I’ve been to the heights location a few times and today is likely my last visit. It’s just not as good, fresh, or clean as the location off Eldridge.

Pretty bland Vietnamese food (for Houston). We got the vegan options - rice and tofu and vermicelli. No sauces flavors or herbs. The soup the rice came with was beef broth even though the tofu rice was on the vegetarian menu. The spring rolls were chewy. Also one of the waiters said that the broth for vegetarian pho comes out of a can, not house made!
There are so many better places I’ve been to in Houston. Maybe the meat options were better and the vegan options here are just an afterthought. I wouldn’t be back and I’d recommend any vegans or vegetarians consider another spot.

Pho Ben is the best pho spot we’ve tried in Houston! The #24 combination pho had such a rich, flavorful broth and the spring rolls were perfect. Even with a full house, the service was fast, attentive, and we never had to ask for refills. Definitely worth the drive — our new favorite pho place! 🍜

I have eaten here many times since it opened and will keep going back. I met two friends here the other day and we all agreed that this is probably the best place in Houston to get pho and spring rolls. The banh mi and other dishes are also excellent. The restaurant is spacious and the noise level is low enough so that conversations flow easily.
