information. After our phone call, I sent you the in-depth guide on behavioral euthanasia (https://phoenixdogtraining.com/behavioral-euthanasia), in hopes that with more knowledge, you would ultimately decide not to euthanize your dog. We reached out to Phoenix Dog Training to help with our 5-year-old rescue, Saint. Saint was a stray before we rescued him from the county shelter where he was set to be euthanized for uncontrollable anxious behavior. Because of this, he had severe anxiety and his reactivity to other dogs, people, cars, loud noises, large objects, etc. and it was only getting worse. Taking Saint to the vet, on a walk, or outside of the house for any reason brought so much stress and anxiety not only on us, but of course him as well. So proud of our boy Rocky. He finished his last training and his aggression and people skills gotten so much better!
Rocky (Husky and German shepherd) has high energy, anxiety, aggression, he’s stubborn, lunges, and likes to nip a lot. Went through 4 different places with numerous trainers. At 4 months, we were warned he is going to be a handful and we’ll have to pretty much turn our lives around if we decided to keep him.
We tried all kinds of training from group classes, personal training, 30 day boot camp which they end up just keeping the deposit and didn’t want to take the rest of our money because they couldn’t train him. Another place advise us to euthanize him. He was 11 months at that time 😭😡. We felt hopeless.
Did some research on dog aggressive trainers and found phoenixdogtraining.com. They talked about board/training, anxiety, fear, aggression and what really popped out was their quote, “PLEASE BEFORE YOU PUT YOUR DOG DOWN CONTACT US. WE CAN HELP WHERE OTHERS CAN’T” Got introduced to Jordan and been working with him since June 2021. He gave us hope. We did half training at home and the other half at the park. Rocky is so much better and we’re not afraid to bring him around people. We know how to train people to be around him and what not to do around him.
We just had to find the right trainer that deals with these kind of dog personality/behaviors, take what we learned, train him, and give him lots of love!! Still need some work and consistent training but he’s a good boy. Proud of Rocky 🐾 🤍🤎🖤

They make you pay non refundable up front for their “amazing” training. After giving them $5,000 up front non refundable they had us spend hundreds of dollars on shock collars and other accessories some financially backed by them. Then after 3/10 sessions we told them we didn’t like the shock collars and the “training” was giving 0 results they refused to give any money back in good faith and just wanted to set up more sessions. Be wary of any one giving non refundable training vs. money back guaranteed training. I’ll be reporting to the bbb as well they scam you with the non refundable agreement.

I have text message after text message from you canceling your appointments because you did not practice and do the training homework you were given at lessons.
It was very obvious when we came out for the next lesson that you did not do the homework from the previous lesson.
Im sure you did not have good results. Nobody will when they don't do the work.
We have video of training sessions where your dogs are making great progress.
As to "Shock Collars" we gave you alternative tool options and you chose the electronic collar.
By the way you failed to mention we had you sign an agreement that you would only use the electronic collar at very low levels to only get your dog's attention. We tell you specifically do not use the collar to correct. Do not use the collar to punish. We have you sign an agreement.
Secondly we told you immediately when you had hesitation to use the electric collar that was fine we absolutely did not need to use that tool.
Third, we have no financial advantage or interest in any products you may have purchased.
You were never SCAMED. That would be fraud and fraud is a crime. ALL of our training packages are NONREFUNDABLE. It sates this on the website, we tell you over the phone before your purchase. You were sent, read and signed the non refundable training agreement.
Nobody scamed you. You are an adult and made an adult decision. Now you realize it actually takes work which we told you it would be a lot of work and it would be an inconvenience in your life.
We do not refund money because you don't do the work.
There are testimonial after testimonial here that reflect what our training is like when you actually do the work. If you sign up for college classes, and if you don't do the work, or you are no longer motivated, they won't refund your money and we won't either.
Now just for clarity, Anthony P also gave a store a 1 star review because he had to were a mask. (goes to character)
We encourage you to continue your training. Your infant is not safe from your dogs. We encourage you to call the office and get on the calendar.

Nice folks, but zero value added for a $2k service. In five visits, we received about an hours worth of professional training. The rest of the time was spent being lectured to about what to do between visits.
We discontinued the service after they recommended we put the puppy on Prozac and our vet didn’t agree. Granted, the dog did have anxiety. But, it was mainly caused by the e-collar they suggested.
I’m giving the service a 2 instead of a 1 because our trainer was a genuinely nice guy and they seemed committed to quality. In fact, each session ends with a long survey. Once, I mentioned in the survey that I wanted to speak to a manager and I was never contacted. So, I’m sharing our story here.
In retrospect, I recommend using a boarding service if you expect results in a 6 month to a year time frame.
Luckily, our puppy overcame his anxiety and he’s a good boy. I just wish I had invested the $2k elsewhere.
Update: Note the owner’s response. He still has not reached out to us despite my review and request to speak to management. His comment about “doing the work” is uninformed because he hasn’t met us.
Also, “the work” they suggested is issue here. The e-collar and Prozac were rejected by credentialed doctors we consulted. The work we have done outside of their guidance has been much more effective.
Phoenix Dog Training is just fine if you want to be lectured to for 10 hours. But if you want someone to work with your dog, then spend the money elsewhere.
You have to do the work. We have a 100% success rate with clients that do the homework. We did not get awarded the best dog behavior training in Phoenix 9 years in a row for nothing. But if you are looking to have someone train the dog for you, that is not us, we don’t believe in not having the dog owner involved. Jordan is one of the most talented and skilled trainers in the entire United States. He is getting his doctorate in veterinary medicine to be a veterinary behaviorist. Read the other reviews from customers who did their homework and followed are instructions and you’ll be able to get a good idea of what your experience will be if you’re looking to hire PHOENIX DOG TRAINING.
