Unethical and harassing practices
You constantly inundate me with unwanted contact despite my repeated efforts to unsubscribe. Your so-called prizes are fake, and you fail to deliver on any of your promises. I have even had to file a federal complaint because of your persistent harassment. Your claims and reviews lack credibility, and my experience suggests dishonesty at every turn. Extremely disappointing and frustrating.

I was very happy with my experience with Pershing Square Law Center and I highly recommend them! From start to finish, the experience has been excellent. I’m writing this review before receiving the judgment for my EDD appeal case, but I already feel incredibly grateful for my lawyer Charlie’s representation. I know without a doubt that I would have had no chance without him.
I was able to speak with Charlie three times before the hearing, and he called me immediately afterward to go over everything. You can tell he is passionate about his work, genuinely a good human being with a good heart and a deep aptitude for what he does.
When I first called Pershing Square Law Center, I was assisted right away, and they made it clear that I would be represented on contingency and that I would be not charged a fee directly. The intake process was friendly, concise, and included a brief conversation with the attorney. The intake staff member who handled my call was cordial, clear, and very helpful in completing intake documents.
After the intake, I was pleasantly surprised and truly impressed by the responsiveness of the entire team, especially from Alison and Genecis. Every email and voicemail I sent with questions before my EDD hearing was answered clearly and professionally, usually within 24 hours and never later than 48.
A unique aspect of my case is that it involved an overpayment appeal rather than a denial of benefits. This meant the potential contingency payout for Pershing Square Law Center was very small. Despite that, the team remained consistently responsive, and at no point did I feel that Charlie and the staff at Pershing Square Law Center treated my case as less important than a case with a larger potential for a payout.
While writing this, I noticed some negative reviews. I can only speculate that those may come from people with highly emotional expectations of being guaranteed a big payday. My experience has been nothing but excellent, ethical, and professional from beginning to end. I

The absolute worst experience ever!! They knew as my case had been filed late, they would have my appeal dismissed, yet they lied & told me I had a good case. They also filed the paperwork incorrectly to by themselves more time for me to make more payments to them, the payments they said I could be refunded if I lost my case, which we did lose.. then pershing square tells me that there will be no refund because of the appeal filed was too late.. which they knew would occur.. pershing square is a bunch of snakes, & crooks!! They told me they would help me, but instead all they did was steal from me, & waste my time. I wish you all the absolute worst!! May every unfortunate event occur to you, & i hope you all suffer!! Save your money, don't utilize their "services"
I would strongly caution anyone considering this firm for an EDD appeal.
I paid $1,250 for representation and genuinely do not know what I paid for.
Almost a month before my hearing, I called with questions and specifically asked to speak with my attorney. I was told I could not speak with him and would have to wait until my prep meeting.
My scheduled prep meeting the day before my hearing never happened. The attorney later apologized and told me it was 100% the firm's mistake because he thought I was a client who had not paid. My actual preparation happened immediately before the hearing.
A week before the hearing, I had uploaded my complete work history, which was critical evidence in my case. It was never submitted to the judge. During the hearing, the judge was surprised to learn that I had provided it and gave us 24 hours to get it submitted.
During the hearing, I did not feel that my attorney was familiar with my case or my evidence. There were issues raised by the judge that he appeared unaware of, and at one point I was so uncomfortable and unsure of what was happening that I actually had to ask, "Are you there?"
After losing, I contacted the firm about a second-level appeal and raised serious concerns about how my case had been handled. The attorney's subsequent voicemail essentially explained that the judge had made her decision and that was "basically it," without explaining what argument or strategy he intended to pursue on appeal.
I hired an attorney because I needed someone to know my case, understand my evidence and advocate for me. That was not my experience with this firm.

Amazing law firm they helped me win my appeal they even called a week later to ask if I needed help with anything else. The follow showed me what an amazing law firm they are and that they actually care about the clients. I would give 10 stars if I could thanks again
I was originally denied my EDD disability benefits in California, but Pershing Square Law Firm, PC stepped in and filed an appeal. They got my temporary disability benefits approved within 30 days. Every member of the firm I spoke to was very professional, and the team was responsive, kind and really knew the process. I highly recommend them if you’re facing a denial.

Unfortunately due to lack of EDD lawyers I had to put my trust in this firm. Even as I fully disclosed my position, Pershing Square failed to fully disclose their end and applied false promises. In my opinion, this firm is taking advantage of people already going through hard times and being the only firm working on these type of issues and cases.
Looking into other reviews; they do seem to block your number. My number was only being directed to voicemail and I had to use a different number to get ahold of the office.
Pershing Square Law Firm, PC is the absolute worst. My case EDD case was handled very poorly and communication was absolutely horrid made me sick to my stomach the way I was treated after I paid my money. Alexis the office manager said she the end of the line when I asked to speak with someone above her.
I wouldn't recommend this law firm to my worst enemy. My case was handled as if it was a very low priority like I was a bum on the street. They basically just took my money because they could.
These people freaking suck. Daphne and the admin girl are the only people to treated me like a normal person.
I have never used a lawyer and this experience was the worst ever.
Instead of telling me "hey we might not win this case you should just pay," they just took my damn money. I'm very disappointed, discouraged and I really feel cheated by this law firm.
Y'all should be ashamed and give me my damn money back.
I highly recommend and appreciate this firm. I had an EDD conundrum very very time consuming and had alot of moving parts. I had no idea what to do when it all started. Everyone's case is different but trust the process. Charlie will fight for you. Charlie and Alison were communicating with me throughout this journey. Thank you Charlie 😊
Misleading and only after money
They completely misled me and only seemed interested in taking my money. They pushed me to proceed with my case, even though it was clear there was no chance of winning. I feel scammed and deeply regret trusting them. Avoid at all costs if you value your time and money!

I wanna start by saying how satisfied and happy I am to have found Pershing law firm They were able to help me get my EDD case resolved results were amazing. Their staff was super friendly, helpful and diligent in their work 10 out of 10 would recommend if you are in need of help with the Edd this firm is who you need

Honestly, Personal law firm is the worst experience I’ve ever had. I paid them $1600 at the guaranteed the refund and they assigned me a lawyer couldn’t tell me how to testify couldn’t tell me anything. Honestly couldn’t call me on the day of the hearing all I got from them was paperwork and no responses they’re unprofessional. They don’t respond and they are a bunch of slicers. Don’t let them fool you when they say they’re going to court apparently it’s not real court guys you gotta pay them $5000 for them to go to real court and then they’ll get back to you in a year when they might win this place is a complete joke. Save your money if you’re just trying to get some money back from the EDD do it yourself because believe me you won’t get your money back zero out of one stars everyone is an animal here and money grabbing animal

Zero starts horrible law firm I got a consolation and wilehm helped me and I talked to a attorney everything was good until 2 days later I was going to give my retainer and I didn’t get paid as much as expected so I told wilehm and he started yelling at me calling me poor pretty much and I asked to speak to a attorney or someone above him he said they won’t be taking my case after all and him and his co workers are blocking me from speaking to anyone above them, they are crappy law firm and they lie and treat people like they are nothing take your business else where.
I hired Perishing Square Law Firm, PC in May 2024 to help negotiate a balance I owed the EDD. They were clear that results weren't guaranteed, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, after their Offer in Compromise was rejected, they promised to continue pursuing the matter and then went completely silent. Calls go straight to voicemail and emails receive no response. The legal outcome aside, the lack of communication and follow-through is reason enough for me to not recommend this firm. If you're dealing with an EDD issue, I'd encourage you to seek representation elsewhere.
The WORST DO NIT USE THESE PEOPLE...
They string you along on the phone with people that are hard to understand that dialect... Then when it comes to your Court Date, with a EDD judge the supposed Lawyer handling your case after waiting mouths DOES NOT SHOW UP... And then when you call the office to complain after losing BECAUSE A PERSIAN SQUARE LAWYER DID NOT SHOW UP TO THE COURT DATE...All the incompetent people in the office say is, oh, i'm sorry too bad. TRUST ME USE ANOTHER LAW FIRM.
GHOSTED for a scheduled prep meeting, the day prior to EDD Appeal hearing! And received an auto email "If you didn't hear from us..." so it's standard practice!?! The whole purpose of hiring an attorney is SUPPORT, and PREPARING for COURT!!

To all the people complaining about how little the attorney does during the hearing you shouldn’t, because in these cases, all the judge really cares about is your testimony and your opponents testimony if there are any, it is not criminal defense stuff. Daniel did a tremendous job helping me prepare and I was nailing the judges questions.
At last, thank you guys so much again. This is the end of my dealings with EDD for my lifetime and to all of you reading this, they are absolutely the best reliable attorneys to hire if it is a tough case.
