Connor Fields at Helios Solar was incredibly helpful. The solar company who installed our system, Climax Solar, filed for bankruptcy and went out of business. All summer our solar system was not working. After many phone calls to try to figure out what to do, we contacted Helios Solar. Connor got back to us immediately, got permission from us to look at our account, and determined right away what the issue was and what we needed to do, ie contact Consumers as the electric voltage push was too high. Consumers took care of the issue, but without the guidance from Helios Solar and Connor, we would still be trying to figure out what was wrong. Seriously cannot thank Connor and Helios Solar, and their expertise, for saving us! We weren't even their initial client, however, we will be going forward! We really, really appreciate the time you took to help our situation.

Brandon was the primary contact for my install; he was easy to communicate with and always quick to answer any questions. Brandon, Connor, and the whole team did the install on time and exactly as promised. They have all the equipment needed to do a professional install. It only took one-and-a-half days to install my ground-mounted system. It is operating as expected, and it is nice to know that Helios is here to provide any support if needed in the future.
There are numerous solar installers out there, and solar energy can be a large investment, so don’t pick the wrong company! Helios is an established local company, and I’m very impressed with their work.
I feel like I got what I paid for. Overall craftsmanship seems solid. I do recommend you educate yourself on the topic before engaging any company, if possible. And of course, location is KEY.
The folks at Helios were helpful and efficient from start to finish. The key was that our house, with a somewhat fragmented and in places very steep roof, was a difficult job -- indeed, another company had already told us that it was unsuitable for solar installation. The Helios team came in, showed us how and where they could do the install, and got the job done quickly and unobtrusively.
Since the install, our array has performed exactly as expected, saving us significantly on electric bills and helping power up our plug-in hybrid Honda. We are very satisfied Helios customers and recommend them for anyone's solar needs.
Helios responded promptly to my request to evaluate our suitability for solar, unlike 4 companies who didn't, even after repeated requests. They sent out their chief installer who answered all our questions. They promptly sent an estimate that compared favorably with other information we had found on costs. They installed the system in a day. The only delay in hook up came from the power company. Helios filed all of the necessary forms and someone always returned our calls or emails the same day. This is a great company to do business with!
We were extremely pleased with the Panels that Helios Solar installed. Helios gave us excellent service form the time they came to our site to verify the location, to the time they installed the panels. They answered all the questions that we had even after the installation was finished. Given all the companies that offer solar panels, we are glad that we choose Helios and don't believe we could have chosen a better company. I do regret contacting a company online since they are constantly calling us no matter how many times they are told to stop.
This is the kind of company you feel good working with. No unwanted surprises, totally dependable and professional, completed the work exactly when they said they would, and did all the headache paperwork with the power company. I would 100% recommend Helios for your solar install!

I am a current solar array owner requiring service for an existing solar array issue. The company that installed it went bankrupt. I tried to find a local company like Helios. At first, Helios Solar didn't return voicemails that were left. After making contact, they refused to service the brand.
The approach that Helios Solar takes makes it difficult to recommend solar to others. It is not like getting HVAC or appliance service. Local companies will refuse to call you back or just refuse to offer service. The lack of local options makes it so you have to look as far away as Detroit for service - making the repair unnecessarily expensive.
Why won't Helios Solar just charge an hourly rate to fix stuff? I can get everything else around my house fixed by someone local. It is just unnecessary, and they do it because it isn't worth the money to them. As a result, tough to recommend solar, tough to recommend Helios Solar - as they essentially perpetuate all the problems you hear about that make solar ownership more of a hassle than it is probably worth.

At Helios, we sympathize with your current situation. However, we cannot unilaterally assist you with resolving your system’s malfunction via a warranty claim.
Per the conversation that I had on the phone with you on the business day following your initial Saturday call, your system was installed by another company using Solar Edge hardware. As I explained, we are not a Solar Edge installer, and do not currently work with their equipment. This means we cannot access diagnostics for your system or process warranty claims though Solar Edge’s technical support system. Further, we do not have direct access to spare parts required for repair work.
During our call, I referred you to SolarEdge to work with their field operations team to process a warranty claim, as a system owner. I also suggested other SolarEdge dealers in our area that could help you process your warranty claim.
Again, I sympathize with the problems you are experiencing. I thought that I had offered you all the assistance that we could practically provide.
