This company deserves ZERO stars.
I would not recommend PHI to anyone looking for a feasibility study. This is the company chose by my mortgage broker. Using this company was absolutely the worst decision ever made.
I was told by the associate assigned to manage the study my mortgage company was just trying to "sluff me off" "they will tell you what they want to hear". On a conference call the associated admitted to saying it because he was never asked the question I asked him before. Instead of saying "let me find out orI am not sure", he chose to say my mortgage company was trying to "sluff me off". My mortgage person had a conversation with the OWNER of PHI about the situation and I was told to expect a call from Peter. I got the call from Peter to answer any questions I might have. I didn't have any. I wanted to discuss the treatment I received from his employee. He went on to tell me most commonly asked questions have answers on his website. His wife is not in the industry and she was able to understand the answers. I know how long he has been in business, how many states he does business in, how many employees he has, how long the person I was dealing with for my study has been employed by PHI, etc.
I again pressed to talk about the comments of his employee and he said he hadn't hear about a problem. He 100% absolutely did - my mortgage company had a conversation with him and I later found out my realtor had a conversation with him. I respectfully asked for a partial refund for the awful experience we had during this journey. He said if he found anyone on his team did anything wrong he would see if anything was warranted.
Peter owns a consumer based business. He as well as his team should handle situations with compassion and empathy. When you have an upset customer the last thing you want to hear is how long someone has been in business, how long the specified employee has been with the company and in how many states he does business. It is irrelevant at that point.
The actions of his employee and I have now come to understand is a direct reflection of the poor leadership of the owner of the company

Our inspector, Jack was super thorough! It was a freezing 20 degree day and he spent over an hour outside the house making sure everything looked great, and 2 hours inside! He educated on us everything regarding maintaining the home, things to look out for, and what would be in the report. Couldn’t have had a better experience!
Couldn't have been happier with everyone involved in our project. Scheduling was easy and whenever they needed something or vice versa, it was completed in a timely matter. Our inspector Brian was also on time or early and answered any and all questions we had. We had chosen our own contractor and they worked hand in hand with him to be squared away with the HUD process. Thank you again PHI!!
They messed up my bid from my contractor and gave him another 14k on top of his renovation bid. The hud inspector and loan depot is not on the side of Veterans. To all vets find someone else. The hud inspector from PHINJ doesn't know what they are doing, they are costing me 14k. Unreal. Do not use any of these companies. They don't stand behind Veterans.
As first time home buyers, taking up a huge renovation project was scary. But having PHI monitor and be the middle man to process all paperwork made the whole process much easier. I like that they respond quickly and are well aware of the details of the project. From the get go , they accommodated our timeline , helped us with pre closing paperwork and post closing renovation withdraws. 203k loans and renovations is not scary anymore :)
I just feel like … Professional Home Inspection should have shown more interest and more support and more heart on behalf of the client to really make sure the client is happy and satisfied with the renovation work that is going on
Not just show up take pictures and leave and at the end of the day
The client is feeling short handed ….
I am incredibly pleased to share my positive experience with PHINJ Renovation Consulting. We recently utilized their services for a renovation project for my grandma Ella Mae and mother Janet Williams, and the results have been outstanding.
From the very beginning, the team at PHINJ demonstrated exceptional professionalism and expertise. They took the time to understand our specific needs and preferences, ensuring that every detail related to the loan draws and inspections was handled with care and precision. The renovation process was smooth and well-coordinated, with clear communication and timely updates throughout.
PHINJ’s role in managing the loan draws and inspections was crucial. They ensured everything was in compliance and progressed according to plan. The coordination of draw payments was always delivered within a week of completed signatures, which kept the project moving efficiently. While we hired a general contractor for the actual construction work, PHINJ’s oversight and management of the financial aspects provided us with peace of mind. The loan was financed through CMG Loans, and PHINJ’s coordination with them was seamless, making the entire process stress-free.
The team’s dedication to excellence was evident in their thorough inspections and detailed attention to every aspect of the project. They always listened to any concerns we had and were flexible when we needed to move an inspection date, demonstrating a high level of customer service and commitment to our satisfaction. Their personalized approach made a significant difference and truly set PHINJ apart from other services we have used in the past.
Overall, I highly recommend PHINJ Renovation Consulting to anyone seeking reliable, high-quality renovation consulting services. Their commitment to customer satisfaction and exceptional oversight is truly commendable. Thank you, PHINJ, for making this renovation experience so positive and rewarding for our family.
